Plus the bouncers were all unlicensed back then so most had a criminal record. Back then it was Ecstasy and house and garage. Now it's all champagne, Charlie and being self conscious. I don't envy the youth of today.

@@Reachland02 Find a hobby: Board games, literature club, theather, dancing, painting, playing an instrument, don't know... whatever you like and instead of looking for videos on how to do it, look for a social club or some course where you actually have to attend and interact with another people.
Yes, it will be really hard for you, since you will be leaving your confort zone... but doing an activity that you enjoy will soften the punch; and if you actually are interested about it and learn about it, you will have a topic of conversation where you feel confortable to talk to other people.
Eventually, you will tak to a girl and it will feel natural, because you are not talking to a girl to get into her pants, but instead you are talking to her because it's a topic that you enjoy and you want to share your opinion, and if she is into it, she will also have an opinion and you will discuss about it. Eventually you may get to know to each other and perhaps something will happen... or perhaps she will become your friend and later you will get to know more people ¿Who knows?
Just leave your confort zone... it sucks, but it will pay in the long term.
PS: I used to be a bit of an introvert, but when I was 18 the extrovert that adopted me forced me to do theather with him and it was great.

Absolute perfection, the writing, the narration, the acting and facial expressions. I laughed tears and at the same time became painfully aware of the fact that we are just another animal, the only difference is, we have electronic music. The moment that is gone, this is like any other animal mating documentary, just with the males having less skills (compare: Bower bird etc)

This reminded me one of those major holiday, i.e. Christmas day. The 24/7 gym i went to had no music and people were listening to their own music doing their thing and I forgotten my earphones that day. This is good. Haha. When I was a bartender I saw this go down SOOO many times. Turns out behind the bar is the best place to be :) And the other thing I noticed is that nightclubs are intentionally set up to distort reality... low lighting, alcohol, and loud music. No real communication can occur and that's the point. It makes it much easier to believe you're getting what you want, when you're actually not.

But that's coincidence/correlation, not intentional to help people hook up. That's not their business, they don't get extra money when it works. They do, however, make most money by selling drinks and getting blasted by loud music is the main attraction of a club, at least for most women. Low light is needed to make light show work which enhance the dance experience and drug fuelled impressions. Okay, maybe having extra low lights is done on purpose to hide several things but even then I think masking how dirty the place is and making everyone more comfortable dancing are way up the priority long before "make sure hook up attempts have higher chances of happy endings".
Was a bouncer, and yeah, I have to agree that being staff at a club is the best option. Watch the pain from a distance.
