Totally adorkable! Beckett's not entirely sure how to do the "Mom-thing" emotionally, but she's totally trying. Thank goodness her 'daughter' is one of the most level-headed, intelligent and genuinely nice teenager / young adults around - at least when she's not 'in the love haze.' And of course, anyone that's seen Hunt knows she pulls off a rather impressive Mama Bear.
I've watched this clip more than once, and hadn't noticed the fringe until I read your comment... when Beckett / Stana is on screen, she has all my attention - I rarely notice anything else.
i just think alexis is written sooo inconsistently these days, i can never even decide how i feel about her. and yeah, maybe part of that is typical teenager, up one minute down the next, but ... idk, i just feel like i can't stand her most of the time anymore. this scene was cute tho and i'm glad they showed kate and alexis' relationship progressing - they're never gonna have a regular stepmom and stepdaughter relationship, nor should they really, since alexis is an adult, but it's good to see them spend time together, and see kate trying to help her out. /endlongrant
Been wanting this scene to happen for so long. And it didn't disappoint. Great scene. Motherly Beckett
Awe a sweet mother and daughter time so sweet

Kalexis! Finally! I'd been waiting for a scene like this for so long, it was so worth it. So sweet, hands down my favorite scene in this episode.
Beckett is going to be a good mother to Alexis more of mother than Meredith
Girl you forgot to tell her that you love her too.....BIG family yeah and now for more kids so Alexis can have someone to take care of again
What's wrong with Alexis' fringe? That's all I was looking at; it's all wonky.

Why does she have bangs? She looks twelve!! Cute moment though.. #lovecastle
