So what do you think? are you done and bored with ME's already? Or do you love them?
I ended up getting a 1k il head piece for my rogue from the etching, so there is some good stuff you can get from them, but I agree for the most part. I've been bored with mes, and I haven't been wanting to run them. Only reason I would is for artifact gear from campaign store
I'm on PC, so it's been out a while for me, and I honestly maybe run my 3 expeditions once a week. I've gotten one 1k IL armor piece from the Adventurers Chest, and I think I've gotten all the vanity pets apart from that rare black dragon. Yesterday I took one of my level 70 toons I haven't touched since mod 16 dropped and ran him through the complete Undermountain Campaign as well as getting to the restoring the ruined armor quest and doing the 3x ME. This was done in one full day with a friend who was doing the same. So, I went from level 70 to 80, completed the campaign and got its 5 boons and rAD rewards, and by the time I completed the last ME for the day I had my alabaster weapon and a couple of 950 IL armor items. Oh, and that toon's first vanity pet as well as the rAD from those adventurers chests. This morning I got on and did the 3x ME and ended up getting the alabaster offhand.
Now, since this is a new toon basically, it only had the level 70 Barovia starter gear when I started Undermountain. It went from being under 7k IL and not being able to touch the easiest HE in it's stronghold, to being near 15k IL and able to solo the 4 easiest HEs and able to do the random intermediate queue if I wanted. I'm sure if I keep doing it's 3x ME runs it'll have the best high IL gear it can get from that, with a small chance of even getting one or more of the 1k IL items.
This basically fulfills the goals of Undermountain and its MEs. The players doing the runs now on PC are mostly all near or over 20k IL, so all 3 ME runs take only a matter of minutes. I think my run today was dune in under 15 minutes. So they're really not all that bad or much of a chore and at least more profitable than running the leveling queue for 8k rAD getting Dread Legion for the millionth time in a row.
Will I continue running MEs every day on that toon? Prolly not, it just depends on how long it takes to get the high IL gear for this toon and how bad I need the AD. Once I'm to the point where I'm just hoping to get 1k IL gear from Zok, I'll really only be running it if and when guild mates care to run it. I still have miles to go to get 20k+ IL (will soon need 24k for latest content), and I'll still need to go to other areas for the real gear for my class and work on all the rest of the campaigns of which I have none done on this toon.
So... I don't think MEs were really meant to be, "You're going to want to run these every day for the rest of your toons life and will enjoy it!" If that's what your takeaway was and that's what your trying to get out of it, then yeah.. You prolly do feel disappointed. But, if you take it as "Undermountain+MEs will take you or a friend's new level 70 toon to being level 80, viable, productive, able to contribute, and able to hold its own in the world." Then I think you'' have the right take on it and might actually enjoy doing it for what its worth and helping others to do the same.
I mean come'on, you can take a new player who just hit level 70 and still feels useless, to being able to hang with you, not feel useless, and able to continue without you to better their self. So what's not to like about that? It's basically a new player bootstrap. Not only that, for the already end-game players it gave you LoMM and soon we'll have mod 17 and a 24k IL trial to run.
So, I can't really hate on it. What I can really hate on is how long it takes them to fix broken things, like wizard's arcane path, the stronghold marauders event, so many broken/useless companions, etc... Specially marauder's because it's something that our guild used to really enjoy getting together to do and now 9 out of 10 times it instant fails, and that 1 time it doesn't it still fails before the 2nd wave and to make matters worse, there's no love for guilds/strongholds being worked on at all for the next update. That's what upsets me and my guild mates who most left shortly after mod 16, and many still are falling away...

The Assist Man everything in Neverwinter is that way, so my question is, what do you enjoy doing in the game?
What changes would you like to see? Me personally, would love a new story every month to run though, no new gear or a huge campaign, just something to run through that’s interesting and different. Think about all the campaign maps that we aren’t using since we beat them, there has to be some way the developers can use them for a temporary story?
Anyways thats not my expertise, so maybe what im asking for is a lot more complicated than I realize?
LilSquanchy PS4 player. I heard there’s a way to summon special bosses by placing three runes at the beginning. It’s random and the bosses are tougher if they spawn. There will be a wraith that appears after a boss fight you give him one of your essences from chests at the end of ME. Hope that helps get you back into Undermountain.
@@madanthonywane Yeah, there's that too... But, you have to have gone so far through LoMM for that to work.
If im being honest, I think conceptually they are amazing.
However like you said, sometimes you can get lumped with a really long set of areas which makes it really slow and bland content.
To add to that, there is no main rewards that make the expedition worth my time to run every single day (now that ive got my alabaster set).
It sucks because they are a great idea and can be fun but its too long, samey and bordererline useless for gear now :/
Fighter is broken, soul Weaver is broken, magnitude is way too low and dynamic sucks
lots of things are still broken in the games its sad i agree, but hey instead of them fixing stuff theyll just start hyping up mod 17 with more broken things ;)

I deleted the game after a week. It just got boring to me personally.
It is very boring, I agree. I log in, collect my key, run 3 me's, and log out.
at this point cant say i blame you. mod 16 is already boring me already after not even a month.

My Biggest gripe is the lack of originality. They copy and paste the same thing over and over and over for how many mods now?
I equate to listing to one of your favorite albums, but you can only listen to that album. Of course its good but eventually you will grow tired and want something different.
They always go with the safe option, what they know, instead of trying something new and different.

My opinion it's not bad, or good, average. And now more expeditions on 17, by then I'm definitely gonna be burnt out on them.
yeah if there is more then i cant even think id want to do them. they are just not rewarding.
I've got all I need out of ME's, which was just the weapons, all I was interested in was more power and it's set bonus. Its got quickly tedious for me especially since I already have what I needed within first 3 days of launch.
I only run ME's to stack rune etchings to give to Zok under the stairs end of each week for rough AD pulling and chances at the Staff of Flowers etc so I can sell on AH if I ever get them to pop.
As for travelling around the Yawning portal, Gathering Weave touched Fragments from those minibosses just pissed me off, the daily grind, the wait time in each spawn location and literally fighting over others in chances of getting a hit on them to get the drop.
CC was removed from the minibosses in this week's patch notes but they can still very easily get one shotted so it's a real pain in the ass gathering those things just to get vanity pets which in turn, 80% of the time you end up with the same one anyway so you inventory for Vanity is overrun with Kuo-Ta or Little Rex's like mine is.
At first, its campaign entertained me, only to find out I completed the dam thing in the same day it launched... (kinda left me speechless).
At first I loved the runic encounters and running around the undermountain zones but now, it's just feels like yesterdays news and I actually get my entertainment back from visiting mod5 content just to find something to do because those were the days when love and effort and pure thought was put into the zones created.
Sadly, Undermountain has done nothing to exceed expectations after getting my weapons. I now put small hope I have left into Uprising console release, just to do the same mission all over again, attain the new weapon set and spend a couple weeks running content before I grow bored and even then, old hunt gear will still be BIS lmao.

I’ve been running 2 toons.. so 6 a day at most... I’m feeling what you’re saying but... they’re alright. I do agree that there is no reason to hit the new zones after completion which does super suck... but there’s also no reason for me to go play in sharandar.. so there’s no difference. MEs are similar to running any other dungeon in that.. there’s a chest at the end and some AD to be made. I’ve found it easier to hit my 100k AD everyday in mod 16 (much easier). I love the new zones too.. I think they’re awesome, but not having a reason to go there is probably one of the biggest problems with neverwinter in general, and I have no idea what the devs can do to change that. If being honest, the fact that the narratives to questlines are pretty much garbage, is probably the biggest problem. I don’t know if I’ve ever watched a whole cutscene in a campaign lol.. just mash the “interact” button and move on. Imagine doing that in the Witcher 3 haha
I like the addition of the Uber bosses for the watcher set. I’m just burned out running them all this time and getting 1 mh alabaster, and like 30 ebonized chest pieces, which have a great perk, but doesn’t work apparently. At this point, I think I should just farm the watcher set only since they’re being stingy alabaster off hand
8.5k rough A.D. That's it, run ME one chaos rune and daily randoms. I hate them, I truly hate them. But got to run them until alabaster😐.
Issue one: rune increase is worthless, why make the dungeon harder or longer for nothing.
Issue two: nothing good comes out if last chest... put more stuff like opals or something.
Issue 3: maps are super annoying, and some mob groups are far crappier (undead) than others.
Issue 4: they are not emotionally rewarding...

@@TheRealAssistMan it would not be bad if.... rune combinations meant something, like three chaos equal a certain run. Items were needed for other parts of game, like crafting or strongholds.
But most importantly there's no gear progression... runic armor is worthless to grind. spy guild is okay if you don't have bis and all the weapons are same I lvl. There's no reason to ever use rage runes... it blows my mind folks running triple rage.

Im not sure why it takes you 30 min to do a Me's run. and I take it the watcher set isnt out yet for you all on cons.
should only take like 15 min a run with 3 runes up. maybe 30 min doing a solo 3 runes run , and ya i can see it take longer with doing the watcher .
ya they can be boring I get that but then dont do them . and In Mod 17 there is more Me's coming thats going to drop Comp gear and so on
I only do the ME's to show my kids how they work. I've gotten what I want from them.
My friend and I have been running 3 a day since the mod dropped. We use the Chaos rune for AD each time. With the AD from the chests and the AD from trading in the stones you get 30k after your VIP bonus. He pulled a music box from the stone chest and I got a artifact armor piece so that alone is the incentive to run them. He got 2 mill for his music box.
aint nothing wrong with that. its always nice to get one of those things but they are super rare and very hard to get

@@I8one2Many Going on 2 months for me. No Staff of Flowers. Think I'm done chasing it and gonna plop down the 2 mil AD on PS4 for it. Grinding ME's only to not be rewarded day after day just isn't worth it anymore. Never was!
@@TheMeanArena I've gotten nothing but garbage for the last 3 weeks from zok. It is kinda disappointing.
Ive been thinking the same thing for a while now. I have the full alabaster set on all three of my toons, and it feels like the incentive of a Zok Box isnt enough to endure the boredom.
If they made the AD drops from the end chest larger (or with a chance of companion/mount drops etc) then it would mean its worth doing to hit the daily cap, but right now its not.
On the plus side, it seems much more people are running regular dungeons again. It feels like the random queues are starting to pop much faster now.

It's all gambling" its all about ppl gambling and i hate it... its all about luck . and they know it coz this is what gonna drive ppl to keep play to keep try to be the best. but let me tall u... after u get what u want Guess what- they gonna come with a new update who makes all u stuff a big SH!T and u gonna need to do all of it again.

They are not boring I for one like them. People like you that use all that old gear will always say it’s boring the gear suck so on so on which I agree with to some point. The reason for master expedition is to help new players get the ilv needed for run in game things like mad mage dungeon. Y’all sit around and play all day long I’m sure if anyone sit around and do something all day long you would get tired of it. Do you get tired of watching tv yeAp, everything get old but don’t make ppl think that the game is boring and no point of doing the new things because people listen to you, I for one like your info and you’ve helped me with my cw. Be happy the game is free they could charge you monthly like most mmo game do and you could be getting the same amount of content and be paying for it. I want to see you play a tank role or healer role all I see you play is dps like play a more challenging role And it will change the experience of the game I play all three and I switch back and forth and I like it. Most of the ppl say this game is getting old ect.... is ppl who burn through the content and spend a lot of money on the game to hurry and get ahead. You know well as I do developers will never drop content fast enough for everyone. There is always other games you can play. Just saying ✌️
They are so boring EPIC fail. WHY???? Because the dungeons are the same exact dungeons everytime!!! The same task to complete, look for a lame ass pickup, then you cant ever max out 10 i think it is, then lame ass reward. I don't play anymore i just get my daily key and log off im bored of Neverwinter its sad i was addicted to this game. I've moved on.

If you feel that the ME were great for a month, but now have out-grown them; your probably playing an MMO. I have my rings, my Alabaster set and all the other gear I want aside from lL 1000 boots. This is the problem with making any area last. The etchings are 5k rad minimum and add some rad from the chaos runes and it makes it easy for most people to hit their cap.
On ps4 no one ques for advanced and barely any for intermediate...the game is bitterly dead. Master expedition I'm out of juice on as i got my alabaster weapons within 10 runs...mod 17 needs to bring back players and make it good or the game is doomed in my view right now.

I wish they would ditch the whole RNG BS that this game is riddled with and implement an actual true farming system. I mean they intentionally set RNG for certain items to be extremely low and rare that only a few people get certain things and the rest are spending months and months trying. Everything should be based on a trade in system. You farm daily for things and once you hit the threshold, you trade those things in for what you need. Of course limit the player per day exactly like they do AD conversion. It would make the game 10x better than RNG BS. Chasing impossible RNG stats and odds isn't farming.
No the ME's are annoying, a waste of time with shit RNG like everything else in the game. Same bullshit grind for the same useless items. I got tired of Cryptics stick and carrot dangling methods a long time ago. Are people really going to let some gambling game control their lives for years and years? Wake up!

I haven't got the alabaster set and not even talk about the lomm. every time I want to join people that are asking for DPS I send them a pm for if I can join them they dont even respond or they are asking for like 23 or 24k and this is starting to pist me off. Even when I get lucky to be accepted at the first boss defeat us the groups that I play with end up quitting like they dont even try. That's my strugle. The problem is the people that play neverwinter are also the problem. except you, at least you are honest and you show all the problems with this game. and could you please just inspect my gear if you dont mind so you can let me know if is good or not or if I lack something. it will be an honor if you give me your opinion man. my character name is gil galad
A word of advice, running Lomm requires a group with good attention and coordination; the same goes for everyone's ability play, whether it's dealing damage, tanking, or healing and playing a supportive role. The most you'll want to pay attention to are the bosses and their mechanics.
For instance, the first boss has these mini phases where the mimics spawn in each corner of the area. Ideally, each dps should be assigned one corner and the healer+tank take a corner together to kill off the mimics. Failure to do so results in a number of golems to spawn that- to say the least- will make the fight significantly harder. After these phases, you get to attack the boss directly again, but in the middle of fighting, any player except for the healer will be dragged down towards the center into a cocoon. If the healer does not focus on this player and keep them at full health, the moment the effect ends the player will "self destruct", defeating himself and everyone else engaged in the fight... These phases can occur more than once. Once you've prepared yourself and the party for these mechanics, the fight should be significantly easier. If your team cannot kill off the mimics or the healer cannot heal the cacooned player, either assess and switch up your powers or try to grind gear that assist with damage dealt or healing in general. If it also wasn't already obvious, try to hit the stat caps as well as over 100k power to make your dps the most meaningful.

@@danny24042002 didn't mention needing hdps for Lomm, but mentioned you need close to that for first boss mechanics. Low il doesn't equal hdps and high il implies high usage of new gear or better refined enchantments, runestones and insignias. Experienced players can speedrun the dungeon without needing insanely high item level. To this day, I still don't understand why the game insists item lvl as an assessment of the player's capability to run content.

I agree. Been doing 6-9 MEs per day for 4 weeks now and have nothing to show for it, other than a few blue companions and an Alabaster set. Unfortunately as a Cleric, I need the Watcher set and the Staff of Flowers and the Music Box. :/
Just recently completed my Alabaster weapon set. Now I'm seeking the watcher set, new artifacts and a few 1k il gear. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that getting these things are purely rng based... You can bet your top dollar that I'm NOT looking forward to it.

I wouldn't say bored since I'm farming the Essence for the watcher set. However, my RNG is horrible!!! I have yet to get a main hand to drop on any of my toons from ME's. After running 9 ME's a day since release, and to not get one Alabaster main hand, I'm about to just say fuck it and go play something else.

Hunting for the Watcher weapons are a nice challenge. I'm a completionist so I want to fill my collection. Maybe make some videos of you defeating all the bosses? It would be a nice tutorial for a lot of people who don't understand how to.

we just got mod 16 on consoles 23 days ago lol. you think i care about mod 17?? that aint gonna be out for like 4 months. if you think its better then go with it. but it does nothing for anyone that has stat caps.
They are tedious as hell. Also, I think RNG hates you because I got the weapon set in the first 3 days and most of the other good gear in the first two weeks. Now I just run it for runes. I want that bronze dragon damn it!
But yeah, compared to the Barovia hunts? Yeah it i garbage.

I admit, I am bored with them as far as thier content. The MEs have great potential, but need more content inside them. The kill mobs, kill mobs, kill boss, gets old very quickly. I would like to see puzzle's, sled races, and other fun activities mixed in with the traditional stuff.

I mean 550,000 passive ad is a pretty good incentive if you’ve “actually” ran it 100 times
you can make 5 times that if you took the same time spent on mes and ran lomm or t9
The Assist Man what if I can’t run lomm. It’s not bad especially for those who just want to log in for their keys and do dungeon dailies for ad.
then run t9. not saying at all it is bad. there is just far more better ways to use that time to make more money. i make about 60k average per run of lomm. if i ran that 100 times that would be 6 million ad compared to the 550k you are talking about. just something to think about is all.
doing Master Expeditions its for 15k AD and pets ...u have all the pets and u make lots of AD? ok u dont need to do Master Expeditions!! on the next update we gonna get more stuff from it by gambling and luck of course!! this is neverwinter after all
I've run 3x daily haven't got any weapon drops and a bunch of gear I can't use for my barbarian
to me they totally worth running ...i make 60k ad x day ( run them with 4 characters ) and already sold in 1 month 2 arcturia and 2 staff of flowers so to me totally worth

@@TheRealAssistMan yeah really lucky .... but apart from that... from a new player prospective its worth run them for another source of easy ad i know is not that much 15k but everyday is 450k x month with 1 toon so can help quite a bit a new player

any of the dps classes could be best. its all about what you have and most importantly how you play
Ran 1st time got main hand......still looking for off hand. But I would have agree. Once you got what u want then it's just campaign finishing or ur daily grinds.

I think someone should address which class that is broken compared to cleric and barbarian... It is not ok People choose another class and fall way behind after hit level 80... I hit the roof with soul Weaver which i liked a lot after spend much time and money just to find out No matter what i do cleric will be much better... So i made a hellbringer just to find out it is unstable in damage and a struggle too eventhough it is better to do things it is broken too... But I have No choice... Why.. I have spend real money on warlock in Hope to get it work better so i need to keep going..soul Weaver made People mad cause low perform and blamed me... Not the game.. Now the game put My hellbringer in front in demogorgon.. I am a dps not a tank wtf....twice demogorgon failed cause i was the only one with high itl but they need to que a tank and a High itl healer too..that que made My hellbringer look stupid and blame hellbringer... Wtf they need to focus on balancing que

I won't complain my rng in me's is good I have had 4 staff of flowers artifacts in the last two weeks which has made me over 10 mill ad will keep running them in that respect. only thing I have good rng on. My rng on lockboxes is garbage so as long as I'm making ad I'm happy.

only 1 or 2 pieces are even worth using and the drop rates are so low its useless to try for it in my opinion. the group of about 10 people i play with i dont think any of us has gotten a single 1000 piece at all with each over 60 mes run each
