I will share a little experience when visiting Indonesia, surely you will not believe what I say.
I visited Indonesia for the first time, and even then, because I read a book about "Indonesia". At first I really did not believe what the book described. However, I was silenced by my own two eyes, one of which was like:
1). In 1 city or province in Indonesia there are many tourist attractions. That's just 1 city, not the whole of Indonesia. Too many very interesting things. In fact, each province has its own characteristics.
2). Tourist attractions in Indonesia are very unique and strange, even I had time to say that Indonesia is not real. Like in Indonesia there are pyramids, rivers like the Amazon, deserts, waterfalls on the beach, skull island, sand beaches along more than 1km, colorful lakes, wilderness, volcanoes by the sea, volcanoes under the sea, landscapes full of mountains and others are very unique.
3). Indonesia has a lot of volcanoes, lakes, rivers, beaches, waterfalls, caves, mountains, deserts, forests, zoos, food menus, languages, airports, football stadiums, train stations, old buildings, hot springs, hotels, malls, zoos, temples, parks, museums and etc.
When I told my friends about nature in Indonesia, they laughed at me and thought I was crazy. None of my friends believe what I tell about the experience in Indonesia, so I am called a person who has a lot of imagination. But over time, they finally believed.
I even think that the song "Within Temptation - Mother Earth" described nature in Indonesia (my personal opinion).
It was a very interesting experience that I have had, Indonesia has a very beautiful, unique, full color and strange nature.
Yeah, I agree, honestly even I myself as Indonesian don't travel much, I am from Garut (west Java), and they already had local tourist from
Volcanic mountain (gunung Guntur And Papandayan)
Volcanic lake (talaga bodas)
Beach (pantai Santoro)
Temple (Candi cangkuang)
Lake (situ bagendit and situ Cangkuang)
Jungle (Kamojang)
Animal reservation (bayombong)
Waterfal
And many Other place that I never been there, and yes is only in Garut

Pemerintah lokal berusaha keras untuk membuat bersih dan mendidik rakyat Indonesia untuk hidup bersih.
Tentu tidak bisa dikatakan sangat kotor, namun di kota, seperti di mall dan tempat wisata akan selalu terlihat bersih.
Namun apabila anda di pelosok atau di pasar tradisionil akan menemukan kotoran/sampah (garbage), namun setelah kegiatan akan selalu dibersihkan.
Bila anda membandingkan kota besar di negara maju dan kota besar di Indonesia, kebersihannya sedikit dibawah kota besar di negara maju.
Indonesia adala negara yang sedang maju (developed country), ada usaha besar untuk mensejajarkan kota besar di Indonesia dengan kota besar di negara maju.
Daya tarik Indonesia adalah alamnya (nature), karena terdiri dari banyak pulau, sehingga ada banyak gunung, pantai dan tradisi.
Indonesia adalah negara yang sangat beragam, susah untuk menjelaskan bagaimana keindahan Indonesia, karena tiap daerah punya keunikan sendiri-sendiri.
