Iam a Indian Christian. I have a word to say about Hinduism. In hinduism there is not a word of salvation.. It's all based on good deeds in this life. If yourdeeds are not uptothe standards ofGods, then you take a rebirth as a monkey or a donkey . Now after beingborn as donkey, how can a donkey dogood deeds that are appreciat ed by Godin order to attain abetter life form. This cycle of rebirth has no end, which looked too absurd for me. Then I found a chance for a sinner to save himself, by repentance and acceptance Jesus as personal saviour. Thats why I converted to Christianity and now I sure, that salvation through jesus Christ, is a gift of God.

I completely agree with Pastor Thomas, if we truly believe in Jesus, the sadness of death is greatly different if we know that person is saved. I have a hard time being terribly sad when a Believer dies because I am overjoyed for them. And I'm deeply troubled every time a non-Believer dies because I know they are lost forever. Eternally lost in sin is the most dreadful thing imaginable. Thank you for such an encouraging message for our times. Maranatha!

The trouble with Christians is they are void quality control.
Everyone in his right mind understands God is a tool of fiction. What quality-controls do you have when Theologians grant doctorates to each other based on literally, nothing whatsoever?. Trust but verify. Gods have a perfect record of doing nothing. That is why we say, God helps those helping themselves.

Dr. Luke wrote in Acts 13:48 to as many as were appointed to eternal life believed he didn't say two as many as believe were appointed to eternal life he could have easily said it that way but he didn't you have to be elected by God or appointed by God to eternal life and then you will believe Titus 3:5 talks about regeneration and yes we know that man is responsible to stop rejecting the son of God and believe in to repent but we know also know that faith is a gift repentance is a gift Grace is a gift and it includes all those things belief is a gift Jesus said no man can come to me except the father in draw him

Job just wanted to know what he did wrong, not all that other stuff. God loved what Job said because he was a man who was perfect and upright as God said more than once. When Job was shown a whole new side of God in their discourse, he loved God even more. God was not berating Job; He was rewarding him. The evil forces received a fatal blow to their assertion that men always act out of greedy self-interest, because Job showed otherwise.

@@stephengorman1025 it is good news and is freely offered to all. However, it is a fragrance of life to the elect but a fragrance of death to those who are perishing. 2 Cor 2:15-17. The same Sun makes green things grow, but destroys everything else.
1Tim 2v3-6, 2Peter 3v9, Rom 11v32, Colossians 1v15-20, Rom 5v12-21, Phillipians 2v9-11. It really is good news for all, the church are the first fruits (James 1v18) of what God will do for all people. If you are interested in a more in depth scriptural study I would recommend The Evangelical Universalist by Gregory Mcdonald and Her Gates will never be Shut by Brad Jersak.

Can you imagine if the second coming was 100 years from now? Scoffers will surely question the lack of a second coming if it takes that much more time! Problem is, that's about how long it's going to take according to the best interpretation I've seen. Most of the scoffing I have seen is toward those like me who think the second coming is 100 years from now because so many are proclaiming the immenant return of the Son of Man. I guess in order to get youtube hits, you got to put out a video about how we are just about to be raptured away or something like that.
It’s not 100 years if you understand the parable of the fig tree. Israel becoming a nation again was incredibly significant to prophecy.

The USA, the number 2 eagle head, must fall before the third eagle head takes over. Look at the news headlines about the waning influence of the US.

I think a pet is a wonderful gift from God - to help the farmer, befriend the lonely, protect children, help the blind and deaf, search and rescue the injured ... if a pet becomes an idol, that is just Satan once more spoiling and tarnishing one of God's gifts. Do you know why pastors do not want you to listen to the audio bible on your e devices? They want to control your inputs and thereby make you dependent. Matthew 23:13
A pastor is a God ordained church leadership role. The word pastor means “shepherd.” It emphasizes caring for and feeding the flock. I’ve never heard any pastor say they don’t want people to listen to the audio Bible - that’d be the equivalent of telling people to not read the Bible. That wouldn’t be caring for the flock.

Well, actually, No. Many Christians have wrongfully jumped over their responsibilities clearly displayed by the Savior in All Four Gospels, and the Book of Acts, to be a successful Apostolic people of Signs, Wonders, and Miracles. But instead, they want to avoid those given responsibilities of moving in any successful Gift of the Holy Spirit, and instead they want to have their various interpretations, by jumping to the Book of Revelations so they can get their Get-Off-The-Earth-FREE Card because they need to imagine Jesus must be returning to rescue them. And if the accuracy of history is any indications, once again, with all due respect, the same way well-intentioned others, were so very wrong over hundreds, even thousands of years, and, amazing as it must sound, those of the current era, are completely wrong once again.
This is not the God of the Bible. Calvinism is a cancer in the church, and a horrible lie against our God and Savior who truly does want ALL to be saved and not perish. Please repent of this ungodly doctrine. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. FOR GOD

I suggest reading St Athanasius book 'On the Incarnation' which is free on the Internet or from Amazon.

I live in Columbia SC and attend 1st Presbyterian Church ARP there. Derek Thomas is the pastor. The church ordains women as deacons in direct contradiction to the qualification that a deacon must be the husband of one wife.

Why does Calvinist believe in repentance but only certain people will be saved? Isn’t that a form of judgement on their part? Can’t any person receive Jesus Christ as their savior, be reborn and repent? Change of mind can be as simple as changing the mind of belief. Our behavior or walk in Christ after we have received Christ is the baby steps we take when reborn and grow closer to Christ. I’m very confused on why Calvinist focus on the elect rather than encourage others to receive Christ. Yes, God knows everything and he knows whom will be saved and who will not. But if he is patient as you say, he is patient for some to repent? Don’t get me wrong, I never question the creator of the universe and us humans for his purpose but I question why certain teachers of the doctrine don’t breach the sinners prayer to lead them to salvation or the Great Commission commanded to us Christian’s which is to spread the gospel and teach or lead ppl to Christ. The patience of Christ may be that he’s waiting for just that, the great commission. My point, you not I can or never will know whom is predestined until we followers approach that persons heart by any means necessary. Tv, phone, in person, etc… Why the focus on elect as if you are the chosen elect? I have watched many of these videos and get confused on your intentions to lead any person that needs to be to Christ. Who is the author of confusion? Should I be confused or should your message be simple? I feel you are discouraging men and women to repent because the seed you are planting is the seed of doubt. I doubt I am predestined because of the sin I had in my life?? Hmmm! But only God knows if I was predestined to repent. The elect only matters to God. The elect in the Bible refers to those left behind after the rapture that were predestined to stay behind, change their mind and spread the message of anti christ existence and that he is not Jesus. The elect 144,000 Jews. I’ve read about the elect and that is the only doctrine that discusses the elect after the rapture. If you’re stand is that we are in the days of the elect then the rapture would have taken place already, correct. I don’t know why Calvinist believe and stress mainly on the elect but I do believe their theology is incorrect. Salvation is a gift, it’s simple and made available to all that they may not perish. It’s not up to us to determine whom the predestined are, it’s up to us to begin the great commission and share the straight gospel of Jesus Christ our savior from eternal damnation. At first site when I was watching your teaching, I thought finally sound doctrine, which I believe you do for the most part but you are not keeping the main thing the main thing! I do doubt that some of the very wealthy false teachers on msm are not using the sinners prayer in correct context but I am deeply concerned that you are not using the sinners prayer to lead ppl to Christ. Why aren’t you? Answer that very simple question to change my mind about your teaching. Salvation is simple and a sinners prayer leads to a reborn soul. That’s how I learned that I was predestined and to this day I believe that the sinners prayer sealed the Holy Spirit in my heart for eternity. It can never be taken away. If it could it would be like Jesus saying, oh, I just wanted to tease you and bounce in and out of your heart! Blasphemy! Once a person speaks to Jesus Christ and humbly admits he is a sinner and believes Jesus is the son of God in the flesh whom was sent to this earth to give us hope and shed his blood on Calvary to wash away my sins. The atonement for my sins. I will always by imperfect and be a sinner saved by the grace of God. I just hope ppl don’t get discouraged by your teaching and lose hope or their faith. Faith is a substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not yet seen. I have faith and assurance based on the living word of God… the KJV Bible doctrine. The holy spirit that lives within me is much stronger than the spirit of your doubt. Amen!
2 Timothy ch 2 would be a good read to help with your comment. Great concern an most people don’t understand or come to the LORD because they don’t understand. God may or not tarry for the sake of that one single last person God know when that will happen.

@@Hakuuna_Matatah good question. Do the research. Evidently only the elect will be saved according to this belief. I biblically researched the elect and it’s not what Calvinist are claiming. The elect is the 144,000 left behind after the rapture.

Two of mankind’s greatest sins are self-centeredness and lack of humility. It’s something we are all guilty of to varying degrees. When you are seeking God you must recognize your place before God. We are egregiously sinful people. We don’t make demands of God nor grow frustrated when we can’t figure Him out. What we do is continually go to Him in humble, respectful prayer, pleading for mercy and forgiveness, asking that He would open our ears to the truth of His word, soften our hardened hearts to accept what we hear, and loosen our stiff necks to do as He says. It is unlikely that you will hear from God in a way that you are anticipating. You may ask for a specific solution to your problem whereas God’s answer may be something much larger and broader.
John 6:65-69 “Then Jesus said, “This is why I told you that no one can come to Me unless the Father has granted it to him.” From that time on many of His disciples turned back and no longer walked with Him. So Jesus asked the Twelve, “Do you want to leave too?” Simon Peter replied, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life. We believe and know that You are the Holy One of God.”

The dark "gospel" of Calvinism. God created some(elect) to save and the majority, to judge and torture forever in order to "display His Glory" while the "few" spend their eternity rejoicing (if they can) as they behold the suffering of the rest, including their dearest. Lifts you does it not? Not me, The True Good News is far brighter than that. Not sure how many minutes this post will survive but , anyway.

I have heard Calvinists try to defend every word of my "imitation". As to the "brighter" news of Christ's Gospel, we have 3 choices of what to believe about God. 1. He can save all but does not want to. 2. He wants to save all but can't. 3. He both wants to and is ultimately able to. Longer conversation than one sentence replies.

May I just say to preachers…. Please don’t say “I’ve been assigned to preach on…” The listener doesn’t need to know that. It makes it sound like you are there doing a dispassionate job at the behest of a organization. It just doesn’t sound good. I love Ligonier - sorry to be critical.
