I find myself coming back to this run consistently time after time. One of my favourite GDQ runs.
I was wondering which of the half dozen or so GDQ DS3 runs I should watch and picked this one bcuz of your comment. glad I did

Plus there's so many tutorials, it really holds your hand through most of the game
Its supposedly the hardest modern game around. I say hardest 'modern' cause most people consider "Contra Hard Corps" on sega genesis to this day to be the hardest game of all time. This guy makes it look easy but believe me you will probably be cursing at the TV a few times before you beat the game. That Dragon Boss, I saw a guy die 36 times trying to beat on twitch and this guy did it like it was nothing. Speed runners usually tend to beat the games 100's of times
Couch commentary was fantastic, runner personality and commentary was great. Great fun to watch!
I love how Cole barely stopped smiling at any point of this run.
I just saw on the leaderboards that COLTrane got the world record a couple of days ago on 1h 16m 54s. That is real nice!

You know you gotta have a real gamer in the hotseat when they've memorised the stats for what their character looks like and each character is made of like 50 numbers between 0 and 255.

You know, I wasn't too sure about this run.....and then I saw her face.
Now I'm a believer....that this run was going to be a trip from the start
the pure joy on his face at 1:16:40 when he does that impressive vine skip is so damn wholesome.
I died to the dancer about 500 times. And then I watch him walking through the spin attack. OK.... Instantly mindblown.
i swear i almost threw my pc outside becasue of that boss AND pontiff. Also, side note: The first time i fought yorm i didnt know about the sword....
That boss kicked my ass, but Pontiff was kind of a let down. Beat him on my first try.
man i have to say that Dancer of the valley and Pontiff were so easy to me. Buuuut in my first gameplay i died like 10 times to ludex gundyr
@@rainestar6781 I never even realised pontiff was a boss because everything in this area looks similiar and is annoying asf and i was busy talking to my cousin and just mauled through him on autopilot and there are people everywhere talking like hes the actual main challenge of DS3 ._.

Tremendous respect and admiration for all Soulsborne speed runners. I love watching them all, regardless of strategies or skips.
Here half to enjoy the run, half to enjoy the sight of people stuck together without the worry of covering their faces.

loved the run but the prize guy at the end stole the show for me, went to make a coffee once the run was done and come back to this legend

Man the commentary is gold with this run.
Small lore correction: Lorian did not become crippled after fighting the Demon Prince. The dude is so gut that really only his sword was harmed. However, he became like you see him in the game after he decided to support Lothric’s decision to not link the fire and somehow “shared his curse”. It’s not exactly clear what happened, but for sure they share one soul among them. Maybe it was some final push from the royal family to make Lothric into someone capable of linking the fire, thus they fused his soul with his brother’s, making both of them crippled, but enough to be the Lord of Cinder.
Omg I loved the character creation :) Princess Fiona rocks! The run was also really good :)

Ok, but can we talk about the balls of walking into the Nameless Kings attack at 1:42:45 while chugging drank, having him miss by inches, thenending the animation in time to dodge the second hit and go in for the kill? That actually made my eyes pop out like an old school cartoon character.
Never played before but after watching. I bought it. Seems like a good time
Finally beat the game after discovering the Dark Souls series through GDQ. Now coming back to see how much I sucked through these 64 hours of gameplay.

As someone who has always wanted to finish Dark Souls 3, this was inspirational.

This is the first DS game i ever finished. Watching him burst him through is bringing back every memory i had at once lol... so many deaths...

yup, never seen it before. Especially not in the most famous boss from the first game. Nope, never seen it. Demon prices was the first, totally.

Flex tape can fix ANYTHING. Just spray it on and let it dry. If it's not fixed, put on another coat!

Without tumblebuff they aren't all that OP as they are in this run, still solid weapon choice but I personally prefer a Greatsword

3:32 Bruh! That is not an "L" it is a capital "i". Iudex means "judge" and gund is "battle". He is the "Judge of Ash Gundyr" in the japanese version. It's literally just a test battle for the ashen one.

However, the day was beautiful, and he knew Fiona would want him to enjoy the light she had fought to her last breathe to save. He glanced at the sunset, and let the flower fall to the ground.
"What's wrong, daddy?" the little ogre said to her father, clutching his shirt. It was clear to Shrek that she could feel the quiet melancholy that had filled the room.
"Ah, oh, nothin' chield. Just thanking aboot yar muthar. Say, do you wanna hear a story?"
Gael must be pissed. A green ogre just came in with no armor and punched him to death.

I think he only uses it in specific moments to set up some of the tougher skips.
