- Disclaimer: Downhill skateboarding is not safe to begin with, and Pantheon Longboards Company is not responsible for any element of your safety skating down hills. Or skating, period. Expect to fall. Expect to bleed. Skateboarding is pain. And it's also really, really fun.
Here we have Marcella pushing it down a tight and twisty road in Puerto Rico. She offered to provide some insight into her downhill experience here by providing captions that describe how she is managing her safety. All you can do is your best, and Marcella has a lead car with a radio to the follow car that is providing information about oncoming traffic. The follow car then gives her little beeps to let her know when a car is coming, and that tells her which corners she can full send vs which ones she needs to take a little more conservatively. Even taking corners conservatively can result in falls, and this is where her skill and experience come into play.
Big thanks to Spud for the follow car footage and to the whole crew (spotters and lead car) that helped Marcella navigate this awesome hill via skateboard, safe-ish-ly.

One day I'll do roads like that, it's so FUN
Downhill videos got me longboarding. But it’s soo scary. Right now I’m just happy cruising but I really wanna get good so I can feel the adrenaline of bombing hills
Nice skating Marcella! I really like the caption idea.
51 yo here, into LDP. There's no way I'm flexible enough to even recreate that stance. Even without moving! 😂
Yes you can. I’m 52. Aiming for this.
Good one, thanks for explaining!
