Quite a process to try to clean the Tears ! Very interesting video. Hope your ankle is ok !
This is so interesting. I would love to try
Hope I win that would be cool
...never a dull moment!
From Google search: Step 1: Two tablespoons medium grit (150/220) per pound of rock and ceramics, enough water to cover the rocks. For tumbling whole Apache tears, run four or five days. ... Step 3: Two tablespoons of TXP or #61 Rapid Polish per pound of rock and ceramic, enough water to cover the rocks, tumble for seven days
Sorry you twisted your ankle. I have exactly the same kind of Danvers hikers as you LoL. The flowers and bighorns were awesome cool.
Oh man, be careful out there! You didn't say you had your safety meeting!
So glad you're still with us. Once I almost fell off the top of one of Nebraska sandhills searching in Loess Sediment for fossil shells
Oh no!! Sometime we need to look up, snd see where we are!! đ glad youâre okay
Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: That's part of my old haunts...I've cried those tears...still have some! Still have a couple of gemmy garnets in situ. Thank you for letting me revisit a beloved rockhounding and meditation spot.
Ok, you are a true Rock Hound!! Oww , oh look obsidian!! Ow, ow, oh another obsidian!!! Love it!!
Your a true rockhound when you fall, hurt yourself and keep looking for rocks. Love your videos so please be careful and stay hydrated.

Iâm a jewelry maker and I like working with Obsidian and other natural stones! Thanks for sharing. This was interesting
I would love to have them for my 9 grandchildren that love to follow pawpaw around rockhounding. Please stay safe my friend and I hope you have a blessed evening. Thank you for the videos.
I just started watching but your title says slipping off the mountains. I have learned a lot from you and really enjoy your content, be safe so I can continue to watch and follow you.
As one that suffers from anxiety and depression I sure could use those. I have no clue that some gems other that crystals help led with certain unseen illnesses. I Have Multiple Sclerosis and people just look at me my is she parking in handicap. If they only knew. You be careful out there. I was waiting for a rattler to show up. I just found the link for patrons. Last night. I will join next month.
Yes! Its amazing!
I have started collecting crystals for the same reason.... trying to learn how they can help.... let me know if they work for you or what you found that does! Just getting out has to be a big help and watching videos like this are inspiring ...
Right on! Glad I found your video!! This is my home!! My stomping grounds you could say! 30 years ago it was much differen. I'd be telling y'all kind of stories and history about the land. My mom you would take us picnicking, on Ruby mountain. This was before that house was built.... You could dig on that westside.... GOOD TIMES âïž STILL GO THERE TODAY!!!
I lived very close to there I Salida, but physically couldnât hike up far enough. Really miss rock hounding. I enjoy your videos so much , feels like I there!
True rock hound, picking up rocks as you set hurt.
Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: Me too! These wonderful CZcams rockhounds' videos helps me smell, taste, feel, and relive good times! đ
I just started learning about different rocks and find it so fascinating. Please keep your great finds coming!
Nice video...great finds!....Lol at 41:25 I started hearing a cricket. I kept pausing the video waiting to hear it chirp so I could find It and let it out the house.. It wouldn't so I'd un-pause the video and instantly hear it again. . Well, I laughed really hard at myself when after 3 times I finally realized its crickets in the video.
OM Goodness. I really need to get outdoors more often!
Gorgeous sky, steep mountains, a rock hound, what's not to like? Thanks for sharing your adventure Jason! âŁïž
Thats some cool footage. Now thats something that i could get into.
I am a rock lover and your videos are my adventures

Cool finding all these stones, gems etc lying on the ground. Thanks for sharing!
Went to Topaz Mtn in Utah in July '18 byself. Was 76 yrs old. Had no idea how/where to look. Didn't see another soul. Big tilted rock slabs coated with loose grit. Went up, but nearly didn't get down. Heat was... bad. Finally decided I was stupid and was leaving and saw a sparkle in the road. Stopped to see and it was a tiny topaz. Yea. Would like to go again, but not alone. Congrats on your Apache tears hunt. Glad you didn't roll down the mtn.
Another nice day out in Nature. Except for the slip. Thanks for the video.
1st I wanna say please stay safe my heart went and skipped a beat when I saw you fall thank God you're OK. I enjoyed watching you today on this video and the view through your Cameron's was gorgeous. I love also the cactus that bloomed the yellow flowers. Use your pick hammer-/pick-ax on construction workers belt, some pants have
a little loop on them too . Some people use
two of them at the same time to climb a steep mountain.

Bucket list destination.
I used to go here as a child., I donât know what happened to the Apache tears I collected (they may have been obsidian)
You sure are a lucky fella to be able to do what you do. Always enjoy your videos, good times.
I like watching you find those gems
Awesome adventure thank you for sharing.
Glad you are ok.
The garnets and obsidian nodules are cool, but the hidden area of almost neon pink tuff breccia on the north side was always my favorite.
Great looking finds. It would be awesome to own some of those. Very generous give away !
Love your videos. Hopefully I will get back to crater of Diamonds soon so I can use some of the information on your other videos. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
I am glad you did not die.
I'm ready to get those obsidians!
Might have to get climbing gear and tie off to a tree to get the best areas
Got loads of obsidian! Glad you didn't die!!
Outstanding video, thanks for sharing.
Great finds today Jason. I'm so happy that you didn't fall down there. I hope you and your family have a wonderful 4th of July.
Enjoyed your video. Learned a lot. Thank you for sharing
Canât stop laughing at your twisting your ankle đđđđđ
Haha, been a few decades and found some killer specimens of garnets. No topaz. Luck of the draw....more apache tears than I could count.
Looks like a beautifull day
Love watching ehat you find. I never heard of the stone you are collecting. Seem like dangerous work at times. Do u do this alone. I hope someone is with you. I would love to be entered into the drawing.
No Iâm always alone !! Iâm a rebel.
Thanks for watching
Always enjoy the adventures you go on. It seems like I'm right there with you. Really wish I was...some day mayby

Nice pieces of obsidian would make a nice ring wildflowers are nice to
Love your channel. Love the new knowledge learned
Awesome findings, We always enjoy your adventures!
Iâm going to try to make it there soon hopefully, that is if I make it to Colorado soon. Itâs been a year.
Never thought obsidians would be translucent.
mine look like smoky quartz . the were covered in a pearl-like concretion , Apache Tears
Awesome video! Keep digging on!
Wish I lived in the states. Best we get way down south is jade and gold. Americans are so lucky to have this at there back door
Cool finds. Lov the group of shells. Have you ever been to Obsidian dome north of Mammoth Lakes CA?
Awesome videos! Love watching other people dig up gems âșïž
I have samples of obsidian my father found in the mountains of California 70 years ago. They are not tiny like the ones you are finding but are about the size of a golf ball and very black and shiny inside. Any idea why the obsidian you are mining on Ruby Mountain are so small and mine are so much larger?
So glad you didnât slide all that way.
For the white film I think maybe try CLR calcium limescale rust works great on those
I Love watching you. Thank you.
You found some niceee minerals!! :O
Love your videos!!! Seriously awesome. Keep digging :)
Liked and sub.
Thanks a lot!
Ohhhh Nooo Brother!! Please stay safe! đđœ
