    Little brother to the Scott Ransom eRide - last year’s eMTB Shootout winner - the Scott Patron eRide 900 is a decidedly more futuristic and feature packed eMountain Bike. Scott Sports are known for their integration, beautiful and attention grabbing bicycles, and the Patron eRide 900 is a great example. Packing 160mm of front and rear wheel travel, a hidden, custom-tuned rear shock, a stealthily tight motor package, integrated lights and clean cable integration, the Patron eRide is likely the most unique and attention grabbing eBike in our test. Will the stealthy looks, unique features and relatively competitive value be enough to keep Scott’s Patron as high on our score sheet as last year’s Ransom? Let’s find out.

    i don't get why people don't like twin lock. If you don't like it, u can choose not to use it, but personally i like and use 33% lock very often when climbing, and full in cities. I found it as nice option. I have patron 920 since one month and i love this bike, it give me so much joy from riding that i didn't have since high school and i am now 31.

    I have a 900 Patron ultimate and it’s a beast. Much lighter than the other models and with much better equipment. Excellent climber and very effective on enduro tracks as well. It’s not a 100% gravity bike, more like a do it all bike. It’s my fifth e bike and I love it.

      Nice! Yeah the Patron is on my short list. I've ridden a Scott Spark for the past 10+ years and it's my go to bike. I'm considering an E for my "rest" days but I kinda want something with a little more travel and a little more capable than my Spark but can still pedal all day on my long weekend rides On paper the Patron seems to check all the boxes for me.

    I love your reviews. Wondering if y'all can add just a general trail riding review for more "trail" category bikes like this one and the Marin Rift Zone. On paper these two bikes look perfect for someone like myself. I'm a XC rider that does all day rides with climbing, singletrack and road on most of my routes. Most of your reviews are more on the downhill, Enduro and bike park type of riding it seems. In looking for an E for my "recovery" days but I'd like something that has a little more travel than my daily 120mm bike.

    I an new in MTB at over 60 and i ride 920 Patron. Not even a month and already passed 150 km of trail riding on it. I think Scott never intended making a enduro bike with it, neither a soft trail bike, but rather a Go anywhere you want with it. Glad you reffered to it as Batman because I also own a MT-10 and it is a Dark side symbol as well.

      @Twentykixx Před rokem +1

      @@jogyselinck535 I agree with you here. I absolutely love the twinlock for all around mountain biking here in the PNW. Once you have it, you cannot live without it basically. I tell my friends, remember when touchscreens were new and everyone was saying it’s not needed. Nowadays, it’s practically a must. You really don’t know what you’re missing once you start getting comfortable with it and then it’s second nature and such a companion on long rides. However, I have a Bullit as my e-bike for the gnarly DH stuff. 🤭 I can tell you that none of the bikes in this year’s review touch it, absolutely killer bike!

    • @Twentykixx
      @Twentykixx Před rokem +1

      @@LastAphelion sure, my experience on the Bullit have been ridiculous! I’m an avid PNW rider, so Galbraith, Tiger Mountain, Squamish, and Whistler are in my wheelhouse. Full send Black Diamonds are no problem, at around DBL BLK, I go to the Gambler. As far as an everyday bike, I use it for commuting to work as much as possible. I placed an X2 with a climb switch and left the performance fork to adjust the stiffness, and voila, she’s a wonderful commuter bike. All trails, all day, the EP8 let’s me tune my levels, so I use the setting depending on my needs. For commuting, set max on boost 95%, for Trail 70%, for ECO 20%, I challenge the ECO to compensate for the full weight of bike, not rider… bike is 48lbs, I’m 200lbs, so roughly 250, so 20% is the bike weight. If you want a bike for everything, I cannot see a better rig, unless DH is you regular gig. Hope this helps. I’m stoked it’s in my garage and fully customized! 🤌🏼
