#1 didn't stuff it. That boat throws water forward and up. Captain did a good job. He was cleaning up the crumbs from lunch

Anytime water comes over the bow it's a loss.
These boats are at a disadvantage in this series because they're designed to cut through a wave. Kind of like this example. The hull did its job, but it still ended up with a deck rinse.
The big yacht is an Astonda - a Spanish brand. They should have brought in the cushions.

SeaRay did have an issue with that rear compartment. He actually did have the compartment open before they were up and on plane. The compartment was down as he is in the trough. The last shot brought the compartment open. Boats won, but have to pick on you how else would you know I watch your content 😅
I'd call the second yacht a loss:having to catch a Sealy certa mattress doing 30 mph has to be a BIG loss.

As soon as I heard "Grand Banks," I knew it was over for Haulover. You really can't drive that boat wrong.

Isn’t the Grand Banks a displacement hull? If so it can’t get up on a plane

@svkoleseredavesara3544 no, it's the V warp (semi-displacement) hull designed by Mark Richard's, now CEO of Grand Banks, when he was at Palm Beach yachts, who Grand Banks bought out in 2014/15 to keep them from going under and got their hull design. Although Grand Banks has the look of classic Grand Banks of the past, it's anything but. It's a state of the art hull design. That's the GB60 flybridge. A newer design.
Going to argue with boat #1 - he didn't fully stuff, the bow never went under!
I'm the captain in the 1st round. We skilled captains do that on purpose to rinse the boat down.

I never have felt the design on the first boat was good at all for ocean going . You might go out on a calm day that turns bad and have to deal with its limitations!

Watch the Boat Zones where they cover Capbreton Inlet in France. They are every inch as bad as the Americans. So no the life jacket thing is not particular to America.
