I have a new C7 Stingray... I hate that it thrills me every time I start it up and roll out of the garage. I hate that it so plush and yet such a beast I hate that people often compliment the car and want to take photos. I hate that I can drive it for many hours on a road trip and never get tired I hate that it is economical to drive and yet gets me to 100 mph in only a few seconds where it comfortably cruises with out even breathing heavy. I love my new Stingray...this is my 7th Corvette in my life....so far.
How about power folding side view mirrors so can get her in garage without scraping (wide body!!) and blind spot detection as sight lines can be challenging. Come on GM, Hyundai and Kia offer these options.
The nav will add all kinds of time to your trip. I use Waze. If you want a truly nice interior, get the 3LT trim. I have the red but with a brown interior and no complaints about the interior. I also got the upgraded center console cover with the embroided stingray. Also, the upgraded wheels are worth it. The best option is the magnetic suspension.
Good info. About the DI noise, I doubt most people would notice it but a previous Vette owner would be comparing it to the sound of their previous cars and you'll definitely notice a difference compared to the earlier LS-based engines.
I am surprised that you did not add one more Negative comment. I replaced all my Tires right after delivery of my 2015 Vett with Michelin A/S 3 tires. The Result is that I can easily beat a Z06 from 0-60 in cold weather. The A/S tire from Michelin is now even better with the introduction of the A/S 3-Plus Run Flat tire and I think that Corvette would be wise to allow this tire as an option on new Corvettes. Many of us who do not live south of Dallas like to drive during colder weather. I recently trained a new Z06 Owner on how to drive his car in weather that is only 50 degrees. Put the Dial in Weather mode and manually shift into 3 gear before applying lots of power. Weather mode puts the Traction Control into extreme control over wheel spin. This combination allows the Z06 to remain under control while under full power with out over spinning the tires. It will not over come wheel spin in first or 2nd gear in cold weather. Keep in mind do not use the summer tires below 40 degrees
Im new to the c7 vette.. just bought a 2015 base LT with Z51 package from a old dude with 13k miles. Love the car..turn heads..and really fun to drive. Only thing i hate is the removable roof. Look cool when removed. But rattle when goes on stiff roads or bumps. Wish GM should have the option to have a fix roof or sliding sunroof.
i thought you were going to mention the lack of blind spotting signals....also do your car have android auto? i know you said you use it but i didnt know if you are saying you use it in this vehicle
I have a 17 Grand Sport and like yourself, I love the car but I have one major gripe - the way the car creaks when it goes up inclines at an angle. Hearing the interior of my car crack two or three times every time I leave my driveway does not make me feel good considering how expensive this car is. I have a few creaks (gauge cluster plastic I think) when I'm driving too which I'd love to get rid of. But like I said, the car is amazing and is very addicting to drive. I do wish I had waited a little bit longer and saved for the Z06.
Hey may I ask you something should I get a 2019 Corvette zr1 orange or a 2019 porshe 911 turbo white or a 2017 Lamborghini huracan for daily driving and fuel efficient
Spot on on #3: traded in my 2019 2SS Camaro for the 19' Stingray 2LT and the system in the Camaro (same menu/tabs) is 1000 times better than the Corvette. I'm praying for a replacement.
+MrLsmiles Exactly, overall it's a fantastic car. This was a hard video to make because there is so little that I dislike about it. Thanks for watching!
I was expecting for you to talking about the same stuff as I thinking about, but none of them can up. Mind if I make a response video of the same content?
I agree with most of these complaints. Having traded backwards from a 2019 Camaro with the same engine, I never heard the injectors, but on my 2015 Corvette it sounds like lifter noise. The display screen graphics look VERY dated for the "marquee flagship of Chevrolet" when compared to the display on the 2019 Camaro. I got the car with no window tint and I have to say, once i got some ceramic tint on it, blinding lights from the truck behind me is not happening any longer. FWIW
The key fob on my 2014 C7 was glaringly cheap - hard plastic, and i think the black paint(?) was peeling off it. Not something you would expect from the pride of GM.
Wow, love your perspective... but, this car desperately needs a blind spot monitor!! Not sure how you could not have that 1 or 2 with the coupe? Again, thanks for the video, but you may need a blind spot monitor yourself, if you missed that.
I just got mine and I don’t think it has blind spots lol I look to my left and I can see the back of the car and to the right the mirror really shows it all
+Sheena Boyles I've thought about it. I really like the low profile tire look though. I may eventually get larger rims and tires in the future. Thanks for the feedback!
Good idea but that would defeat the handling of the car in hard cornering. There is something called tire roll under which during a hard corner the side wall of the tire will roll under and when you come out of the corner the tire will flip back putting the car into a side slide pointing the opposite direction. Other than that you can do this but be careful what you wish for
That would alter the way the vehicle stability control system works, if you don't keep tires the same diameter on all four corners. So make sure that your mod takes that into consideration. Also, the speedometer will be off. You will need an aftermarket performance upgrade tuner to tell the car computer the new diameter of the tires. So consider that as part of the cost of buying new, bigger diameter wheels and tires.
the noise of DI is a minor thing but engines which have only 1 fuel injector /cyl. causes dirty inlet valves over time ! Which can be a huge problem even with catch can installed. Therefore the newer AUDI´s / Toyota´s and 2018 Mustang have another set of indirect injectors too only to keep inlet area and valves clean !
this is basically an evolution of your previous car. Chevrolet won't address some of these problems because this is a trade off supercar. This makes most complaints null and void as gm would have to mark up the price on every car just to satisfy what many owners consider problems. With Ferrari...aston Martin and many others....their problems are considered part of their character which is hilarious because it's an excuse to cover poor workmanship or cost cutting. as a c6 owner I take the good with the bad and know that in a realistic sense that you just can't have it all in this world.
i drove a C7 Z51 but when i saw pictures from completely dirty inlet valves after 20000mls and read about that more and more i let down planning to buy one. Same with AUDI FSI/TFSI and Eoboosters or GDI´s. Perhaps a TESLA is the best choice but more expensive and it lacks a famous V8 sound ;-)
+CZcams Championship That's very true! I do think that GM listens though. So many people complained about the Corvette interiors in the past and you can definitely tell that they took it serious for C7. I'm very happy with the car overall, but there's always room for improvement!
Cars, Costs and Technology you could make the case that the corvette will always make these improvements every generation. most of the complaints come from car rags that drive more polished and way more expensive. Although you could say a Porsche is more surgical and better built you can't really improve upon it or in any case make it your own...past exhaust and wheels.
+1SILVAK Congrats man! That's cool to hear a Viper owner switched over to a Corvette. I really enjoy the car overall. I was just pointing out some things that I felt could be improved on. Thanks for the feedback!
As far as infotainment systems go I think Audi is perfect. The TFT screen and google earth looks beautiful. It's the only built in navigation that's better thanks what's on your phone. I know NVidia makes the chip for it
The headlamps are not getting brighter, they are getting higher. Every year, more and more SUVs and pickup trucks are on the roads. With their higher mounted lights, you get more glare, especially for lower cars. There is no way to regulate the height of headlamps because of the very big loss in value to these vehicles. Neither the public nor the auto industry would stand for it.
Personally, I "hate" the electric doors Look how much extra stuff had to be added to accommodate their failure. Plus the fact that you cannot open the door from the inside unless the car is in PARK. You just can't drive up to drop someone off and stay in gear. Also there is the nanny guarding the infotainment. And don't forget the lousy voice recognition. I am not speaking Klingon but the recognition of my words is terrible.
+C. Paul Gallagher Lol I think sometimes the microphone stops working? I use Android Auto in mine and once in awhile it will just completely stop accepting voice commands all together. It's sort of odd. Thanks for sharing.
Really didn't go and mention anything about the tire noise when you're trying to back out your car from parking space. It's embarrassing it's surprising and totally an appropriate for this type of vehicle.
Dose that happen, I thought the corvette would have nothing to prove and people would leave alone. I get this all the time in my audi a6 and Taurus sho because they are more like sleeper cars
Number 2 is a deal breaker for me, I have Mercedes and i cant downgrade on interior, maybe if i wasnt an mb owner, but man cheap platic and flimsy interior just breaks it for me,moving on to the Mercedes sl and Maserati gran turismo, dude my wifes commuter a mb c230 has auto dimming rearview and both side mirrors, rain sensor etc...wtf

wow. your totally off base on these things. How about tire skipping in sharp turns. A8 trans being somewhat sluggish. Hot air through vents. tendency to tramline with the wide tires. bad gas mileage with z06, there are lots of way more important things actually.
One thing I HATE about the C7.... It looks like a Camaro from the back. I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I think the C5/6 looks better.

Good stuff. Subscribed.
+Jithin Daniel Thanks man. I appreciate the feedback and support!
there's only one thing that i hate about the corvette ..I DONT HAVE ONE
+Maqui Navarro Hahaha... Made my day 👍
Same
I have a new C7 Stingray... I hate that it thrills me every time I start it up and roll out of the garage.
I hate that it so plush and yet such a beast
I hate that people often compliment the car and want to take photos.

Hey I was wondering if I should get for daily drive a 2019 Corvette zr1 orange or a 2019 porshe 911 turbo white or a 2017 Lamborghini huracan
And I person say something about a noise they hear when they go up the road
your videos are very simple and educational, subbed for that, greeting from australia.
I love the little wiggle you did to show the Chevy feel.
How about power folding side view mirrors so can get her in garage without scraping (wide body!!) and blind spot detection as sight lines can be challenging. Come on GM, Hyundai and Kia offer these options.
Leo Ciccone It’s a 70k car that can go a quarter mile in 12 seconds and has a top speed of 200mph and you’re worried about why your mirrors don’t fold
@@slydy9494 Traded her in for an f90 M5. Mirrors power fold and will blow any C7 or C8 off the road.
The nav will add all kinds of time to your trip. I use Waze. If you want a truly nice interior, get the 3LT trim. I have the red but with a brown interior and no complaints about the interior. What, I can't hear you, turn the NPP off.
I'm going to buy my first corvette today and I want to thank you for pointing these things out
Get a Z51 2LT with Nav.
+Richard Butts No problem! I'm glad I could help out. Thanks for the feedback!
@@12sec5ltr why nav...
So in your opinion is the 1LT package a good car for daily driving? I'm not a track guy but I do enjoy good handling with a bit of power.
Great points! I wish someone from GM see this!
Beautiful car! Congrats.
GM has always had cheap interior componets
I am surprised that you did not add one more Negative comment. I replaced all my Tires right after delivery of my 2015 Vett with Michelin A/S 3 tires. Ok now once i've watched 5 Things I HATE About my C7 Corvette Stingray
Now i'm going to watch 5 Things I LOVE About my C7 Corvette Stingray
I've heard that the Infotainment in Chevys in terms of performance and interactivity is one of the best
After I watched this video now I know that there is no bad things in the c7 Corvette 😁👍🏼
i thought you were going to mention the lack of blind spotting signals....also do your car have android auto? i know you said you use it but i didnt know if you are saying you use it in this vehicle
Great vid..I agree 1-5. The nav and radio blow!

Those side mirrors sticks out like airplane wings very nice car
Good points, and sounds like two of your problems can be fixed by simply buying the next package up
+MrLsmiles Exactly, overall it's a fantastic car. This was a hard video to make because there is so little that I dislike about it. Thanks for watching!
I've got an 18 1LT. Definitely go for the tinted windows. Makes a huge difference.
If you haven't bought a Corvette yet spring for the 3lt tinted windows come standard and you get the auto darkening rear view mirrors (all three)..
How do u not have a million subs
Awesome video
Thanks!

I bought a 2014 stingray z-51 3-lt package has 4600 miles on it love it
How much was it in total
They must have fixed that loud ticking sound in the direct injection as my 2019 stingray doesn't do that.
My 2017 does..it was a WTF moment until I read up on it
Cupholders are terrible too
+Henry I haven't used them very often, so I haven't noticed that yet. They do seem to be pretty shallow.
that is my only complaint about my 2015 Z51 2lt
I was going to add that, too. Very flimsy, and the center piece constantly moves around and won't hold tightly!
The key fob on my 2014 C7 was glaringly cheap - hard plastic, and i think the black paint(?) was peeling off it. Not something you would expect from the pride of GM.
can you plut unleased in ths car? or premium?
+YoungBlaze Of Chitown I always use 93 octane 👍 You could probably get away with less, but they do recommend premium.
I own a Nassau blue 1998 C5 & she's a real beauty. But, I gotta admit that if i could afford a C7, i'd probably trade mine in a heartbeat.
Literally just got my C7, I noticed when I close the front trunk you have to make sure you close it level or one side or the other won’t latch
Just like the hood on my old C5. LoL
It's still not enough of an enticement for me to get rid of my C6Z.
Wow, love your perspective... but, this car desperately needs a blind spot

I have a corvette stingray and don't know how to open up the hood. Can you tell me where the button to open it up would be
+Roman Angelo It's actually a latch that you pull underneath the left side of the steering wheel/dash.
On the Far Left under the dash the lever is flush with the under side of the dashboard
Roman Angelo read your manual.
My Stingray with the Z51 doesn't sound like that at all.
Buy a tire with a taller side wall to fill the space in the wheel well !
+Sheena Boyles I've thought about it. I really like the low profile tire look though. I may eventually get larger rims and tires in the future. Thanks for the feedback!

#1 That it's in your garage and not mine.
My dad's car makes those knocking noises
1. Doesn’t look like the ‘67 stingray
I for one prefer the 18 and 19 inch wheels.
Personally, I "hate" the electric doors Look how much extra stuff had to be added to accommodate their failure. Plus the fact that you cannot open the door from the inside unless the car is in PARK. You sure can open the doors while the car is in gear. You just hit the unlock button and then it"ll open.
I agree. Those 5 things are VERY annoying. That's why you should just stop all the unnecessary suffering and hand your C7 over to me! ;-)
I am going to buy a z06 and badge it with a stingray lol
Really didn't go and mention anything about the tire noise when you're trying to back out your car from parking space. It's embarrassing it's surprising and totally an appropriate for this type of vehicle.
#1 thing I hate about my stingray
It’s not a Zo6
Z06
How do you hate anything in this car!?!
+samuel caldwell It was definitely a hard list to come up with!
Is that a coupe
+Justa SneakerHead Yes.
The only thing I hate about my C7 is all the little punks who roll up on me and want to race or cut in front of me. It is annoying!
Lol yeah, that does get old pretty quick...
Dose that happen, I thought the corvette would have nothing to prove and people would leave alone. I get this all the time in my audi a6 and Taurus sho because they are more like sleeper cars
Gap between the wheels and body is horrible
That injection noise is cancer
Waaaaa
WTF is ur problem with this car the stingray is 😎🔥😎🔥😎🔥
Number 2 is a deal breaker for me, I have Mercedes and i cant downgrade on interior, maybe if i wasnt an mb owner, but man cheap platic and flimsy interior just breaks it for me,moving on to the Mercedes sl and Maserati gran turismo, dude my wifes commuter a mb c230 has auto dimming rearview and both side mirrors, rain sensor etc...wtf
wahhhhhhhhhhh
What do I hate about the C7? Absolutely freaking nothing!!!
The interior in the c7 is a huge downfall on these cars. That being said, they killed it when on the exterior
There is a staving child in Africa who would love your car...
Quit crying and cough up the little a more cash and get 2018 Z06.
The fact that a C6 looks better.
What is the deal with youtubers always using the word hate to describe things you don't like. Makes you seem like a drama queen. Especially in your case where you felt the need to capitalize the word. On top of that you are saying things you hate when you didn't order the options!
That could be piston slap instead of the DI system, a common thing with Corvettes!
1 thing i hate is that u got a stingray and cant afford a Z06
Direction his horrible from an engineering point of view. The noise is the least of the problems associated with direct injection. Do your homework, most manufacturers are moving away from direct injection to direct and port injection.
Get a Grand sport
wow. your totally off base on these things. How about tire skipping in sharp turns. A8 trans being somewhat sluggish. Hot air through vents. tendency to tramline with the wide tires. bad gas mileage with z06, there are lots of way more important things actually.
My z06 returns 29mpg at 80mph
Really that bunch bs you don’t have damn thing do……
One thing I HATE about the C7.... It looks like a Camaro from the back. I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I think the C5/6 looks better.
Initially, I really didn't like the new taillights either, but they're starting to grow on me. I do love the C6 rear end the most though!
ZX2Fast c6 is beautiful but interior quality wasn't great
Typical GM
why are you so picky
Sell it and buy a 63-split! Come to enjoy a real Sting Ray!
+John doe They're awesome cars, but I don't think I could could daily drive a 1963 like I do my C7.

Bro this is petty shit, its a corvette not a porsche. Like anything in life you get what you pay for
My 2017 GS doesn't make this noise! Could be your harmonic balancer...
sounds like a center tube gear problem
Does the C7 rattle like the C6 does??? is the C7 daily drivable? thanks
+FitCross199 It's not completely gone, but it is SIGNIFICANTLY better than the C6. I've been daily driving mine since I bought it. No issues yet 👍
