I have this gun, someone before me cut it down to 21" barrel with a radial muzzle break (About 24" total). It doesn't kick that much for the caliber, it is a great rifle that gives me an 1 - 1.5" groups at 100 yards. Awesome

Interesting you mention wearing ear protection and hunting when I was a kid my dad used to take US hunting all the time and we shot everything from Shotgun’s to high-powered rifles 3030 and we never wore hearing protection I guess it was just the way things were in those days
