This Leather Wallet is HARD to Make!
This leather wallet design is a bit more difficult to make than usual! However when it's finished, it's beautiful and functional. Kayleena's third design features more of a unibody type pattern with an optional card slot in front for your credit card needs. You could also keep your cards in the large pouch created by the frog-leg-like wings that create the gussets of the wallet of course! This is Kayleena's third design and it's a very special one. If you decide to make one, we suggest using around 4oz leather with a bit of a soft temper :)
A "quarter inch, or Corter inch?" This is a unique and clever design. Well done.
Great design and love seeing the thought process behind the design!!
This is just what I’ve been looking for to make my mother a card holder that she would love. ❤️
Watched it, bought it, made it, love it! This might be the project that makes me finally buy a skiving knife, I started with a slightly thicker leather and the edges are definitely a bit bulky. Definitely want to make a few more of these.
Kudos to Kayleena, this looks great. Thank you.
Love the design and functionality of this
Makes me want to add this technique to bags as extra pockets or saddles
Thank you so much for showing the different steps in the design process! This video was super helpful :) She did great, such an awesome design!
Oh man! Perfect example of creating a good piece, from the first tries to the final (almost final) piece. Great job and great video, always learning from you. hehe. Thanks.
Brilliant design. I really enjoyed the closing comments about the design process.
This is so unique! Well done!
It's a really great design and as there is so much of the flesh side showing, you could add a lot more personality to them by adding a fabric liner as well.
I am going to try this! Thank you :)
I love it. You are great at explaining the steps. Thanks
I just wish you were as clear in the snap wallet as you were today! That wallet has lots of tricky points and you didn’t do exactly as the pattern says you should! I wish you’d make another video for that wallet! Thanks for today’s video!
This is genius. Just downloaded the Pattern. Now I´m thinking about adding something to put Bills/Banknotes in. Thanks.
Just bought the pattern this week-end and made the wallet for myself. I have to say it is the best design I've come across. It is compact AND it has a large coin/notes pouch. I really need a coin pouch here in France. I've searched for a design for an entire year but I gave up, and tried to design my own. Then I found yours (how did I miss it ???). Brilliant design !
Absolutely Beautiful!!! I will be making a lot of these!
This is an awsome piece ! Thanks for sharing your skills
Thank you for using a line 20 and not a segma! I don't have anything against segmas, but I only have line 20s and seeing this not be too bulky with that line 20 was helpful. Hearing the design process was cool and helpful too! 😋
Might I suggest showing the finished item at the start...easier to follow along if I see the item first....this is an issue with most utube videos I watch...I usually slide over and watch the final then go back. thanks
That's what I do as well!
I’m certain he showed the item at the beginning, I wouldn’t have watched otherwise
@@IMOO1896 you’re certainly wrong
@@alonzomatthew2376 - and you’re absolutely right. I must have had the thumbnail sealed in my brain.😃
utube videos??? CZcams videos, ya!
a simple and clean object that comes from a well thought out project. it's nice to see these things. congratulations and thanks for sharing it !!
Great design! Hats off! 👍
Love it. Got the pattern. Will give it a shot, for sure.
This is a well designed wallet....nicely done young lady.
Cool design, great tutorial! Thanks!

Great video , really inspiring me to get my leather craft started
Love it!!!
Great video tutorial as usual..Thank you..
Muy práctico hermoso
Thanks for the good idea, I will try to do this.
Great design, nice little piece
Very beautiful design! When I will be better in leather products I'll try it for sure!
One of the most unexpectedly gratifying parts of leatherwork? EDGE BEVELING. Lol So satisfying. Love this design, Kayleena!
Well done , thanks for sharing
Very cool!
Beautiful design. And once again your camera work and your video editing skills are on par with your leather working skills. A perfect trifecta! I did miss the money shot, though...inserting your infamous Blockbuster card into the card slot.
This is very similar to a traditional design in Sweden. Nowadays they are less easy to find so my husband had two custom made for him when we lived in New Zealand. Now I can make him one. Thanks!
Thats a slick little pouch. !!! Purchased. Im gonna try it out . Thanks
So cool! Gonna have to try it out 😁
Nice design...definitely try to make it..
he has such a soothing voice I could fall a sleep to it😂
Sounds like an older dream a lil bit
YES !!! REALLY Great Lesson for us.
Thank you so much.
We'll try to make it in Indonesia.
Super cool, looks like it's definitely worth the effort!
Good info & instruction, thanks.
Still got plenty of 3oz, so I might have to try this one.
Muy bueno es genial
Excellent work, Kayleena! I like that the computer wasn't used to design this piece!
Wow, I love cool and unique design patterns, this is an instant purchase!
I don't even know what to use it for or whom to give it to, but I know I need it! :P
Well done buddy 👍 I just into leather crafting. Your vids have help quite a bit. Thanks man
It's beautiful Corter & the design is genius. You and Kayleena did a fabulous job 🤗💜. Like others have said l too enjoyed seeing the prototypes 😊. Have a nice weekend.
Wow so beautiful 🔝🔝
I loved the design and I bought the pattern. Thanks.
20:39 "...gonna bring this curve way up..." or, alternatively, bring it down to a point forming a heart shape which is clearly seen at 21:25.
The “a-ha” moment. Love the design
smart design
Love the leather since then and the design is awesome!...hope i can have one😊
Greetings from Philippines🇵🇭
Great design
Im gonna make a larger version of this! Thanks for this videoooo!!!
Bravo !!🎉
OLD LEATHER SMITH here, excellent Eric, nice simple design, GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃
A tricky design, i love it💚 Pattern is bought 😉
Wow...GREAT...🙏Thanks 🙏 for this fantastic IDEA... WISH I could do this and post it here like FB...
It seems that Hermes Calvi card holder is very useful, practical and spacious, it would be a great success if you could make it with the exact measurements and the same thickness and type of leather, do you dare, your work is very professional and your channel is fantastic.
Oo woww....👌👌👍❤
I have watched a lot of your videos, and never see a blade tip snap. What kind of blades are you using, and how often do you change out your blades?
Thank you for this tutorial. Is contact cement the main glue that you use in leather working? I've often wondered which glue you're using since I've never been able to read the container.
like it but you could get a better coin stopper if you put the last snap in between, and rather than decrease the leather near snap increase it, and do a box stitch to join those two tabs.
It's an Origami wallet. Very nice design.
Love this but can’t find the link to the pattern
Ok we need to see you make nice wrist watch leather straps PLEASE!! I want a new strap for my watch and my god I'll buy it form you in a heartbeat!!!!
Is there a pattern for the first piece in the design? I just purchased several patterns, very nice by the way, but I didn’t see that little coin purse. Please give a link to where the pattern came from 😍
I want to make this so bad.
Can you use a chrome xl leather to make this?
...oh, and, do you make all your products by hand or do you normally use a sewing machine?
Can you please show how to make a leather (alligator) duffle bag. Been waiting for that video release. Keep up the great work!!
Could you share the patten in Pdf format scale 1:1 ? Tks
Hello, i have a question. What do you mean by 3/4 Oz? Is it the weight or the thickness?
Are you patterns still available at Weaver ? Please IF yes share a link .
4:10 does anyone know where to buy that knife?
There's a link on the description 😊
I brought this, but I think its too small?
Could you please make a cell phone case? It seem so obvious but I haven't seen anyone make one from leather.
we've made a couple! just search the channel :)
@@Corter I went through them and you haven't really made one. What I mean is one of those cases that have fine stitching and a magnetic cover flap. You know, those that allow you to put the phone sideways on a table to watch a video. They are usually made of poor quality leather and I wish to make one myself.
I plan to take apart my current one and re-use the RFID blocking sheets. I just need to use quite thin leather for it.
Am I the first comment?

You guy should try and make a wallet out of a baseball glove.
Very nice work, but the pdf patterns should be a courtesy not to charge for them.
Greetings.

I tagged you in a cool post on Instagram where I make a laser cut version of this pouch (I cut everything with the laser even the holes) @perform4nce_design
