I have found that if you are interested in a particular watch, you have to almost check prices daily, regardless of a sale. Sometimes you can catch the price at it’s absolute lowest.
True. I was after PD1662 pearl movement version. Usually its £50 but was on sale for 3 days at £27
I didn’t order anything during this sale. In the last few AE sales I’ve ended up ordering a lot of watches that I never wore or liked enough. It’s best to order when you really like a watch irrespective of whether sale is on or not.

We all know it's mostly just 'marketing' but you have to take into account the discount codes/coupons which are usually only available during 'sales'.
I wonder how much human intervention there is in setting prices. My guess is that they fluctuate within set parameters by an algorithm.
I was looking for the DUKA DK-V2150 during the sale. The price jumped back and forth, from 39 to 49 Euro. Now I bought it yesterday, after the sale, for 36 Euro 🤗. I have been annoyed by this phenomenon for a long time, so I now always buy AFTER the sale. It works.

You do really have to put them in your cart and see how they fluctuate in and out of sales.. You can as ive done in the past paid more in a sale then see it discounted afterwards...Good review to bring up Wes great review.

Well the aliexpress coupons are where the real sale is. Example picking that cronos. that was $170 for me on cronos page minus the $45 cronos coupon and $12 aliexpress coupon. Then minus the coins would have gotten me that for just over $100. During non sale times it is just a few dollars more. You really have to take advantage of ali and store coupons to get the best deal no matter if it is a sale or not.

So according to my feeling, it is better to buy something just at the end of the sales, cause in the first days you will get exactly the same price or sometimes even higher than usual.
For ex, I bought yesterday Mini Focus Bullhead for 11$. Usually, as you know, it costs about 15-16$.
Also sometimes it is much cheaper if you take the goods from SuperDeals at the non-sales time, than from Sales.

Virtually every watch recommended by reviewers with really sharp prices and posted watches at big discounts will not ship to Canada. Meanwhile they will ship to USA a mere 90 kms away from my home. Pisses me off.
Same situation for me. I would have bought a dozen things by now if they would ship to Canada.

Definitly check prices before the Sale when it Shows the expected Sale price. If you can get even lower with Coupons, you should be good. If not - don't panic buy..with many cheaper watches there won't be much of a deal except for coindeals where you could get lucky..
I don't know how they do it with the price of some of their watches you can't even build the watch for what they charge for a complete one.
The two watches I was looking at before and after the sales the first watch was an Addy's dive it was originally $70 before the sale then 75 dollars during the sale now it is $90 I also looked at the baltany S20 49 which was 240 dollars before the sale then it went to $200 during the sale now back to 2:40 after the sale which was a nice 20% off
I had a $16 watch in my cart and went back to buy it and it was $500+! As were all their other models. Scammers!

Noticed that the item you are looking at is cheaper (watches) outside of a sale due to the price usually fluctuating between an 'early bird deal' or just generally being marked down perpetually. Them Chinese man and their marketing, it's effective at striking the dopamine and fear of missing out.
Inexpensive 'Yazole' business watch I was looking at: Retail $15, Sale $6.40, Early bird deal $3.95. Dang

Are you not accounting for coupons during the sales? The coupons are what gets you the biggest discounts, they're offered by aliexpress, so it can be an extra 12-30 dollars off. On top of coins knocking off a few extra dollars. As well as any store coupons they offer. I got upwards of 60 dollars off a watch by combining all these discounts, as I've been tracking the prices for months since it came out waiting for a sale to capitalize on all the stackable discounts. The sales are good if you know what's actually on sale and use the coupons in combination with all the other discounts available.
I kept discounts out of the discussion. For those who "are in the know" are not everyone.

Ali Express do play these games unfortunately, but at least the price differences are small. Compared to the big brands like AP etc... who have been doubling or even tripling the prices of their already overpriced watches.
This 24’ choice sale hype was my 1st dip into the AE world o watches and buying at a ‘real’ bargain/value. I noticed price fluctuations with the watches I was keen on moving around day to day and between different listings when scrolling. I have dealt with china for years and you have to be on your toes. They are very crafty. Might think you are getting a deal but same brands will use lower quality production shop, material and component swap to trick the novice. Have to stay on your toes and read descriptions carefully 🍻 cheers
That RollsTimi at 2:17 is an early bird deal, hence the better price. In my experience the deals are better during the sales thanks to coupons.
Ultimately it's on ourselves to check prices, at least periodically, and find good deals.

Not every item will be greatly discounted during one of these major AliExpress sales especially new models, but you can pickup some incredible bargains. I also don't think you are including all the coupons and coin discounts. During this past Choice Day Sale I bought a Red Star ST1901 "1963" chronograph for Under $70, and a Corgeut BB58 (NH35A, sapphire) for less than $32.
Another factor is time. The Steeldive SD1970 ran over $100 when it was first introduced, so the $80 I paid during the 11.11 Sale in 2021 seemed like a good discount. Now that this model has bee around a few years, I saw them go for Under $50 with all the coupons and coins during this past sale. It doesn't surprise me that March 2024 Sale prices might not look as good in June 2024. At the time the price was probably better than it had been in months.
So, latest update to my two order purchase back in April…Aliexpress combined the order and triggered Customs charge because of it. I was told by the seller and Aliexpress to reject the customs charge as it was their fault for combining the orders. I rejected on 13th May. Since then, after multiple appeals, one order was fully refunded at start of June and the other one continually rejected, even though both orders made at same time and in same package. Today, the other order final decision is no refund! Now I have to appeal all over again!

The best prices are always if the watch is like over a year or more older you can get it for a really good price. The three best sales are usually the summer sale, 11/11 sale and year end mega sale. Most of those other sales are just hyped sales as you pointed out no real big discounts.
