  • In this episode from Restoration Diy I make an Intersecting Patterned Bowl with a Segmented Rim an interesting project which was filmed over 6 days for a couple of hours each time, the inspiration for the pattern came from a project I did last year, I had a couple of small problems to solve as I went along but the results look great and I thoroughly enjoyed doing it, Follow along through every stage from start to finish, Subscribe if you haven't already a thumbs up will be great and comments are always welcome.🙂

I really love this bowl. It is a really beautiful design. At first, I thought you were drawing daVinci's Vitruvian man with all of the lines and intersections. I do have a question. Why do you use that black for repairs? Does it come in wood colors? It sometimes takes away from the rich, golden colors of the wood.

Its really cool how straight lines turn into intersecting arches when you carve it out. The bowl has such a nice golden color, epic work here. Is a bit unfortunate that it has some black blemishes. But probably the best option for the tear out. Work with what is given to you.
