  • Gender diversity at the workplace in India - Is it a place where I can be ME. Women form less than 20 % of the labour force in Corporate India. Even in tech industry there are less than 40% women. Reliable data about the share of LGBTQAI is not available. There are several social and practical barriers, including sexual harassment at the workplace. Each one of us has to consciously work towards making workplaces more inclusive. Diversity is a noun while Inclusion is a verb. Inclusion begins with “I”. Arti has a consulting practice in Leadership Development since March 2000Prior to that she has worked with the Eicher group for 9 years.Ms. Arti mostly works up on the field of Diversity and Inclusion. She actively involved in developing organization cultures that facilitate inclusion anddevelop leaders who leverage diversity. She is certified by OCAI for Organization Culture Development&facilitator and Coach for DDI -Development Dimensions International. Some of her assignment includes Building a shared vision based on value, Design and Execution of Development Centres, Mentoring/ Coaching / counselling of key leaders. What a BS!
Stereotypes? Let’s make fathers breastfeed! Mother is a mother and that shouldn’t be underestimated.
Today all the LGBTQA getting way more consideration than needed.
You say that if you would hire equally men and women than you would have 50/50? So why HR departments are almost exclusively consist of women? Men and women ARE different. Men generally speaking are attracted to things and women are generally attracted to relations.
Another important point about diversity- the fact that two persons look different doesn’t mean they think differently. Diversity isn’t actionable you cannot set it as a goal and there is no benefit in it
