I just bought my first board from you a few months ago. When I ride, my front foot is nowhere near as far up as yours. I've got to get out there and try that to see if I like that placement better.
Awesome! Yes, try it! The closer to the trucks you are, the more control you’re going to have. Also, if you ever get wobbles, they originate from the back, so the more weight you have up front, the better, for when you start to go faster. Additionally, if you ever start pushing switch, you’ll need that space back there for your other foot!

They are a set of prototype 92mm Karmas.
This video could not have come at a better time! Having recently bought a Pranayama (and returning to skating) I've been riding incorrectly, so sloppy transition as you said and feet at 90 degrees leading me to stumble off in all sorts of funny and unpredictable ways. Moving forward I'll be putting your advice into practice. Thanks Jeff!
Very glad to hear it! I’ve seen a few posts on Reddit mentioning this and it seems to be a common problem especially with people coming back into skating from having taken a long break or from snowboarding. Glad you found it helpful!

Hey, Jeff. I have a nexus that I set up with McFlys, and it has totally changed riding for me. I just have a great time pushing around, but I can do a little bit of downhill and it’s not miserable to push uphill either. It’s been a great purchase!

Hey I'm a bit confused regarding the differences between the trip and pranayama. If rkp trucks are more turny, than how is the pranayama the one that ends up being the one with more agility? Is it just down to the board's configuration? like the pranayama can lean so much that it just ends up being more agile than trip even though the trip has rkps?
In a nutshell, the Pranayama has a smaller turning radius due to the TKP trucks. Imagine the difference between a bicycle, which has raked steering (the fork is angled like RKP trucks), and a pallet jack, which has 0 rake and forks perpendicular to the ground. The pallet jack turns sharper, but is less stable.

I feel ancient looking back at ly Evos with 200+ mm trucks. Nor that I ever rode one, I thought I was so cool with my 9,5 inch topmount and 170mm trucks. I haven't gone fast in ten years or so but the idea of getting on a board as long as a street deck and going 50mph or whatever seems absolutely crazy!
