- Solo camping & Mining trip at Ruby Mountain is something you’ll be glad you took time to go experience. Ruby Mountain has really clean camp sites for a small fee each night. Ruby Mountain was discovered in the late 1800’s. Over one hundred years people have been collecting Obsidians, Garnets, and even Yellow Topaz.
Some gems discovered at Ruby Mountain are Museum Quaility. The Perlite is a volcanic material that formed Obsidians that are Translucent. Grade A Deep Red Garnets can also be found in the Rhyolite, as well as Yellow Topaz.

Hey just wanted to say I'm glad to see you back brother we missed you!
Nice finally a new video!
Well it was wonderful to see you! I've missed you!!!!
My children and I always carry trash bags to pick up garbage before we even start our adventures. We have begun rock hounding for vacations. I told my son last summer that we should have gone caving where it's cool! Lol The grandchildren love the adventures!
GEMSTONES🤩 great adventure thanks for sharing see you on the next one 👍🏼👊🏼
It was really good to see you out there having a good time and collecting again, and enjoying yourself. I know you have been through hell this past year or so, but its time to move forward and put all that behind you. Live free, stay high, be happy and enjoy life!
So excited for you!!! You’re moving up!!
Great video! Awesome camp site.
Awesome trip!
Love the video! I would love to camp there. Camping and cooking on the fire is my thing. Oh and I love rocks! Keep it up!
It looks like you finding a lot of garnet

Great finds! Love the views from Ruby Mtn in CO. thank you for taking us along with you on your latest adventure👍
You at Ruby now getting ready to set up your tent
It was nice to meet you ! Great video!
Great to see you back. Colorado is beautiful. I got a chuckle of how you furnished your tent with all the necessities
Good to see you back
Awesome video! So good to see you again. It looks like you had a great time in Colorado.
I currently have a batch of the apache tears in my tumbler. Working on stage one. Will let you know how they turn out.
Not seen a video for a while, we are from uk and enjoy fossil hunting, so interesting what you find over there 😊
Lived in Buena Vista for several years. I miss Colorado
Looks like a lot of fun. This summer I'm taking my kids on their first rock hounding trip to the salt plains in Oklahoma, which was my first rock hounding experience when I was a kid
Glad to see you back at it! I’ll be buying one of your Ammonites off eBay next month.
Thank you for taking us camping and rock hunting! Loved the adventure
Good to see you!!!! Love the video!
Just amazing time out fam. Keep on having fun. Gold Squad Out!!!
Hi honey....That's a beautiful place 😍....Topaz is my birth stone....I'm so glad you are in Colorado....Mr. no driving fast silly....😆😎🙏
The hours I have spent on Ruby Mountain picking up Apache Tears and garnets probably add up to years now! It was one of my favorite places to just go think. You picked a good time to visit there because there are so many people in the summer. I hope your video gets all the likes as it should. Looking forward to future videos. Thanks for this one and helping with my home sickness💛💛
I have camped all over this country except for four states and I don't think I've ever seen a more beautiful Campground than the one you're in now
I'd take a box full of the broken up stones with the Apache tears in it.
Enjoying a nice orange soda (; I also enjoy a nice orange soda.
Nice video thank you
Jason can you pan or sluice the Arkansas at camp ground 🤔
Great video mate!
Aneurysms have greatly limited my outdoor activities so I vicariously enjoy your videos
Nice video, Jason! Will you be doing a video about you looking for gold while you were on your Colorado trip?
Oh, and I like my bacon crispy too. I'm not man enough to eat the jalapeños though. 🤣
I still haven't been to Ruby Mountain. Been through there a few times tho. Great video. I might have to plan for a weekend there next summer.
Crispy🥓👍
I had the biggest black widow I've seen in CO climb up my bed right beside my leg a few days ago. I was like, "Hey there little lady. I need a friend. Are you going to be my friend?" 😂 Actually, after the initial terror, I caught it in a can, and took it outside.
Great finds, and looking forward to seeing your Cache Creek adventure. I had a great time up there around 4th of July.
💫Stay safe💫
Ur awesome man!
Right on man. Great video! Have a nice day

Wow! What a gorgeous area🤩
Boooooom he’s back.
Beautiful
This was very informative. Thank you for another great adventure!
So happy you can enjoy new lands after being stuck in them holes in arkansas!!! man that was hard work there!!!
Thank you for this video! I am planning a trip to Ruby Mountain next month in June 💎 Stay safe 🙏🏻 Blessings!
In the early 90's an Indian couple did a smudge ( prayer ) over me and they gifted me a medicine bag with a beautiful Apache tear and I still own the bag and contents .
Love these videos! Keep them coming
I've been to that exact camp site! Love that area!
This was cool can't wait to go look
haha, you are like me ....wanting to take the big rocks home.
Just wanted to let you know I got my first tumble of the apache tears done. They turned out great. Beautiful and shinny. I would recommend skipping grit 1. The apache tears are a bit to soft for such a harsh grit. On my polish I had a aluminum oxide and cerium oxide so I did half and half. I have a bunch more to do getting another tumbler ready to start tonight. Thx for your content always enjoy watching them all. I do find my self partial to your Colorado visits, as I am a Colorado Native. Thx for the videos and safety meetings. Looking forward to your future content.
@@DiamondMinerIvins Anytime I can teach you how I do the process.
Cool I didn't know Colorado has gemstones man so cool. I subscribe to your show. I like your content. 👍✌️
Been there a few times !!! Fun😎
Brian is a man of few words
Your announcement to stay tuned for the upcoming Aquamarine hunting excursion the following day at the Thank You Lord Claim with mystery guest Brian Buzzy had me extremely hyped to see the one and only Brian Buzzy in action! Then when the video got to that point I was rewarded with only an image of Mr. Buzzy and no audio from him. Which only adds to the mystery of who Brian Buzzy really is.
had a chance to do a day trip at ruby mth, found enough in the wash coming down the side of the mtn. really nice area , families can enjoy , keep your kids on a leash though lol
use a smoke proof ashtray top to keep them from spilling out all the time... its like a little funnel that clicks on a mug top or cup top..
@@DiamondMinerIvins lol my grandma had one in her cup holder in that old ASTRO van back in the day... that would would good for more then her Marlboro light 100s.. hahaha
Watched entire ads, one was a 5 minute ad for a Texas band and their album was called titty bingo. Hope it paid well😅
And where have you been?
Been to Ruby Mountain to collect obsidian. Cool spot, there's obsidian everywhere.
@Diamond Miner Ivins Yeah I'm planning to go back and bag some when the wife isn't in such a hurry. I live in Monument, so it's an easy drive.
My bad, had a brain fart there
have you ever been to Mt Shasta
I have found many large beautiful ruby red garnets while mining the Arkansas river, try that as well sometime, visit the Rock doc store everone, great place, great vid
I lived in Buena Vista found topaz garnets an even aqua have fun
Honestly man I feel you haven't had the best of luck this year (much like me) but damn what you get to do just seems amazing
👍👍👍🖐
I read a little bit about YT and it says quantity over quality videos. I did notice that you're not putting out videos every day like you were. Maybe start posting very short videos every day again? See if that helps? We love you. The ladies want to keep seeing that sweet smile of yours!

Hope to win!
I know places near my ranch where you can find obsidian the size of boulders and car engines😂😂😂 my brothers house is not even a mile from mtn. Konocti which ia the reason for the large obsidian deposits everywhere there. Its a active vocanoe that hasnt erupted in a very long time. Also find huge geoodes and agates all over the washes there. When your picking up these apache tears i had no idea that they were obsidian since im used to cinder blocks and boulders of the shit lol never been into napping or trying tp make arrow heads but ahen my home burned down during a wild fire, i guess since i allowed fema to help they had something set up with the local indians that allowed them to come on to your property and snoop around as they bulldoze and clean up......well long story short the indian monitors were looking for ancestrial artifacts and saw obsidain laying everywhere because it blew up from the heat and exploded....i had a few large boulders near my deck and they thought they stumbled onto abn arrowhead area where their ancestors used to work...had to explain why and keep them moving since it seem all they wanted to do was slow the clean up with fema for personal gains on my land during an extremely hard time...
Are Apache tears snowflake obsidian, or are they two different types of obsidian?
What's the host rock?

Geology is Biology
WOW , just destroyed,, We'd go on that mtn as kids ,,, no camp grounds, rubys laying on the ground. Now its destroyed, it wasnt crumbled like that,,, humans are every where,,, silver on the other side of the mtn. locals would have never chiseled that mtn, what a shame
@@DiamondMinerIvins it was pristine cpl decades ago, those camp grounds and that mtn of ruble sand made out family from Buena vista so sad to see
we're reminiscing of Indians that lived along the river just a cpl decades ago in cabins that would put tee pees for tourist driving by and the tourist attractions Indians and gold panning sold ruby jewelry and ppl were NOT allowed all over that mtn destroying it.
@@DiamondMinerIvins looking at the mnt range from buena vista is a laying down indian at his feet is ruby mtn. Legend was to NEVER remove his jewels and the chief will feed you the rest of you life, My Indian side of the family elders just watched your vid and actually cried
Great video! (((Hugs)))
