Best video I've seen so far on this topic. The technique for clipping in with breaks, giving it a push, and getting on the saddle was crucial for me given that I've gotten used to starting with the wrong foot. Thank you!
Reading this after falling like a dead tree about 3 times! After watching the video and learning the tips I can finally say I know what I’ve been doing wrong :) thank you!
great video about clipping in and out, although its been proven on many videos (search clipless v flat) that clipless DO NOT make you faster. So ride flats if you feel more comfortable and safe.
Got my first clip-less pedals after I joined a club. No one really coached me on how to use them. I was just given a 2 min crash course by one of the guys. After a long ride with the same club one day, at the end of the ride, we stop. I unclip my left (lead foot) and forget to unclip the right. We chat, I try to get off my bike and I remember that I did not unclip the right, it was too late! Bang on the ground. 😂 Bruised my right knee. The second time: I am from a ride one evening, approaching the gate of my house, I press open the gate/garage remote to open the gate and the garage. Gate opens. Garage does not open. I was too far for the garage to pick up the signal from the remote control. I press to open the garage the second time, it opens, slowly. Now too close to a slowly opening garage, with both feet still clipped in, i remember that I did not unclip. With the garage half-opened, realising that I should stop suddenly, both feet still clipped in, still moving at moderate speed, inexperienced in unclipping quickly, I squeeze the brakes and try to unclip quickly, too late. Bang on the ground! I sprain the middle finger of my right hand, which is still healing 😂 There are a number of other stories I can share. Think these will be enough 😅😅😅
Ugh, I'm so sorry, but it really means you need to take an hour 1 day and - push off, clip in, coast, clip out, and stop, repeat, repeat, repeat. Always use the same leg to push off and land on- DON'T switch that leg because your brain gets confused. Get some knee guards- and practice practice @@Downdotloader . You got this!!!

Best instructional video on CZcams on clip-less pedals -- thank you!
Wow, thanks!
The most effective way to master it is to do it wrong so that you hit the deck. Once understand the pain of failure, you’ll always succeed.
I'm hoping to help people avoid the fall we have all had!!!! That which does not kill us makes us stronger!
Bruises are the best teacher 😂😂😂😂

I can relate to this comment
Not necessarily! 😢

Great video! Thank you
Glad you liked it!
If I was learning this I’d be wearing long sleeves and pants!
ha ha- if you take your time that won't be needed but good prevention just in case!!!

Thank you very much for the info. I am used to them now, alas, a few falls and several near-misses later 😂😂
Well.. I am here right after falling off my bike from trying clip-less for the first time 😅
I was today years old when I learned about the existance of these pedals.
WHY the loud irrelevant music?😗
I agree, my Microphone didn't pick up as I turned away from the camera!- I got better mic's since then! but thanks for the feedback!
video is made by an total idiot. camera work totally sucks.
Music way too loud.
Lose the music. We can’t hear what you’re saying. And it’s annoying.
