When men speak about these things then they are branded "sexist and bigots" etc. No, unfortunately that's the way it is and women who care about justice and honesty as well the men in their lives they have to speak out about it. Where men are wrongly treated so are women and vice versa and we are part of one another therefore should stand up for one another, that's the right thing to do just as men have given their lives down through the ages to protect their loved ones so should women do what they can. That is your point of view...may be your life experiences have made u believe that but the truth is different and u can see it if u look around with an open mind....observe when a woman walks on the street....notice how some men letch...catcall..stalk...push deliberately....u might think its a small issue...but now imagine u go out to a mall...store...or just going to work or walking down a street...if groups of women did this to u ...every single day...would u like it...it happens almost everywhere for all kinds of women...some men know this...some dont notice...
Streets, shops, workplaces and public transport all have much larger no of men than women...women face a different world....she might look happy and effortless...which she is but she is happy even after facing all that...
In most countries women are not allowed higher education and conditioned to b housewives...i know many girls who were good in studies and wanted to have a career but were forced to consider marriage...when a woman is dependent as a housewife she only files for divorce when she is abused beyond what she can bear...in some societies it is still a stigma to be a divorcee...after that men say that women have it easy because they get alimony!
In some countries boys are preferred over girls beause they earn(girls are not allowed to work) so there is female foeticide and infanticide....if a family has both sons and daughters...they are treated differently...money is not spent on girls education...sometimes if the family is poor then more food is consumed by the male members
Girls cant travel alone safely...cant go outside at night even in emergency...these are only some of the problems faced by girls...
Men in turn say they face legal problems...but the law is same for everyone...if a woman hits a man or harms him she will face the law.
Men say they have to go to war...take responsibilty..behave like a man...and so on....its because women were considered weak...equality should aim at destroying this system...feminism is against this system not men...if men are also suffering then our aim is the same...women want to join the army...they want to work...women are told to behave like a lady more often than men are told to behave like men
And for trivial issues like dressing and makeup...men can go around bare chested ...women have no problem so men should not have a problem with what women wear...men also wax their hair...style their beard and do makeup especially in the entertainment industry and kpop idols are in fact popular for their makeup among other things...women world over are their fans...they dont tease them or tell them what to do and what not.
Every human should be able to do what they want as long as it doesnt harm others...gender should not restrict us..
Women alone or in groups can do all that some men do like letching...stalking..catcalling..abusing but they dont do that and they should not...no one should do such things.
Most men might be good but the criminals are mostly men.
Women have much more difficult lives than men...maybe thats y they are emotionally stronger...men need to be emotionally strong too and not complain despite having easier lives.

I am not Indian, never been, but I'll say this. As an American male, this is also a reality for us. When I walk around town, or do anything where I might encounter a women I always worry about the new power they weild foolishly. Sometimes it is just. However, most of the time it is used as a way to get women something they want. I also included how our divorce system works, how it steals the mans hard work and effort, how it enables the woman to not work while the man slaves away just to make payments for the divorce even though they aren't married anymore, how it makes men give up on living. Ma'am, I don't know if you'll be reading these comments, but I and many other men in America would welcome you with open arms to help spread this truth.

Amazing and very emotional talk. I had a hard time watching it, which makes it all the more important to sit it out. Thank you for this, Deepika. Sadly men can't speak up about men's issues without being socially shamed and portrayed as woman haters or crybabies. Ironically it takes amazing empathic women like you and Karen Straughan to speak up for men, and we are very greatful for your efforts. I'm so tired of this one sided approach to gender equality, and the outright hostility towards even listening to men's issues, let alone acknowledging them. Dispite the overwhelming statistics and studies backing them up. It's shameful how especially those who claim to be all about equality do their best to sweep this under the carpet. It isn't a zero sum game. These issues aren't gender issues, they are social and human issues. All that claiming these are gendered issues does is feed hostilities and widen the divide between the genders, for a large part to do with attention and funding. Feminism, in the west, is big money. What else are all those professional victims going to do with their useless women's studies degrees? It's time we make laws gender neutral, which is possible for the vast majority of laws.
Again, thank you, Deepika, for restoring my faith in humanity.

In India we need to introduce new law, new helpline number, separate department for men's and their family members safety from wrong and fabricated cases. Justice should be for truth not for the gender. Our government should consider this as serious and most important.
I am not expecting any monetary support, I just want to spread this until we get new law, helpline, separate department for men's and family safety.
Kindly do this for us, our family, our surroundings, our heirs 🙏🙏🙏🙏

In my experience it has always been women.. with sometimes male helpers, who have inflicted the most heartless and unkind harm on me. If your inner voice is trying to get your attention when you are around this abuser, when you feel a bit queasy and things don't really feel or seem right then trust that to be a warning that you must run.. but not too quickly you do not want to offend them and experience that venomous backlash of them feeling abandoned by you. no, do it slowly and nicely then hopefully they will just move on to another victim. Once this is done then never look back.. wipe them completely from your body mind and spirit perhaps forever

Ma'am, great work, your work can help to maintain the equilibrium of society, but actually, no society can reach equilibrium. the game of power will always be there. the discriminator may be gender, colour, race or cast. the powerful will suppress the week. this is human nature or law of nature.
