The big names (Samsung, Xiaomi) have been led astray by making top-end tablets bigger and bigger. Y700 is probably the only one that still has size under 9 inch while packing top-end SoC in it.
I want like S21 or smaller size but still have same feature like s23 ultra... I don't really like big phone, same like Newest s9 and s8 ultra that's too big.

@@iwearLingerie the y700 2023 version is a snapdragon 8+. that's optimized for gaming. plus the refresh rate of ipad mini 6 is only at 60hz while the y700 is 120hz. so that's already a no brainer for me.
@@iwearLingerie well too bad, samsung tablets are not that exceptional. they're just good for media consumption and work. The only good in Sammy is their s23 series. Sure, the mini 6 might be the best at handling heavy games, no doubt, but that high refresh and high touch sampling rate really makes a difference. Not being a "shill", just my two cents from my POV and experience.
@@iwearLingerie I'm not a hater of apple, btw. I like their products. If only they had a version of mini 6 (hopefully a mini 7) that has higher refresh rate, then my search is over for a mini tablet that is the best for gaming. I'll be just saving up then to get one.

I hope Lenovo releases this in the USA. It checks all the boxes for what I want in a tablet and there's really no competition in this space that I can find.
I imported last year's version from Hong Kong. Yes, it's the Chinese version. But it has Google Play and does everything I need. There are maybe 3 or 4 Chinese apps that I just ignore. And it's by far faster than any other 8 inch tablet available in the USA.
@@villardj Hm, you're really tempting me! As well as the usual stuff, one of my main use cases for this is a bit niche (emulation in portrait mode with a physical controller), but yeah I can hide or ignore the Chinese apps that can't be uninstalled. I'll probably agonize over it a couple more days and just order it. I mean, the only other contender might be a new Samsung Galaxy Tab, but even the smallest one is bigger than I want and starts at 800 bucks. Absurd.
Oh, they just released the global version. It's the 2023 version with the snapdragon green 1, so faster than the one that I have. I'm thinking about upgrading since it's the global version.
Finally, someone that actually got their hands on the tablet. CZcams is full with videos made out of photos.
Big, BIG respect for at least mentioning rhythm games. I was currently looking for a good tablet for those kinds of games and it looks like I already found a perfect tablet for it.
The design makes so much sense to a gamer. Love the bypass charging feature most of all.
I have the 2022 Y700 and it is very nice for playing games and watching movies. The size is just right i can prop on table or hold it while in the sofa. I wish they have a sim or global version though.

its already 2 years im using it playing genshin, awesome coolling system, tablet not get so hot and no lag whatsoever.

Can't wait for the global launch to make it to the US, definitely going to pick this up. Looking for a tablet for my gf, but I don't think she can wait. iPad mini for her, and this one for me later. Rocking the Lenovo tab p11 right now. Primarily got it for watching movies and yt at work, but it also works well with Xbox remote play. Doesn't handle fortnite mobile and team fight tactics well. So I can't wait for this to be an overall upgrade for my media entertainment consumption, and handle gaming if I want to.

Wow no GPS no Cell service. They should have just made a laptop. What good is a tablet without these? I mean I like the tablet but what good is a tablet if it is not mobile?
I got mine yesterday. After deleting the pre-installed and installing a launcher and keyboard, it's actually really good. I just need a case and screen protector. A global version would help streamline some features and experiences I expect from the likes of samsung.
Hey, do you play MOBAS? I am aware the tablets cut a fair bit of screen real-estate off when playing Moba games but they installed a feature on this tablet that allows the player to see a good amount of screen?

@@sleepy1171it only supports a couple of Chinese games and league of legends mobile. You can use other 3rd party software to achieve that tho

I saw a review of the Lenovo extreme. Way too big for my needs but very powerful and 8 speakers is awesome. But this Lenovo Legion is right up to my wants and needs, but more compact. I don't see it on Amazon yet. I am thinking of buying this. Good review 👍🙂👏👏
The problem is no global version... There no option this kind of tablet in market.... Compact size with high end spec... All on the market only bigger size...compact size only midrange spec.. 🙄🙄

"China only" is a hyperbolic statement when it's so easy to import and install Google Play.
@@awesomeferret So no issues with OTA updates and the tablet will function as any normal one would ? I'm hearing mixed answers on that so I'd love to rule it out if they were to release a true global version.
CZcams deleted my comment and therefore my time. Sorry, not going to write it again. Someone else can answer. The tldr was that OTA updates are subjective, and there are some legitimate reasons these days to intentionally stay on older versions of Android (so that your device can literally have more functionality at the cost of slightly less security... What a strange world).

It's effectively sold worldwide. Import it. Too easy. I'm in the USA and the only difference was that it took a month to arrive. I got mine on Aliexpress.

The 2022 version very much can handle any games at highest graphic. If you onto more heavy games like switch emulator why not take the 2023 version if you can afford it.

I want one of these but the fact there's no "Global" version with 5G/LTE support kind of takes it off the table for me. I like the specs and I just want it to use Remote Play from my PS5 and do some light Android gaming. I'm a stock Android user. I'll get rid of the bloatware from Verizon and some of Google's stuff but I pretty much leave it as is and download all my games from Google Play Store. Has anyone bought this model and tried using it in the States? Can you just change the language to English and be off? Or is there some tinkering you have to do to get it to work?

English is available in the system languages. I also bought the non-global version and consider it fine to use all non-China-exclusive features so far.
And, in-app purchase on Google Play store also works fine on Lenovo's tablet (non-global version).
No need to root the system, nor need to do special cracking.
Most of AOSP features are supported at the Android system level that are not affected by highly customized ZUI.
Are you looking for some features that are really not available in the non-global version?

Sold mine, the previous version, because Disney+ is black screen. I hope this one will make it play smooth. Also, I have sometimes trouble reinstalling Google play. Maybe because it's china version. But I have no problems with other china brand before with installing google. So I don't know what was wrong with it.
Ooof. What did you do to your tablet? Is that an Android 12 thing? I kept mine on 11, and Disney+ works perfectly. 🤷♂️ Mine is the China version too. Edit: yup, it's either your fault or the fault of a firmware update. Just checked and it works perfectly.
