You know who isn't, well not to my knowledge, in the EMTB motor industry? The German giant, ZF. Could you imagine ZF producing an EMTB integrated motor/gear box and partnering with Haibike?

Also don't think they can deliver huge numbers for now. But Bombardier is now in and thinks may change quickly.

damn .... what about the sensational Pinion MGU System ? A fantastic system and I my opinion a gamechanging technologie, if the childhood deseases (german saying) are properly taged, a killer for derailleur systems like Sram or shimano

Yeah, SIMPLON Rapcon Pmax Pinion for the win, or the Bulls Vuca EVO AM 1 2024 to 'only' pay 7.5k€....

@@Exuberator I don`t think Pinion will be exclusive with MGUs for long. The BMZ group just bought NOX Cycles and is already owner of former Sachs Micromobility ... together with ZF Frierichshafen ... i`d assume this Mobility Group will rule the MGU market soon. I am already waiting for the next NOX innovation with a powerfull Sachs/BMZ MGU.
That will at least take 2-3 years of development and Testing. Sure the Race is on...since Pinion showed that it is possible!😉
Hope TQ starts releasing some higher power stuff. The HPR50 is incredible with how natural it feels on my Fuel EXe, but definitely on the lower power side.
Thank you for your work on this. Holy smokes there are a lot of choices out there. I'm going to ride my 2019 Giant Trance e+1 on 27.5's and 2.8" Michelins into the ground... Hope there will be a Pinion in the USA by then. I'll pay the exuberant amount, because these eMTB's give me so much happiness (and I'm old). Keep up the good work, get on a Pinion e-powered drivetrain bike soon for a review.
The Pinion MGU System was a notable admission in this lineup. It has to be a game changer for the future of EMTB's going forward. Just makes sense and is technology matched for the power output that these bikes now have. Rather than a lame adaptation of existing technology and engineering.
100%. just hope the the big companys come on board rather than push the idea out the picture.
My next bike will an MGU eMTB (2019 Specialized Turbo Levo currently). Many of the big manufacturers already have them for commuter bikes. I hope we see the major players at least announcing this year (Specialized Turbo Levo Gen4?!)

In the early stages of looking for an E mountain bike. Since I’m 6’-7” tall (200 cm) and 250 lbs (114 kg) I think my selection pool will be quite small. Also very limited dealers in my area. Any suggestions for make/model for tall/larger riders? Maybe you have video I haven’t stumbled on yet. Any wisdom would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

still using 1st generation yamaha motor and 1st generation bosch motor on my mountain bikes and still enjoy them very much .so id take the current yamaha or bosch systems on my new bike
Release a program only for ebike forks including the new DVO 38mm and bos suspension 38mm
No point getting a new bike now until gearboxes get incorporated. Unless you are an elite rider you wont notice anything worth changing for

My Spectral ON will do me for a good while, love it. Not that it matters, but some of Canyon's colors and colorways, are just not real aggressive or neat looking. I went for black rather than aqua marine. Black isnt my favorite.

Right the elephant in the room question. Which motor is more reliable, on full powered e-bikes. Has data been compiled on factory or shop returns for a new motor. All my mates have e-bikes, and we all have our motors replaced within 9 month.

"heavy, expensive, bulky, expensive" A big e motor, belted to a gearbox, is a tricky thing to package, its coming though!
Yes, a little bit on the heavier side. But the full powered 720 Ah Bulls, with 2.6 29er, FOX 38, built for 150Kg system weight - is about 24,6 Kg. There are Bosch Bikes around that weighs the same or even more.
It’s a shame that Yamaha is always and only associated to giant… what about haibike? Gasgas? Fantic? Rraymon?

Canyon Spectral On CF-8 has been amazing and trouble free for 1200 miles and only $4700....I can't imagine paying 14K for an EMTB?! Why? They will all DIE before you get your monies worth at those prices.....

Lots of technology advances but still no integrated gearbox models?? This is what e-mtbers are waiting for. I don't need a 12 speed external drivechain that only lasts 1000 miles and has a big ass derailleur hanging out to smash onto a rock.

Still Spesh Levo is one (if not THE) the best ebike.
Except the slashed their prices making all our used Levo’s worthless and they have Lots of Warranty Issues that they fight you on…. My motor was going iut for a month, Big S denied the warranty twice saying it was still “working”. I had to ride it till it was useless and I hated the bike before they finally covered it. Then it took a week for the motor. Last warranty for Battery to Motor cable they took 2 weeks to get shop the part and then didn’t cover Labor so it cost me $100! Frame has mild cracks in it that are growing, Big S says they are only surface cracks and won’t cover till the cracks show movement or it breaks!
@@leroywilliams7210 wow...crazy, my belt was stripped from teeth after ~3500km (10 months), new motor in 2 weeks. Now SRAM has the same motor, maybe they'll improve it ? only Bosch seems to be better, BUT only motor, at least year ago all bikes (with Bosch) had shitty geos and shitty remotes, even now, most of the bosch bikes have shitty integration and remotes, what a shame. That's why I think Specilized did the best job.
@@razorree Just got bike back from warranty on motor to battery cable (took over 2 weeks). Specialized didn’t cover all the labor so I had to pay. Good job big S! Well 5 rides later and my motor loses power after it warms up again. That’s how it started last time. So shops like it feels fine and I’m like go climb a big hill and then you’ll see. So it’s in for warranty again….
I think Bosch and Shimano are the least problematic but shimano makes less power.

Recently purchased a haibike nduro freeride with yamaha absolute banger of a shuttle bike,id ho as far to say i go faster on it dh than my current dh bike.and amazing value for money magura.ohlins,mx deemax wheels 💰
