"Getting into a high-pitched argument" is absolutely fantastic titling by Sky's social media person here. Bravo.
It needs to be HEATED
Much better than the usual “heated”
Very fitting for Jamie
@@samprizeman4509 i thought this too lol
Yes 😂
2018 being considered retro just makes feel so old. 2018 feels like yesterday
Did we REALLY have hair like that back then?!
Two years of pandemic seems like ages ago
@@terrordoidao8931 Strange how things can seem recent and a distant memory so seamlessly.
Scary isn’t it, remember this like it was yesterday
2018 feels like a year from now.
"High-pitched argument" stop it Sky I can't handle this one 😂☠️☠️☠️
"Why do you keep saying 5 or 600 million pound" never fails to have me creased
BAYERN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jamie thinks Gary is talking about Transfer spending , but he’s talking about the cost of the stadium. Gary doesn’t clear this up for Jamie but instead gets increasingly more annoyed by Jamie’s confusion and interjection right when Gary is about to explain his point. Just hilarious all around , like a comedy. 10/10
@@CZcamsIsTwitter2.0 Jamie knows what he is saying. But Neville is saying the cost is ongoing whereas Jamie thinks it was upfront. Tbf neither of them know for sure. Both have a point. Id say Jamie is most accurate with his points though. You cant build a stadium made for an elite club and not keep that standard in the playing and football-side staff.
Carragher was right. A club like Spurs doesn’t get a squad and manager like that often. You need to spot that and spend the little extra to win something while you have the chance.
7:40 where the high pitched argument is lol
🤣
Jamie Carragher’s argument aged really well.
DEAD ON, as a Spurs supporter.
Again proving himself as the best pundit on TV
Absolutely.
His argument is stupid. Just because Tottenham are doing poorly doesn’t mean that therefore they should’ve spent more under Poch. Correlation is not causation
@@TheAmbienceCorner Poch got them to a UCL final and wasn't given any money to take his team to the next level. Klopp when he lost a UCL final was given Alison and the tools to improve.
High-pitched 💀
Wish they’d put the dates on these for more context…
Based on some things said I think it’s around autumn 2018
Yep, like Booth said, this was Fall ‘18. This was following Spurs 0-1 Man City. I can tell by the NFL markings on the pitch
The last time City won (or scored) away to spurs
Came here for the "High-pitched" and it did not disappoint! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Funny thing is Sane and Mane incident didn't had the term "heated".
ok?
You're right, that is bloody hilarious
That was in Germany
You know it's a good argument when it's a high pitched one 🤣🤣
Carra generally gets it right.
No
How can you watch this and think he's even close to right? He's wrong in every aspect of this clip. There's more to running a football club than winning trophies. That's simply the cold hard fact of the privatised football industry. Tottenham, no matter what anyone thinks of them as a team, are an outstandingly well run football club. Their finances, contract management, stadium, facilities, everything about them is literally top notch. The only difference between them and Liverpool (who were also brilliantly run against a budget) in the last 2 decades is that Liverpool got the major appointments right and the right signings in a short space of time. And that happened ONCE in about 30 years. They kept trying and trying and trying and did the exact same thing as Tottenham - Spearing, Downing, Diouf, Benteke, Lovren, Aquilani, Robbie Keane, the list is endless.
This idea that Tottenham should "push the boat out" is nonsense. NO club does that. Clubs operate within a budget and if they're lucky they hit the jackpot and swim against the tide of the mega rich (Utd), or state /oligarch owned with no respect for financial prudence (City, Chelsea). Arsene Wenger did it once, and Jurgen Klopp did it once. In the last 30 years. Just think about it. Every other club have tried and failed to topple the big money boys on a consistent basis. The only reason Arsenal won any Premier League titles despite operating at a tenth of Utd's budget (wage and transfer fees) is because Wenger struck gold with Henry, Vieira, Pires, Toure in the space of a season or two.
@@vcsl14I'm not reading all that.
@@vcsl14 the purpose of football is to win things
@@maxsch8454 this is the most limited understanding of modern day sport I’ve ever seen. I can assure you, “football” and running an established, century old football club are not the same things. You need to go back to school
I think we'll listen more to Gary on finances , but weirdly Carra was right, the team would fall away and the manager would move on. Taking a risk would be Gambling on that last player to win you the title, if it didn't work then you'd be left with the burden/flop
What does Gary know about Finances?
The guy literally does property redevelopments he's worth an absolute fortune. Chairman of Salford ? Need any more examples ...
@@Speedystig Acting like Carragher doesn't have his own Charity and doesn't know how to use money lol. It ain't that deep. Carragher won this debate so Neville clearly doesn't know much
Well this was years ago, Tottenham have increased their profits untold amounts since this video and they still won nothing and spend no money. Think carra was right from a fan perspective, Gary from an owner (Salford) perspective.
@@Speedystigowning property is a licence to print money and he had a pretty good head start with premier league wages so I wouldn't hold him in that high regard for taking his millions in wages and putting it into the safest form of investment that exists.
when did this happen? Thanks. It would be nice if sky sports retro also included the year in the bio when this occurred
Gary Neville: "He's the best operator in football, Daniel Levy"
That's going well isn't it Gary?🤣🤣🤣
I am surprised that the difference in accents between Liverpool and Manchester are so big even though they are not so far apart geographically.
Are you just learning English like?
I think the Liverpool accent has a bigger influence from 1) Ireland, because of how many Irish people emigrated to Liverpool, and also maybe 2) Wales, which it's only about 80 miles from
@@hmu05366 No, I am not, I have spoken english for 30 years now but not as fluently as swedish and croatian of course. 😄
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Spurs have just sacked interim coach Cristian Stellini 🤣
Love the high pitch banter! 😂
This is truly a brilliant moment. Laughed so hard at this back then and I cant ever see this get old
They hit the F Minor note beautifully
F minor can't be a note. Its a chord
Stellini is the closest you're going get to the iconic GTA 4 protagonist Niko Bellic.
Remember that season Tottenham reaching Champions League Final as well, after beating City by the way.
‘High Pitched’ a brand new podcast with Gary and Carra!
carragher spot on.
what year is this from?
One of the greatest arguments of all time
Lol
"Stoke spend 60 million and they were in the championship" carra did spurs dirty.
It's wonderful to see the passion of both Jamie and Gary, that Liverpool V Utd rivalry is still there! We all throw our toys out the pram but a sign of progress is that we do it less frequently!
Cara’s argument aged unbelievably well. 👏
The Harry Maguire bit?
What year is this? Cause this could still relate to Spuds now... 🤔 Carragher was right, "are we going to talk about this for another 10yrs!?!" 🙄 Yes! Pretty much (this must easily be 5/6yrs ago), they still haven't done anything 🙄😂
The title made me laugh out loud before even clicking on the video haha
This is so retro that it predates the 'HEATED DEBATE' meme that Sky has embraced.
There is a high pitched noise here 8:45 and I can't for the life of me figure out who it comes from?! It sounds like 'Ehhh Orrrrr'. I swear it's been edited in!
Is this from last days?
8:45 the pitch is off the charts
"What part of that don't you understand?" 😂
Great video.
From "heated" to "high-pitched" 😂
Well said jamie
We should have subtitles when these two talk
7:45 Their pitch was off the charts!🤣
Set my car alarm off
High pitched...heated?
No. Their accents get high pitched when they get angry
Poch did move on and the players are moving on as well
Even after all these years still true 😭😭😭
Extremely spursy
Spurs will have these pundits arguing forever...
This was a great watch 😂
6:55 to 8:00 is legendary
Newcastle sublime performance .
That's it
The fact that this is on retro AND their main channel is crazy
crazy how the criticsm for spurs haven't changed at all
Gary is spot on but I also agree with Jamie you have to spend to progress
When you have Jose, poch and conte as gaffer and nothing works out you know the club is the problem simple as
Love how Carra gets so wound up and the more he gets wound up, the higher his voice gets! lol 😂
Also love the way Gary says (pronunciation) 'Reel' Madrid, instead of 'Ray-al' Madrid.
This is great, not just the high pitch noises lol but the actual analysis. It seems to have come true considering where spurs are now.
Both are right... hahahahaha
As fans we’re reaching a point where we feel like our club at this moment of time,it’s disconnected, the board, transfer, mistake after mistake,as fans we want to know,is there a plan?Direction?,Strategy?.Project?,long-term?,winning?.It’s time to boycott and protest,Levy is a failure,he lied to us and no promises. This situation is now getting worse.
High pitched in the title is crazy💀💀
I see multiple pitches
when maguire was a good player lmaooooooo
Signing for Man United ruined his career I feel
@@Daniel_O_ Baffling insight
He was never a good player. He was made to look better than he actually was at Leicester and he had 1 good international tournament and in typical British media fashion they over hyped a British player.
@BIG DADDY not really, anything that happens at Man United is amplified in the media
Carragher was full on Scouse and Gary was proper Madchester!
"Got a interesting protagonist, with some little twist and turns"
6:59
Entertaining
4 touches in the opponents box jheeze thats Gabby Abonglahor numbers that
Love the way carra keeps mentioning maguire as if hes some kinda 🐐. Lord maguire😅
But he was class back then
How are they pundits ?
Carra was bang on
Damn
why are you saying 5/600 million...? the stadium cost in total 1bn sooooo yeah. BUT Jamie was right pretty much, they went nowhere and are now in free fall. Not that im going to complain as a Villa Fan.
when a moment jamie shaking his head on gary claim that daniel levy is one of the best football operator, we can see now straight away who's the winner on this debate. Jamie is a clear winner and spot on
My dog is going mental
When it comes to high-pitched, no one beats Jamie Carragher. 🎶🧑🏻🎤
When did building a stadium become a managers job.
I have not idea what carra just said but yeah, it was pretty high pitched.
United v Liverpool with these two theres always gonna be some kind of dispute
ohhh i love every single bit about this !! we need to keep puting this pair up for heatED debates. spurs on the other hand miss their golden chance. that final was the downfall of all . levy shouldnt build stadium and spend 200m on players when he need now is gone they are back where they always were mid table at best.
hey hey calm down
This will all going to go away soon - Carra
Writing today after Spurs lost 6-1 to Newcastle.
Carra was spot on. Push the boat out. The only way.
Jamie carragher staring in the remake of “me myself & Irene” main role as Hank
W carragher
Apparently, arguing afterwards off camera, their pitch reached the heights only a dog can hear...
This sent my dog into a frenzy
The title killed me, too funny
"Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville argue at a pitch only dogs can hear"
Nobody can beat a scouser in a squeaky-voice off
😂😂😂
TH was actually trying to sign Maguire? They dodged a bullet on that one
It's like a couple of old grannies bickering 😂
Neville doesn't know what he's talking about.
The budget for the Stadium is totally separate from the football side. It had nothing to do with football expenditure.
The only video with a more appropriate title is: "Horse kicks tree, farts on dogs and runs away".
Jamie Carragher, in the same breath, explains how he both understands, and doesn’t understand how finances work. 😂
Sky did it again 🙌
Why is Neville always wrong.. Ole, Ronaldo, etc...
What was he wrong about regarding ronaldo?
sky sports retro is the best CZcams channel idec
would have been even better if they gave them both a helium balloon each 😂😂
“gets into a high pitched argument” 😂
You can imagine these two looking in the mirror at home talking to themselves preparing to come in for this heated debate LOL
Love the extreme exaggerations by Neville lol. Carragher says they've spent 29mill net spend and they could have invested more to bolster the squad, Neville jumps to 5-600 million?!? lol. What?! Imagine if they had spent an extra 100 million on that squad, they could have won something. Now here we are in 2023, the team is in disarray, Kane and Son are reaching the end of their primes. They wasted the best team they had in decades, Carragher was right.
Great title
New stadium haha.. no thanks there’s tons of history in our ground Neville we don’t sell down the river like others
In retrospective, Caragher was 100% right, and this season Spurs could miss out on Europe, and back then they could have maybe pushed a a bit more. They played it safe, and are now paying for it.
Ho Ho Ho Ho...Merry Christmas Everyone...
...Howay The Toon Army...
Leicester league win 2/3 years ago jamie! Cmon man it was 2016
This is Retro, not a recent clip. It’s from when Pochettino was in charge and Liverpool hadn’t won the PL. So it would only have been a couple of years.
The clip is from 2018/19 season I believe
