Collisions at sea are a real risk and something we take seriously on Sailing Zephyr. Small power boats, sailboats and cargo ships are constantly on the move and it takes just a momentary lapse in concentration for your sailboat/home to sink to the bottom of the sea.
We have a very real moment on Zephyr that leaves us feeling grateful we were paying close attention in conditions (thick Fog) that were dangerous.

Night Vision Monocular - Have you considered having one? They are very affordable now, a good Bushnell is less than $300us. Great for when you pull into an Anchorage at night... And nice to have when looking out for pirates 🎉
