Great video. I grew up watching the same face on the Homelite my family owned (it was my friend). I was born into a family running a 1957 19 ft Carter Craft (Panama City, FL) powered by an early 60's Homelite (I am 54). The boat was a beauty until hurricane Camille hammered her at her boat house on Dog River (Mobile, AL--1969). My grandfather sold the river home in '71 and my parents acquired a trailer for "Flo's Folly" to ride on. The Homelite worked hard pulling a shrimp net in Mobile Bay for many years. We would bring the catch to the grandparents and have a feast of beautiful bay shrimp. I learned to double water ski behind the Homelite. I have three or four good digitized slides that were taken before Camille if you might like to see them. I have them on another machine and would need to send to your email. Thanks again for the memories.
These are durable old motors, especially the later Fisher-Pierce models which used valve and head technology from racing and were tested at the factory for 250 hours at wide open throttle.

It turns up to 5400 rpm wide open.
How far does your engine rev up with that 12" pitch propeller? Do you reach the specified 5500 turns per minute?
