    Hahaha sorry the footage is so off center at times - it’s harder than you’d imagine vlogging with your eyes closed! You’d think I’d be used to the position of the camera by now though😂

      For the Q&A: Is it dangerous to do an eyelash perm? Have they ever got the perm solution in your eye?
      On a side note, thanks for the video! I have been thinking about doing an eyelash perm since my eyelashes curl down instead of up and they end up poking my eye a lot.

      Would you consider getting another cat, or would it be difficult financially or because of traveling for work? I apologize if that's to personal.
      Since moving back to Japan what are the new things that you discovered you like to do or what are things you used to do and started doing them again?
      Lol have you ever been to Alaska. Only asking because that is where I am from.

    Hello Sharla, Q&A: I want to know which Salon do you recommend to do hair in Japan? because I always love how they tint and style yours

    For Q&A ::
    What brought you to Japan in the first place? If work, what do you do? Are there any traditions that you knew nothing about prior to moving there that you still think are... *different*?

    I have a question for the Q&A: would you recommend taking young children to japan? Or what age do you think would be a good age to take them? Currently have a 3 year old but trying to decide whether it's worth waiting until he's old enough to appreciate it

    • @lethyguaimare
      @lethyguaimare Před 4 lety +12

      I would wait till the child gets older, no point taking him now and won't remember a thing later on in my opinion

      We were thinking about 8/10 but I'm still not 100% sure if he'll really enjoy it at that age either. I don't have any family or friends who have been to japan either so I'm clueless 😂

      I lived in Japan a year so I can give my two sense. Your child at 3 will barely remember the trip. It is going to cost y'all a good chunk of change to go as well. With having a child that will get tired going to shrines, crowded trains, not understanding the language etc. Also, having an irretable child causes everyone and their mother to look your way and make it awkward. I highly highly recommend waiting until your child is older so they can appreciate how much you truly spent on that trip. And so you can enjoy it as a family.

      @@TerraOblivion27 thank you, you don't by any chance have an age recommendation for me? Or would you say it depends person to person?

      @@chloecrafts9869 anytime. I would say 8 and higher would be pretty good. They have a concept of what's going on, you guys can introduce them to sushi and other Japanese foods ahead of time, they may be in to some Japanese anime or culture or history making them have a field day. To be honest, 10 and up would be ideal, 8 and up would be fine

    I haven't had real eyelashes since 1979 and wear very dramatic fake ones. If I went in for an eyelash perm they'd probably melt off my eyelids. But I'm happy that you have naturally beautiful eyelashes, Sharla. Enjoy them! You'll miss them when they're gone...

    I’m a new subscriber. I’m still watching as many old videos as I can. Love your channel. My youngest spent 4 days in Kofu with a host family and 3 days in Tokyo at a hostel, 6 years ago (age 14 then) with a school group. My question: as a foreigner was it difficult finding places that speak English? Is Google Translate widely used there? With the school group they had a schedule with almost every minute planned. They had a pretty sheltered visit.

    Question from a newbie to your channel, can you recap on How/Why you moved to Japan, when and how fluent were you when you first got there? Really enjoying everything I've watched so far and getting great ideas/tips for my own content, so thanks and credit will be given when I poach any ideas! x

    Q&A Question: I recently (october) got my CTEFL certificate, and I'm trying to get a job in Japan. but I don't seem to interview well. I can get the interviews, but I don't seem to be landing the job. do you have any advice on how to impress an interviewer for a Japanese teaching position? I've done Disney English (China), PKC, Aeon, and have submitted to JET. my Japanese language skill is definitely in the "Room For Improvement" Category.
