10 Most Painful Scenes To Film In Euphoria
Vložit
- čas přidán 7. 06. 2024
- Euphoria is a tough but amazing watch - and the filming experience for the actors behind the scenes was pretty similar! Whether it was rough emotional scenes that needed to be done, improvised scenes with no hold barred, or complex technical challenges - this team faced it all and they pulled off some amazing feats.
The Carnival scene is one that threw many of the Euphoria fam through the wringer. It looks like one continuous shot, but the trick is - the whole sequence was filmed over six days! This made for long days for the actors who also happened to have to deal with not-so-great weather conditions. One actor actually wound up needing an inhaler just to get through!
Improvising intense scenes means intense emotions might totally overtake an actor! One of the most powerful scenes in the whole series was made up on the spot and really shook everyone involved. Even director Sam Levinson had to walk away and take a breather before continuing with work. Does anyone remember watching Sydney Sweeney in the bathroom? Her moving performance sold the scene, but she wasn’t doing much acting - the actress was really shaken by the end of it.
Jacob Elordi is tough as nails on the show, but in reality, he believes his character is just struggling a lot - and he absolutely is! Elordi is far from the mean character he portrays, which makes being cruel to his co-stars extra tough, really taking a toll on the performer. As for the fights he takes part in? Well, let’s just say duking it out with Few was far from comfortable.
No matter what they had to overcome or how hard it may have been to film some of these moments, in the end, pretty well everyone agrees it was all worth it to tell the story. They’ve got us hooked!

Which scene was the most painful one for YOU to watch 😓?!
When Jules gets you know... Railed?..
@@floodovleermuis 💀💀💀
Season two episode 5 first 10 minutes or so
nate pointing the gun at maddy from last episode
When Ru struggles with her withdrawls and cant open that candywrap
Hardest scene to watch was definitely Nate’s dad pinning Nate down on the floor while he was screaming at the top of his lungs and hitting himself
That scene hurt to watch. I truly felt so sorry for Nate in that moment
For me it was this one and also the one where McKay get’s humiliated by the other students
@@inesbaba6361 I agree! And also the one where Nate beats up Tyler and "Open the door" one with Rue and Fez. All of these scenes I watched through fingers because I literally couldn't bring myself to look at this shit, sounds already were more than enough
@@argentums8410 oh yess those ones also hurts to watch, it makes me so sad especially for the one where Rue was screaming at Fezco for not opening the door, it show how much drug had bad consequences…
Definitely emotional 🖤
They forgot the scene where Jacob gave himself a concussion in season 1 with knocking his head against the ground while fighting with Cal.
He gave himself a concussion??
@@grace.holcombb yes, in an interview he said that by the end of the scene his head was bleeding a bit, and when he went to check his head, it turned out that he had a concussion
They said the top 10-
@@em0_jbesties-780 they weren’t lying tho
@@macharrom1425 oh my goodness
These painful scenes are the best scenes from the best movies.
😢
only the best of the best for the best
I thought I was the only one who noticed it
I think that Zendaya is probably one of the strongest people out there. She has to play this character who is going through so much, and it's almost as if she's going through all of it herself as well
I want to say the actor playing nate and the actress playing Cassie are doing the same though?
@@jessc7228 no I completely agree. They have to play such difficult parts, I mean really all of them do in this show. I just think they are all honestly so strong
I mean I’m pretty sure she’s summing up bottled emotions about being a child star and she prove did go through something similar than her character
and when she first took the role, she was worried that it would ruin her career bc there was no buffer between disney and euphoria
Hell naw I can't be an actor. How do they have the energy for this.
The most intense scenes were definitely when Nate's dad was holding him on the ground while Nate was screaming, and the time McKay got SA'd
Damn, he really did get SAd. Wasn't Cassie there when it happened?
@@lilybelle568 yeh she was?
When did that happen I don't remember
@kiara I read up on it and he technically didn't get SA'd, just assulted. Sam Levinson set it up as hazing but the camera angle made it look much worse that what really happened. It was season 1 when Cassie went to stay with him for the weekend. They were having seggs and the frat bros busted in the room pulled him off the bed and started to "play hump" him. He went to the bathroom and broke down after.
i forgot that happened
I gotta say, I’ve watched loads of movies and tv in my lifetime, and as of recently, the acting in this series is some of the best I’ve seen around.
Episode 5 of season 2 was the HARDEST to watch so far. Zendaya did an AMAZING work.
And Sydney and Jacob and the rest of the cast
totally agree
When Nate held the gun to his head to terrify maddy into giving him the disc. That part messed me up.
It's sad for Maddy's character. He knew she wouldn't give it to him even with a gun to her head but he knew she would if he held it to his. He knew her lover for him was stronger than the love she had for herself.
I actually had to stop watching bc I started having an anxiety attack😭
I honestly think that SA scene with McKay in season 1 could be pretty hard to film, props to Algee Smith.
What is sa?
@@elizabethrivera3563 sexual harrasment, he was raped by a group of guys
@@kay-jo2vf sexual harrasment and sexual ASSAULT are not the same thing.. he was assaulted
@@kay-jo2vf wait when was this?? (which episode)
@@whowhat_where Season 1 Episode 6
Jacob definitely had a tough time during this but i think he shows a brave face. bless him
Episode 5 was the most painful and intense
Just commented this! I’m glad Rue got on Jules ass tho
when nate was banging his head and when mckay got assaulted by those pther people freaked me out
this is why it's always hard to remember that this is a whole SHOW cause the actors really give it their alllllll
s2 ep5 was CRAZY. Zendaya is an amazing actor
she deserves an emmy for that episode
the scene where rue and her mom were fighting in s2 ep5 was so intense
For me personally, the scene with Jules' backstory was the most painful to watch, but that's just probably just because it resonates with my personal experiences (especially the SH and mental institution parts)
so many scenes were hard to watch, easy to say. the actors have strong hearts
The best characters for me it'z Cassie and Rue because of the acting. These girls are working really hard
thats fight scene between rue and leslie got me sobbing so bad...actually, i always start crying whenever they fight ....
Same!
Just binged this series, and WOW! It is hard to watch but even harder to look away. Major props to these young actors for their performances 👏👏👏
I love euphoria so much, amazing vid, much love🖤🖤🖤
How do you miss the one from Season 1 where Elordi got a concussion?
Exactly what i was thinking!
Wait rlly??
What scene was that?
@@starlitexo This is a scene where Cal pins Nate down and Nate starts hitting his head on the floor
Probably to force people to comment to point it out
More comments = more engagement
Cause seriously how could anyone who watched it forget that scene lol
These actors and the crew are simply amazing
Love your videos I've been a fan of the things since I was a lil kid
❤️❤️
I'm in my mid-thirties and I am weirdly addicted to this show
No one asked
@@ninajohn5506 don't be rude no one asked for your comment either
@@ninajohn5506 no one told you to comment
@@ninajohn5506 no one asked you to be dumb in public either yet here we are.
The scene where Nate’s dad pinned Nate to the ground in the first season. Nate was crying then starts to bang his head on the ground. Nate’s dad gets off looking horrified while his son continues. That scene looked intense to film.
All the actors in season 2 ep 5 did an amazing job collectively to make a very messy episode with a lot of drama but not too much to where it was overwhelming this show is truly a masterpiece and the directors are phenomenal
After watching this show I absolutely love zendaya. She is an amazing actress
Javon also said in an interview that when Ashtray was repeatedly hitting Cal with the gun he would joke around saying that he feels concussed but he actually thinks he meant it..so I’d say that was a pretty intense scene to!
i completely forgot jacob's actor was australian lol i was caught off guard with the accent
Best series ever!❤️
I was beyond devastated when Tyler was unmercifully BEAT up in his own home by Nate
Remember guys.. all of these emotions are subjective. We all have our own version of pain just based on these characters. That’s why this show is so unique 💕
Best channel ever
Can’t wait to watch :)
After watching the scene over a few times, I don’t think that the scene in McKay’s dorm room was meant to be taken as an actual rape scene. It looked more like the frat brothers were holding him down & pantomiming sodomizing him. IMO, one of the main reasons that made it so difficult to watch was the element of surprise. The scene came with completely unexpected suddenness. They busted in on Cassie & him with absolutely no warning during what minutes before had been a private loving moment, turning it into this horrible violent situation. It was that shocking flip from one end of the emotional spectrum to the other that did it. Plus, the fact that it was happening to McKay, who from the beginning of the show had been portrayed as a likable, kind, respectful guy also packed an extra punch.
The scene where Fez didn’t open the door. “You did this to me” S1
Damn wish they did this after episode 5
is it just me or like everytime rue fights with her mom its so sad.
the scene where rue literally throws stuff around, knock shit over and even puts a whole in the wall and everything.. she ended up getting hurt because of her putting a hole in a wall. i feel like that was a tough one to do.
The bathroom scene was the hardest
The painful part was the best part and I hope they’re ok.
Wow I love hunter . She’s amazing
Fez whooped 👏🏾 Nate’s 👏🏾 _ASS_
I haven’t watched euphoria, but my best friend has and she said to be emotionally and mentally prepared before bcs it messes that stuff up for you so m kinda scared to watch ngl
it is indeed harsh, a lot of subjects could trigger anxiety so be careful!
Tonight’s episode is the most hard thing to watch
Last nights episode was a good one
when you get a euphoria ad on a euphoria video 😂
Where do you get these videos and information? It’s amazing
🤓
TW.
When I first watched Euphoria, the scene of Rue overdosing and laying in her puke with Gia finding her wasn’t as hard to watch till rewatching it in 2021. 2020, I overdosed on my sleeping meds taking 23-25 pills of each pill being 600mg. I could’ve died if I didn’t get help. This has traumatized me and my family, hospital workers. The pills were already in my system so they couldn’t pump my stomach or give me liquid charcoal. I had a breathing machine and IVs running through my system since I was so dehydrated as I slept it off. So watching that scene, I can’t rewatch anymore. I always cry and have ptsd. On top of this I’m also a recovering addict. I relate very much to Rues character considering I started using from ages of 16-20yrs old.
Rest in power to everyone who’s passed away or is still suffering with addiction.
I’m proud of you for staying clean and I’m sorry you went through that❤️
Having lived a part of my life pretty much identical to “Rue’s”, though it was in my latest teens/early twenties and I lost my fiancé not my father…I think Zendaya did an outstanding job capturing the true day to day life of an addict and finding themselves the craziest, violent, and potentially frightening situations that come up at any given moment when you’re immersed in that world. I’ve watched the series over and still cannot rewatch episode 5 of season 2, it’s so real it literally pulled those feelings right back up to the surface it made me sick. HBO and the show both managed to put every warning out there about language, nudity, sexual content, violence, even light sensitivity…but absolutely no warning for drugs. Just goes to show that even putting on an intense show like this, is still just a show to people, and there’s still that stigma there. I found that to be a shame. Honestly I started watching the show because everybody was talking about how amazing the fashion, hair and makeup looks were, and they did a great job with that too. But how superficially most people look at this show…is just crazy to me.🤷🏻♀️
It's overwhelming that their mental health and body is disregarded for the sake of entertainment, views and ratings....it's too high of a price to pay
Awesome woman to me 🥰🥰🥰🥰💕
i mean, the whole episode one of season two " trying to get to heaven..." is totally terrifying from beginning to end -
A non stop of violence and crazy situations that would make pale even the best horror / drama directors
it can really be a shock for a young teenager to watch something like that - is very hard
but so many scenes were hard and kind of painful to watch - also that dark atmophere - perfect job and crazy stuff
S3 pleaseeee
Sydney Sweeny🤗
WTF ARE THESE SPAM BOTS LMAO
I feel so bad for the 😭
Same it’s so 😭
I would love to see how much everyone got paid because it doesn't seem good on their health
The festival episode was a masterpiece
Toughest scene, which they didn't even mention was in season 1 when McKay gets assaulted in his room
Episode 5 of season 2 was lit man.. zendaya did a mind blowing work
I seriously cant rank the painful scenes but, for me, the BEST scene was that fight between Fez and Nate. Nate deserved all of that shit!! and more.
No lie tho I forget Jacob the dude that plays Nate is Australian so every time I hear his accent it’s throws me off so much.
Why are the comments full of bots
What episode is the bathroom scene? Can someone please let me know thanks☺️
Y Am I watching you on two devices lol
I need y'all do to episode 8 season 2 now
that was HELLA funny YALL also lemme tell u somethin dont blame cass she got hardcore daddy issues and sadly i relate to her about some stuff
Matthew 3:2
Everything I hear about filming Euphoria sounds likes an abusive toxic ex
Is everyone forget about the scene with Cassie, mekhi and the frat guys in not playing when I say I actually had to run to the bathroom to puke
I’d say McKay
pov watched this after the 5 episode on season 2
Unfortually I think that after the serie end the actors are going to say that was a horrible experience. Includding Z. Specially her.
shes literally one of the producers what ?
@@valeryrodriguez5749 because of the big emotions that she felt acting. She already told that on interviews honey.
Hiiii
Hard to watch scenes for me:
When the woman was sitting on cal's face and Kat's video caller with his teenie weenie
Remember God loves you♥️
John 3:16

NATE IS AUSTRALIAN?!!?! IT SOUNDED LIKE IT

It’s crazy what actors go through 🥲
what was tough to watch was fezco beating the shit out of nate

"Literally 99% wont see this but, Who ever sees this have a good day and stay safe" ❤️.
Have a cookie 🍪.
nothing tops breaking bad’s level of acting
I wonder why they didn't include covid in this season, like shameless with their last szn, but its nice not seeing people with masks on for once & thinking about life before it
I think the last thing people wanna see more of is covid tbh
this season takes place in the same academic year as the last season in 2019 where covid wasn’t a thing so it would really make sense? and would probably just be annoying to write in lol
You guys were really reaching for straws here. The part where they watch back the footage wasn’t even a scene, just filler
ldk what to comment
What about the scene with Laurie in the bathtub
wait nate’s british ?!?!?

I haven't watched the series but does rue die in the series?
no, but it's astounding that she doesn't.
How awful Nate is such a horrible damaged person. All his scenes are hard to watch
Hi
