      @@BauersLab The travel platform you designed for the hitch is pretty genius. I venture to say I would definitely purchase one if you sold them. Could be something you could sell on the side if you produced more. It inspires me to try and make one of my own. At at least try. 👍 Great video sir.

    I like your WRX! Recognized the model at 8:40 I've been toying with the idea to make a PSOC controller for the third brake light using a BSP75. I'll let you know once that's implemented on my WRX. Thanks for the great videos!

      Ha, nice. Definitely let me know how that goes.

    Hey I got the defiant with the dudek can you mag me detailed how you installed it I just did regular way tonight and it's way to low on my back can't really tell how you did it from your video

    • @BauersLab
      @BauersLab  Před 2 lety

      Well, i left that out on purpose because I'm not sure i want to take on the liability of telling people exactly how to do it. I will say, though, that i ran the aluminum bracket through sewn loops in the harness and then i cut off the straps that would normally wrap around a tube. You may not need to cut them, they were just in my way.

    Thanks for nice video
    Im gonna order gravity with 185 engine
    I was wondering what size and brand you recommend for wing?
    BTW I'm 180lbs and I'm beginner
    Thanks
    Sean!

      I'm really enjoying my ozone kona 2. I don't have a lot of experience with wings though.

    Where'd you learn to fly? How do you like the paramotor so far

    • @BauersLab
      @BauersLab  Před 2 lety

      I trained at aviator ppg in dunnellon. I'm really enjoying the motor. It is a bit heavy but i like how much i can customize it.

    Bauer, have you considered upgrading to the Helix 140 prop to maximize your Factory R?

    • @BauersLab
      @BauersLab  Před 2 lety

      I have actually. After thinking it through, i think I'll eventually upgrade to the 135 e-prop three blade. That way i still have good clearance.

  • @jimcr120
    @jimcr120 Před 2 lety +1

    Greetings. I also trained at Aviator and now have a Defiant but not with the ACS, not the Factory R (185 Plus), not the silver arms & spars (green), and though I was initially sold the SupAir harness I swapped it out for the roomier Air Comfort. I don’t think I miss the ACS but do prefer the silver look a lot over the green.
    One of my biggest concerns is the prop clearance at the lower spars but a profile view of yours looks like it has much more than mine (~2”) from prop tip to spar.
    Oh and I also fly a Kona but mine is a 1st Gen 29.
    Congratulations!

    • @BauersLab
      @BauersLab  Před 2 lety

      That is interesting about the clearance. Are you taking about axial clearance or radial clearance? I wonder if they changed it because i was hearing about trouble with props hitting the ground on butt landings. I have had my fair share of butt landings but no issues with the hoop or prop.

    • @jimcr120
      @jimcr120 Před 2 lety

      @@BauersLab I mean if I turned the prop to its closest point to the lower left spar, all it takes is about 2 inches of flex in the prop to make the tip touch the spar. I’ve had 2 but landings, both on long wet grass at the same field. The 1st time a spar mount screw broke and the net got nicked (I typically kill the engine right about when I’m touching down). I replaced both lower aluminum spar screws with stainless steel. I’ve also put in a prop spacer and removed the top 2 engine mount spacers to slightly change the angle (reducing the clearance at 12 o’clock slightly to increase clearances at 5 & 7 o’clock). I would have liked if their instructional video had shown a completed assembly from various angles.

    • @BauersLab
      @BauersLab  Před 2 lety

      Oh ok. I had one of those aluminum bolts break too and replaced it with stainless. That seems to be a needed change. I'm not able to flex my cage/prop enough to get them concerningly close.

    • @jimcr120
      @jimcr120 Před 2 lety

      @@BauersLab I did have a chat with Gravity and even though they’re incorporating these changes they downplayed the significance to
      me in the chat which seemed puzzling.
      Did you train in Lake Wales or Dunnellon? I trained in Lake Wales and have since started instructing there, still a newbie.Where are you now? I’m in NC.

    • @BauersLab
      @BauersLab  Před 2 lety

      Yeah I'm not sure that it was actually a big deal. I would almost be willing to fly it with that broken because it is held by do much other stuff and that wasn't really doing much. But i didn't because tend to be quite thorough about such things.

  • @ArionRaine
    @ArionRaine Před 2 lety

    You are wrong about the throttle cable keeper. it is not supposed to be crimped connection. You will be sorry if you use a crimp. Use the sleeve, sleeve spring and keeper as intended. Also, you did not need to cut the buckles off the Dudek harness.

    • @BauersLab
      @BauersLab  Před 2 lety

      Yes, that is what i ended up doing. Also, i agree with the buckles but they would be very bunched up back there where i would want to route my reserve lines.

      Lightweight for the power you get and easy to work on.
