Apparently Peter's face was changed in the remaster to better resemble the voice actor Yuri Lowenthal, mainly to make the motion capture much easier.
But he still looks nothing like Yuri Lowenthal and how come no one else got a facelift to better portray their actors?

@@DinoDave150 Well of course it doesn't, the dude's almost 50. And if you look at the shape of their faces, they do look pretty similar.
While I like the instantaneous load times, I still really like those Subway scenes, both in the original game and Miles Morales. They’re short, sweet, and just little nuggets of sweetness, especially when you see how Peter and Miles pass the time.

Honestly, one of the biggest ironies on the plot of this game, is that one of the mayor plot points during Miles's early comic run, is that he didn't want to be the Black Spider-Man, but rather _just_ Spider-Man, since he felt him just being "The black version of something" would undermine what he was trying to do, which was to save people because it was the right thing to do for someone with his abilities.
So in-universe, a piece of media which had his Spider-Man persona as a protagonist having racial issues as a pretty big part of the plot would annoy him to no end, and I can appreciate irony like that.
Speaking of, how would miles feel about the blm stuff? Considering his dad was the police chief, wouldn't he at least hate the defund the police stuff being thrown, since that would basically be spitting on his father's grave?

Personally, I think he would find it pretty insulting, specially considering some of the stuff I've seen of the ACAB stuff adds "Specially the ones you're related to", which would be incredibly aggravating to someone whose dad died trying to rescue people during a terrorist attack.
Like, I know he's not gonna be on the completely opposite side of the spectrum and say corruption isn't a thing because of what he does, but between what happened to his dad, and probably having some family friends who also died or were injured in similar circumstances, I seriously doubt he would approve of it.
I mean he wears black version of Spidermna costume. What did he except he would be called by media?

They changed this Peter Parker’s face to closely resemble his actor, Yuri Lowenthal.
They claim the new face model better matches Yuri's facial capture. It doesn't really look like Yuri at all.

According to the devs, Peter's face model was recast to someone that more closely matched the profile of Yuri Lowenthal's facial capture. I'm guessing they just wanted expressions and facial nuances to be more accurate to Lowenthal's performance, though it's still a bit of a weird move.
Man, imagine being the facial model for Spider-Man only to have the entire internet literary hate your face
I'm pretty sure the original version of Peter looks more like Yuri than the new version. IMO, that whole "face model" reason is just an excuse to make Peter look more "marketable" to gamers without realizing that, after several years of balancing crime fighting and problems in his personal life, Peter shouldn't look fresh out of high school.
CYB3R2K30 The problem was is that he looked “too” young. I know a 23 year old can look like what the “new” Peter is, but having the face of what Peter in the original is far more believable. In the original, Peter is 23 years old and does look like it. The facial capture for the original in my opinion is a lot more expressive than the new one. I’m not one of those people who dislike it because it can be seen as resembling Tom Holland. I dislike it because they tried to fix something that wasn’t broken, only to make it less appealing.
I have never skipped past a plot summary, or any part of a video from you before, I like to watch it all. Feels weird... but anyway, great video as always! Also JoJo next year huh? I planned on starting the series next year myself, perfect timing, guess I have more to look forward to!

Seeing these Spider-Man games become so successful really makes me wish Disney would capitalize on the Arkham-esque video games for their original superheroes. I'd pay good money to play a Duck Avenger game in this format, but the realist in me knows they'd sooner user Darkwing Duck. Still, I'm free to dream.

I starting to think that the next mainline game will be called “SPIDER-MEN”. Where you can switch between Peter and Miles.
Miles is also fantastic. It’s an unwritten rule that you need to have style while swinging as Spider-Man, and Miles has style in spades. As for Peter’s new face, it was jarring at first, but after a couple more playthroughs I’ll get used to it. Maybe.
That or maybe have the next mainline game be centered around Eddie Brock a.k.a Venom as the main protagonist
Careful, we might get a Shattered Dimensions-style Spider-Verse game next. Only way to do Spider-Gwen since it doesn't seem like this universe has mentioned Gwen Stacey yet.

I loved this game, already got the platinum on it. They definitely made improvements from the first game ( better trick system and even better traversal) and addressed issues some people had with it (excess random crimes). I had no problems with this one.

What's wrong with JoJo? Personally, it's my favorite anime/manga series. Great characters, great art style, creative action, great music (in the anime), and fun plots with tons of surprises, what's not to love?

@@Jordan3DS If I may, I started with the OVA from the 80's. I thought it was fine. Classic anime action with little fluff. I even enjoyed that the villainous DIO was practically shrouded in mystery, then when he popped up, he insta-wrecked the heroes.
Phantom Blood took that mystery, ripped it to shreds and then took a giant dump on it. Daddy issues. That's what motivated Dio Brando, daddy issues. I know, it gets a bit more complex, but come on. There is that, and I can't think of any TV show, video game *or* movie that I had a more miserable time watching than the first episode of Phantom Blood.
@@ArcherSlamBAM I haven't seen the part 3 OVA outside of CZcams clips, but yeah, it looks pretty bad and doesn't represent part 3 very well. I also agree about Phantom Blood, it's pretty much seen as the "necessary boring part to sit through to get to the good stuff" part of JoJo. It's only around 8 or 9 episodes, though, I believe, so at least it's short. The series REALLY gets good with part 2, with the most popular ones being parts 2, 4, and 7.
I don't know if I'd say that Phantom Blood "ruins the mystery of Dio", though. I think his "daddy issues" are only a small part of it, much of his character is also focused around the fact that he was a poor boy that had to develop cunning and wit to survive in a brutal world, while Jonathan is a pampered rich boy who's never really struggled with anything in his life. I think his escalation is interesting as well, he goes from kicking a dog to murdering it later on, then murdering Jonathan's father before destroying an entire village of people towards the end. You can see him slowly lose his humanity over the course of the part, which is interesting.

If you look as a whole at the majority of games steam will always be cheaper , more convenient and more portable. Consoles sadly lost a lot of what made them great.Also are you telling me that you are willing to deal with scalper, bad parts (cause every new console suffers from this now) when you know they will just be releasing a new better version in a 1-3 years like they always do, for Spider man? If these Spider-Man games were on PC I'd be all over that, but I'm also content with getting consoles from time to time. There are games that are on console that I desperately wish were on PC though, Sonic Unleashed is one of those games.
