Thank you! thanks to you, my family can now take hot showers!!!
Awesome tutorial, I have been trying to figure out how to remove this handle without any external screws. This was so simple and took me 3 minutes to fix it!
Amazing thanks!!! We just moved in and have one of these in the bedroom shower and the temp was no higher than 95 cold degrees!! Appreciate it
Yea that wouldn’t be good. Glad the video helped. Thanks for watching .
You can thank the trial lawyers for this used horse food. My valve was put together with blue loctite, making it very difficult to remove the handle screw. Plumbing code? Sure I could have twisted harder, but I know about how hard you can twist a certain size screw w/o breaking something. The solution is a 1/4” impact drill driver with a #2 Phillips bit..carefully! No one wants to burn someone, but when you can’t get anything more than a cold shower, the safety Sallys need to be opposed. Never trade freedom for safety.
Thank you so much, friend of a friend installed the shower valve, but its been not quite lukewarm since we have finished installing sjower panels, handle and shower head. On the 3rd try, i got it exactly right.
I thought i was going to have to take the wall apart to figure it out.
Glad it helped and you got it sorted out.
This is my exact faucet thank you!

You're welcome!
Gracias 🙂
Hope it helped you out. Thanks.
I’ve adjusted to the hottest setting and temped the 3 faucets in my home with a temperature of only 104f. I have a temp valve on top of my water heater set to hottest setting and temp valve on the water heater itself set to the hottest setting. Do I need a new water heater?
I can’t answer if you need another water heater. If it is an electric you might have one of the heating elements that are bad. They can be replaced, but you will need a plumber to check it out and make that repair.
Did u shut the water completely off? Screw is out but handle won’t budge
I did not turn off the water supply, but if you have a stuck valve and will be putting excessive forces on it to get the stuck handle off, then shut the water off just in case something happens.
Mine is exactly same handle, but my handle wouldn't come off. Screw came out, but handle feels stuck
Hope you can work it off without breaking something.
I got the cap off. Unscrewed the screw, but the handle is stuck on. Does the water need to be cut before I remove it?
Well yes the water needs to be off.
@@FixItDepot Ok, thanks! Two faucets in the house are sort of setup to where I can remove handles without having to shut off the water line to it, so I wasn’t sure about this one.
I am recommending to turn it off because I don’t know enough details. Better to be safe.
Gently tap different parts of the handle with a rubber mallet. Use liquid wrench penetrating oil liberally (it also removes hard water deposits). Be *gentle* and very patient. You will get it off.
