I decided to take a moment and talk about what Infinity War does differently that makes it better than Endgame. - Zábava
"I LOVE YOU 3000!"
say it back 😠😠
I LOVE YOU 3000!
listen Tex, I love u like a distant cousin. don't make it weird
I Love You 3000!!!!!!
I’m not gay
I LOVE YOU... 2999! (tbh Endgame is my favourite movie of all time, and then at 2nd place is InfinityWar. I think IW is AMAZING, but Endgame is an overall MASTERPIECE and it is better, but hey, that's what are ART is about, we can have our opinions, and we can just agree to disagree... but still... not 3000, just 2999.)
Killing off the main timeline Thanos within the first 15 minutes, after getting emotionally invested seeing him go through the villain's journey for the infinity stones in the previous movie, then replacing him with the generic 2014 version, really killed the movie for me.
That's why Endgame was a disappointment for me.
Damn y’all are lame
@@Mafiatunes1
Why? I mean, for all intents and purposes each movie’s Thanos are different character entirely. Both in universe (different timelines) and in how their characters are written.
So any connection the audience has built with the character (be it positive or negative) kinda gets thrown out the window.
Yep
Infinity War Thanos literally carried the hype for Endgame
To see the heroes effortlessly take him out, killed all the hype with it
We came for Thanos, only for him to be completely cut out
@@Mafiatunes1 I am so sure these ppl were screaming in the theater lmao
While Endgame is good, I highly agree and recommend Infinity War because it changes expectations, has heavy emotions and every character perfectly suited to there role.
Starlord portrayal might have been a little off ---and Wanda Vision relationship was mostly off screen (amended in wandavision). And the sidelining of Hulk made most feel cheated (made only worse by end games depiction)
Infinity war is leagues better on re-watch
Their*
Overall IW beats EG BUT cap wielding the hammer was the greatest cinematic moment of my life.
"while endgame is good"
💀💀💀
it's one of if not the worst marvel movie, full of character assassination, complete disregard for their own time travel rules, stupid virus being spread to the characters in favor of fan service, etc etc
the scene where cap goes back in time has all of these on full display, and it's on full display throughout the entire movie
Infinity War was peak MCU. I doubt it will ever be topped.
I remember going into it with low expectations and I was absolutely blown away.
Infinity war is the best mcu movie ever made
Civil war is better
I don't know, Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars looks amazing. But, it'll probably be rushed like everything. And as well, I loved Antman 3 but everyone hated it for some reason.
@@LilQtiYou liked a comedic stage play? 💀
@@LilQti please tell me how Kang dynasty and Secret Wars look good when one they haven’t posted any trailers or any teasers/info about it, two most of the characters who’s going to be in it are phase 4 characters who are garbage woke unfinished and unlikable, and three when they don’t even know what to do with their singular movies like Ant-Man 3, Love and Thunder, etc..? So tell me how do you think they’re gonna pull off the two new Avengers movies?
I liked infinity war so much more than endgame. Endgame was great and fun enough and did great job on conclusion but I could see some materials that Disney forced director to put it in. Winter soldier and ironman1 and infinity war and GOG1 will be always my favourite mcu films
I agree with everything you said, those are easily the best of the mcu movies, though id put civil war on there too just because of the emotional toll it takes on the characters
Top 10 mcu movies I think:
1. Infinity War
2. CA Winter Soldier
3. GOG 1
4. Ironman 1
5. CA Civil War
6. Avengers 1
7. Thor Ragnarok
8. Endgame
9. Thor 1
10. Doctor Strange
Infinity war was the best movie
@@tjmflame1683 Came to add this, glad to been beaten to it
Endgame sucks lol. And boring as fuck
I never liked what they did with Hulk in Endgame
In the mcu in general. He’s mainly a joke alongside other characters
only joss whedon cared about hulk. after that, he's become a joke
I never liked MCU Hulk except in his solo movie. That dude was Rage Incarnate, not some moody gorilla
And Thor was downgraded In Endgame
@@jojosoni Is that why he made the unnecessary natasha bruce relationships that nobody asked for?
In Endgame Thanos explicitly says that he "Reduced them to atoms" (Referring to the Infinity Stones here). They didn't technically cease to exist from the timeline, they were still present, only scattered throughout the entire universe or some crap like that.
Used as fertiliser
Only to see Loki and they're just a drawer full of stones meaning nothing to them for the "Time Cops"
Not to mention Infinity War has the added bonus of being the first time we see such a large scale MCU movie. Sure, Endgame added a few more characters but the first time always hits different
When it comes to Hulk and Bruce's character arc, I don't think it was ever hinted that Bruce gained control of Hulk. At the end of The Incredible Hulk, he's just using the Hulk to release his anger. He's letting Hulk do what Hulk is meant to do. Which works, because he's been trying to get rid of him the entire film. Same thing happens in Avengers and Age of Ultron (him letting Hulk do what Hulk does). Ragnarok and Infinity War see them split even further apart, and Endgame (at least speaking from comic knowledge) sees the emergence of a completely different personality that is neither Bruce nor Hulk. It looks to be setting up a Dogs of War adaptation. It's not a very popular comic run, but neither was Spider-Man No More, and everyone loved No Way Home.
The difference is that no way home was hard carried by nostalgia and great character work. Anything with Hulk will be tough to make interesting considering how much he’s been disrespected in the MCU thanks to Universal having his movie rights.
@@Watermelon_Man Yeah, sure. But if they were to partner with Universal or to just get the film rights back (I mean they have Namor back now, so...), I could easily see them doing a Dogs of War storyline leading into a World War Hulk. Despite it being unpopular, I think it's the best way to salvage Hulk in the MCU. And it would be the perfect opportunity to bring back Dr. Samson as well, which could also lead to good story possibilities. Going straight to World War Hulk could also work, but it would be a little rushed to me.
@@DarthTingleBinks see the World war hulk technically happened already, it’s just that it was handled by watiti, who made hulk a joke
@@cyanide167 No, that was Planet Hulk. Similar, but very different.
Edit: And Hulk was rather good in Ragnarok. Sure, he was used for a lot of jokes, but no other movie explored his character as in depth as Ragnarok. And that Quinjet scene is utter perfection.
@Eli Williams Well I disagree, but you are entitled to your opinion.
*Infinity War* was one of the best theatre experiences I’ve ever had.. I had such high expectations for Endgame - then Thanos just started blurting out generic dialogue and all character arcs were abandoned from previous films.. so Endgame was the most disappointing theatre experience I’ve ever had.
Nobody laughed in my theater for endgame, IW everyone was lit 🔥
I wouldn’t go that far
Ok hold you're horses.
Wdym, the character arcs were fulfilled Ik endgame lol
Dosomestuff - Tony’s PTSD was dropped, Thor’s arc of finding who he was… carried on for some reason, Banner’s arc was skipped.. Endgame was terrible
Endgame would've been better if they had 2018 Thanos catch wind of their plans and chasing the avengers through different timelines that would've been my version. Keeps the tension going and doesn't get rid of 2018 thanos
I think they could’ve done the same with 2014 thanos, they just should’ve written him better
Infinity War is my number one mcu film. Endgame, while still in the top 5 for me, is surely not as good. If you don’t count thanoses monologue then the last half of endgame is perfect but the rest just does not quite live up to it
Infinity War is more rewatchable because of the pace (like you said), the variety of action scenes, and the brighter, more interesting color pallet. It's a shame (in my book) that the ultimate battle of the Thanos saga is basically a giant grey blah set in a location with no particular identity, 'sense of place', or emotional connection for the audience. The battle in Wakanda, where everyone has a moment to feel the weight of the stakes, feels much more epic than Endgame with everyone pretty much going "what the...?!" in reaction mode to a threat that just came out of know where.
In my opinion the only reason Infinity war is better is because they lost in the end and it was too predictable for them to win in endgame
Why does the hero always have to beat the enemy? In real life you don’t always get your way you just move on
@@Us3r739 fr
The real annoyance was killing off our Thanos so easily
There was no build up, it was just an ambush and bam he's dead in less than 2 minutes
I was hyped to see the Avengers make a plan, go off on their seperate journeys/ arcs and return strong enough to beat Infinity War Thanos
But nope the Averagers were strong all the time
The movie should have kept us hooked to see the inevitable downfall of Thanos, not just kill him off in the first 15 minutes
That is FAR from the only reason, but it is definitely a major reason.
@@thedudecalledalan9095 Why would they need to fight Infinity War Thanos in the same way? He had already completed his goal, had no more stones, was severely injured, and chilling in his garden, not caring about wtf happens. They did not need to "return strong enough". I mean look at how Thor could have easily beat Thanos if he wasn't trying to savour his victory like in IW. Can you imagine if they trained and got "strong enough" only for the fight to end in two seconds because Thanos doesn't care because he already fulfilled his destiny? And what would it be for? There's no stones so they'd just be wasting their time fighting an old half-burnt nutsack-chin grape.
This my problem with certain portrayals of superheros is the power scaling. One moment a character could be insanely powerful and one moment they're nerfed.
This why I like JL a lot is every character is OP even the villains. It's always a threat. The hits also have impact. I think infinity war had a lot of that. It's the best movie IMO with how creative the conflicts were.
It's also one reason I don't like MCU rn is that thor and hulk were so nerfed. These are the strongest characters and they're just a joke these days. I loved thor in infinity war. Hulk never got his dues imo
What's JL
@@jaykayverse8548 justice league snyder cut
Vision was nerfed too. He is made of vibranium synthetic skin, has fantastical powers and an Infinity stone in his forehead, yet seemed like a fragil bird with a broken wing most of the movie.
@@bdonovable exactly!! Now I don't mind how he got nerfed. He was stabbed super early and that one made sense. BUT I know vision is strong af and we never go to see him operate at full strength. It's annoying
I watched this movie with some friends, one of our friends brought his like 7yo daughter because Spider-Man is her favorite superhero. This friend also knows nothing about superheroes, so he didn't know people were going to die.
By the end of the movie, this little girl watched her favorite superhero die and asked "daddy where's the happy ending?". 10/10 movie.
I think of endgame as more of a love letter to the 10 years of MCU and the characters we love.
Endgame and No Way Home were both love letters from Marvel. Sure, neither is perfect but they're still memorable ❤️
No it wasn't. Massive character assassination
@@JakeLYT hey everyone who thinks infinty war was way bettter?????
Been saying this. Infinity War was, to quote Thanos himself, "Perfectly balanced as all things should be."
Infinity war had a massive impact on me even though at the time it came out I actively disliked the mcu. It was a remarkable theater experience. Then I saw endgame and it just had no where near as much of an impact on me. I'm glad to see I am not the only one that has issues with the movie.
The stones weren’t gone in the main universe, it was just reduce to atoms that are just in the world somewhere roaming. And also writers confirmed that after Steve lived his life and came back to the main timeline with the pimp particle it had.
Pimp particle, lol.
@@KobraEditing it would make sense to have a Steve in the timeline that's alway been there, he's not exactly the same one who left but he's similar.
@@ltb1345 I know funny name.
Infinity war was an impossible movie, i could never anticipate how it could succeed so well
Dude the payoff of Cap and Tony finally seeing each other again is amazing. The best dialogue in my opinion is Tony’s to Cap about fighting Thanos. Dialogue didn’t suffer in this
The first 5 minutes of Endgame were great. They felt like the epilogue to Infinity War, but after they killed Thanos, and the time-jump, it was pretty meh. It had some good moments. Cap vs Cap was fun. Tony meeting his young dad was cool. Losing the Thanos from Infinity War was lame. It pretty much ruined the movie right there. It felt like the Russos wanted to surprise the audience, but their approach was too drastic, and undermined the good work they did in Infinity War of turning Thanos into a character who mattered to us. The 2014 Endgame Thanos was a different guy, with a different attitude, and a different set of experiences.
@@cobrakats7440 It was the same guy though.
@@ltb1345 Not in the context in which I said it. Their different experiences gave them different attitudes and goals. My point was that killing Infinity War Thanos erased the character who we followed in Infinity War. Replacement Thanos wasn't the same at all.
@@cobrakats7440 what did you expect? 2019 thanos had won. He reached his goal and retired and rested on what he considered to be a "greatful universe" this plot point was IN infinity war. So it could not be undone he destroyed the stones and it crippled him. Infinity war thanos had no ambition to kill and in that aspect he was nerfed. 2014 thanos learns he completed his goal. But is angered by the avengers trying to undo his lifes work. In that sense he became more dangerous because although he no longer had the stones he still fought to kill.
Lets be real you probably were overjoyed in the cinema watching endgame. Which was a peak cinema experience.
@@randomcontentguy2521 No. I was annoyed from the moment they killed Thanos lol. Weird that you think someone is not being real with their impression of a movie. I eas thinking about how much better I would have made Endgame, almost the entire time. It had some highlights. Tony getting to say goodbye to his dad was touching. Cap vs Cap was fun. Most of the end battle was cool, but they took the energy down with that ridiculous, preachy, all female scene. Endgame was overall a disappointment. I have watched The Avengers and Infinity War multiple times. I have seen Age of Ultron and Endgame once, because neither os worth watching again.
As much as Endgame truly is an epic conclusion to the Infinity Saga, killing off the 2018 Thanos within the first 20 minutes of the film was a huge mistake
It really wasnt
Such an odd thing to say. His character arc was over and his goal was reached, there was nothing else to do with his character who was completely satisfied with the state he and the world was in. You basically wanted him to backtrack just because? Also 2014 Thanos and 2019 Thanos are literally no different in any big capacity. The only difference you can reach for is the end goal.
It wasn't a bad idea, I mean Thanos just had nothing left. What was a bad idea was killing him just to replace him with the old Thanos, it's like "dude, we already killed you".
Honestly would love to see a prequel to infinity war. Kinda like a rogue one style movie, where Thanos’ army is attempting to rule a planet and their people must fight. It can explore Thanos backstory more while also fixing plot holes in infinity war
Maybe something to do with nova corp?
I would say just rewatch the Infinity saga or use the info in the movies to give you an idea. Not everything has to be told/shown, part of enjoying a good movie is the stuff that isn't shown to us that require us to imagine.
Yes cause everyone cared about Black Widow and Captain Marvel midquel and prequel respectively
The moments in both the Incredible Hulk and Avengers refer to Banner being able to control when he turns into The Hulk, not controlling the Hulk himself.
Age of Ultron showed him going nuts after Wanda messed with his mind.
It's like when you have a feeling on a long road trip that you've forgotten something. You aren't entirely sure what it is, but it weighs down the entire road trip every time you think of it
Really missed the commentaries & I’m glad you brought it back. And with this more in depth video too. Can’t wait to finish this vid.
*in terms of pacing, action and story, infinity war IS BY FAR THE SUPERIOR FILM, but I’m not mad at endgame, no way it could’ve surpassed a movie where the villain wins, endgame is slower, etc but yes infinity war wins out*
I love infinity war and endgame movies both of them were really awesome and badass.
0:24 thanks for helping me find the song thats been stuck in my head for years
The time travel stuff was my favorite part. Reliving all those moments was epic
I like endgame better, not becuase it’s bigger action and scale, but who the focus is on, the og 6, we haven’t seen them together since 2015 and the chemistry is still there and we got to see how there 10 year arcs end, very satisfying
Facts !! Finally someone who gets it
Ya I really wanted them to come together again after civil War events!
Absolutely agree. Idk why but lately most people are trashing Endgame way too much. Well that doesn't matter to me cuz people hate everything now.
I'll admit, even WHEN Endgame came out, I felt the time travel wasn't NEARLY as good! They TRY to rag on "Back to the Future", but it did things A LOT better! It's cool that they brought back Thanos from the past, but he has no REAL goal, since even HE admits that he fulfilled his purpose!
So why he attack avengers base? If his purpose already fullfilled?
He says he already fulfilled his goal in the main timeline. But he also realised that "as long as there are those who remember what was, there will be those who are unable to accept what can be."
He realised that if he kills half of all life, the other half will try to undo it. Which is why he changed his goals to just wipe all of existence and create a new one. It was *that* change of his goals that caused his failure because he wasn't fueled by the same determination like Infinity War Thanos.
While I do think Endgame was pretty good I agree Infinity War is better. When Infinity War starts the movie it hits the ground running and doesn’t stop firing on cylinders cause Thanos is an active threat in the first 15 minutes he has beaten Thor, Hulk, Loki and Heimdall and has two infinity Stones giving us this sense of urgency and Dread cause it’s a race against time for the stones. Endgame is a lot slower and I get the we somewhat explore the world or universe five years after the snap but it’s so slow and there’s no urgency until 2014 Thanos appears. Plus the the other stuff you mention like the humor, Fat Thor, the “She’s got help” moment and other things that don’t hold up when if you think about it long enough
💯 been saying this! It’s also the desperation the uncertainty even though “the good guys always win” it’s still tense….at least for an mcu film
Thanks for reminding me how actually great the pacing is in Justice League Snyder Cut. It's seriously impressive how entertaining it is all the way through despite being 4 stinkin hours long.
I liked the video the first few seconds bro😂😂💯 G content
I agree with you, Endgame is C-tier at best.
My problems with Endgame is A) It's confused storyline, B) It gets rid of all the heroes you like, or at least pushes them into the background, to focus on people you don't care about and C) the action doesn't carry nearly as much weight as I never felt like the Heroes were in much danger.
Gets rid of the heroes you like? Tf are you on about. Everybody loves the OG Avengers. Tony, Cap, Thor, hell even Hawkeye and Black Widow had more to do
Imo it’s better than infinity war
Hate for the sake of hating lmao.
I like action and Endgame was more story driven as opposed to Infinity War. There was like one huge fight in the beginning and obviously the last 30 minutes but infinity war had a fight scene like every 15 minutes
@@knightshadowhimself Thor and Hulk were horribly portrayed, but they were there. Hulk was not portrayed much better in Infinity War either though.
One problem with Hulk’s snap happening after Thanos showed up would be that Hulk could’ve used the gauntlet to kill thanos first, instead of trying to bring people into a massive fight
Infinity War is the best Marvel Film ever. It’s in my top 3 CB movies of all time. Endgame dragged for me and had a lot of time traveling plot holes that still makes no sense to me.

@@nyameleyefekaska2895 Cool list!
Avengers endgame suffers from lazy character development. Hulk entire arc occurs off screen. Tony abandons his leftover resentment for Steve off screen. Tony forsakes his hatred of Howard off screen. We don’t get to see how Nebula and Rocket attempt to cope after their family got dusted other than that one hand holding moment. Nebula’s killing her past self served no purpose because in GOTG vol two she grew out of the person Thanos molded her into. Starlord has no reaction to being back on earth for the first time in 35 years. Bucky never gets to interact with Tony. Thanos inexplicably wants to kill everyone even though he’s 4 years younger. Which must be pretty short from his perspective. Hawkeye descent into a lawless executioner was rushed and he should’ve been the one who kills himself for the soul gem because it services his character better. So much wasted potential here and such a unsatisfying conclusion.
It feels like they didn't pay much attention about what happened in the pass movies
don't forget drax not even trying to go after thanos. his whole goal of the life was to kill thanos. His story line thrown into the trashcan.
@@jojosoni I just realize this.........
He did try to kill himself, that should be enough to serve his character. Hawkeye simply has more to lose than Black Widow. One of the reasons why he was the one to survive must be related to him having a family while Natasha doesn't technically.
If this would of all happened like you said this would of movie over justice 4 hours. Both movies cost over 775 million dollars to make
I think it all comes down to stakes.
In Infinity War the stakes are clear: there's Thanos, and if he wins half the damn universe kicks the bucket.
In Endgame until the last 40 minutes there's nothing: Thanos is dead, and the worst thing that can happen if the Avengers fail is that things stay the same.
Even though I like endgame and they did a good job with wrapping up Iron Man and Captain America. I have to say infinity war is miles better.
Steve knows Peggy had a family, he chose to go back in time and steal that life from all of them..

And that was me who had already watched Infinity War (back then)17 times... Now currently it's safe to say I've watched Infinity War 28 times and Endgame is still twice.
One thing I think you got wrong is that Tony didn’t figure out time travel. He just figured out how to navigate the quantum realm. The Pym particles are the main reason they were able to go back
Agreed, he also got the thing about Tony being smarter then he actually is.
Tony in the comics is insanely smart so why shouldn't other versions of him be.
Also it was Hulk who said it wasn't his area of expertise not Tony.
@@mandalorianhunter1 also also tony said he already thought about how he could time travel, so he already had an idea for ~5 years

These two movies go hand in hand. You really can’t watch them separately, they’re essentially the same movie. A two-parter. For some people, infinity war didn’t hold up after the halfway point (Endgame). Overall, they’re both great, I like both of them for their own reasons
I watch Infinity War by itself all the time.
I actually would've preferred infinity war to be the end of the mcu
What does that matter when they don't go well together? There's a massive time jump where character development "allegedly" happens off screen. Character develpment happened in past movies are reverted, Thanos act like a completely different person with the dumbest explanation to why he does so. Those two movies are very different in so many ways. So, no they don't go hand in hand. That statement is a massive disservice to Infinity war.

the lens flare in infinity war makes sense to me because it becomes an index for the glow of the stones. the frequent lens flares are constant reminders of the stones and their importances.
I have always disliked end game and thought that this is true to the beginning of what we're in now. I always remember walking out of the theater and telling my friend why the hell was there a time jump? I always hate time jumps in films there a lazy way to get tour characters into or out of a situation. This movie the time jump literally could have been a phase of the MCU. A darker one showing the effect of what Thanos did and how it's effected the the characters left behind. It would probably be the best phase so far if executed correctly and then end game could still have finished off the phase
Agree with you but in comic, they introduce multiverse after DC introduced first back in 80's. It basically ran out of ideas so they want writer to chose which universe they want to write.
I also hates time travelling movies because of paradox it will created. For example if someone goes back to past, it will be like terminator where I don't know how many time they send back people in time. It's basically never ending story.
Funny thing is when I was re-watching infinity war it wasn’t as good as I remember. I felt more with end game! But I’m just talking about my own personal experiences. 💙🖤💙
Everything in Avengers Infinity War felt like more like a build up to the end of the Infinity Saga...Avengers Endgame was aright but Infinity War handled it's Story,Tone and Character's better especially Thanos...Although I think it could have done with out that grey filter and most of the joke's
It worked so well because it was the first time where you felt right away that your favorite heroes that somehow always found a way to figure out shit were just immediately getting fucked up and killed by this “mad titan” the first time I watched it was something special for sure
I’m of the belief that not every movie is meant to be rewatched. Endgame is a great example of this, I think it’s still a great movie tho.
Dude thank you so much for pointing out them breaking their own rules on time travel. I pointed that out to my friends the moment the credits rolled but they didn't listen cause they always write me off as the negative nancy who ruins movies for people cause I can't brainlessly watch things and "I always have to find something wrong". That was such bad writing and I'm glad to finally hear someone else point it out in the same way.
Fw the vids bro keep it up
I think Infinity War and Endgame are both phenomenal movies. But I think the easiest reason why IW is better is because it feels more like a real movie, the definitive Avengers film. It’s action packed, exciting, surprising, and an emotional rollercoaster. Thanos is also a phenomenal and very well fleshed out villain. Stories are just kinda better by default when the villain has motivations that are kinda understandable from a certain point of view.
However Endgame is kind of just a repeat of previous events, and while it does work fine enough and makes for a pretty interesting adventure through the past, it’s just kind of less exciting. Especially because you know the outcome. Look at Nat’s death. It’s powerful and well done, but it’s the same as Gamora’s, which makes sense given it’s the same place, but it just kinda makes it feel less special when we’ve already been here before, sort of like the rest of the movie. I feel like Endgame just isn’t as rewatchable either. Infinity War is a fun crazy adventure through space with a great villain, but Endgame is just things we’ve seen before with no villain, and also the entire first third of the movie is sort of a post apocalyptic drama, which is cool to watch the first time, but doesn’t really make the most exciting rewatch experience. And while the final battle in Endgame is obviously way better than IW, it doesn’t really change that the rest of the movie lacks emotion and a good villain and the excitement of IW.
*Fun Fact* : Marvel has said Cap was a cameo in Infinity War, thats why he had like 4 minutes of screentime in Infinity War

@@TexYT they should have just used the back to the future time travel logic
I finally understood it after all these years
For your point at 12 minutes in, what the Ancient One was talking about regarding the Stones is that if Banner takes the Stones (in her case the Time Stone) and doesn't return them, that'll deviate the timeline towards a darker history because they don't have them anymore (like we saw in Doctor Strange. It was his use of the Time Stone that saved Earth from Dormmamu). The writers just explained that in the worst possible way lmao, like she literally says "The Stones create what you percieve as the flow of time" which makes no sense at all
For me, Infinity War is just perfect.
I didn't expect that ending
This is I guess some what relevant to Infinity War but now that The Transfomers live action movie's are now becoming a cinematic universe it would be great if we got more spin off movie's like Bumblebee and have one or tow big movie events like Infinity War and Endgame with Unicron as the main villain acting as Thanos....I guarantee that's what Paramount is doing since Unicron will be mentioned in the next movie and it will reboot the live action universe setting it apart from the Bayverse and only having Bumblebee as it's 1st film like what the MCU did with starting of with Iron Man
Didn't they announce beast war few months ago?
@@boboboy8189 Yeah but the film isn't coming out till next year so we will have to wait and see what happens
I think that while you are definitely right in most points, the one that stands out as maybe not increasing the quality of endgame is the snap that brings everyone back.
If the hulk didn't snap until after Thanos bombs the compound, he snaps everyone back and then if he is "smart hulk" snaps Thanos away at the same time. End of movie, no avengers assemble, no Tony sacrifice, no CGI blob fight, etc.
I get why it would raise the stakes. It's just the pay offs wouldn't work and that's half the things that people remember about the movie.
It was an emotional thrill ride for sure
the way i understand it from watching a few videos a long time ago about the infinity stones is that even if thanos destroyed them their energy is still in that universe you as a person just arent able to access it anymore by just picking up a stone, by taking it from the past that timeline is losing that energy altogether
Nah thanos sitting and waiting for u to run his fade is mad hard ngl
And he beat all they ass when they did try him 😂
I loved both very much. Both are part of my top 10 MCU movies.
10:00
The reason this makes sense and is necessary is that in order to get the whole Snapped Back crew together and headed to the right place, Dr. Strange needed the time it took for the building to be destroyed, everyone to recover and the 3-on-1 fight to happen. If it happened like you described, the battle would have been lost before everyone was gathered.
I always see MCU as a popcorn entertainment. So I enjoyed both Infinity war and Endgame almost equally. Its just that stakes were higher in Infinity war so it feels a bit more entertaining
End Game doesn't break it's time travel rules. Captain American had already branched the timeline from the original timeline before the movie even happened. The original timeline that we do not see has Captain America never coming back. Old Captain American never knew he was in a different timeline.
time travel thing would’ve been more effective had it been introduced in IW but ultimately idc i still love both movies
This is hands down one of the best perspectives I’ve seen for this incredible epic film! I’ve always stated that Infinity War was a better comic book film🎉
4:44 Another issue I felt in IW is the characterization of Hulk and Bruce Banner.... it could've been a lot better imo
Infinity War is more like a proper movie with an actual goal to resolve the conflicts in between Thanos Ideology and those who trying very hard to stop him.
Whereas Endgame suddenly become a theme park circus with all scheduled events in the checklist similar to the sceduled events on our typical graduation ceremony. That's why it works to conclude this 10 years saga, but as a movie itself, the narrative tones, the pacing, the momentum are just all over the place.
I couldn’t agree with you more. I’ve always preferred and re-watched “Infinity War” over “Endgame”, and you were able to accurately-articulate why.
While I liked the alternative approach to Hulk snapping. I could see why they did it before because I feel like it could’ve taken away the impact of Tony using the stones. Granted I could see it working out better for Atleast Hulk character as he gets his revenge on Thanos from IW.
Yeah if it happened that way it wouldnt make sense, hulk could snap the people back and eliminate thanos' in one go so the people who returned wouldnt have to fight.
I think that both Infinity War and Endgame are equally great, even though i like Endgame a little bit more. Infinity War was the muscle, Endgame was the heart. One of my favorite conclusions to any franchise ever next to The Lord of the Rings. I'm glad that i watched both in theaters :)
Endgame plot hole is bigger than fury's eyes got slashed by cat
Watch it 2-3 times
Again to see the change
Your absolutely right
I saw both of these in theaters, infinity war had everyone crying and in disbelief for most of it especially at the end, while endgame didn’t have almost any of that actual shock for most of the movie
I liked this video because of the music at the end
The fact that i keep going back to watch infinity war more than endgame, proves your point
I remember the whole stone retrieval part of the movie putting me to sleep in theaters.
i was alot more excited for infinity virginity war since the stones had wayy more action in it and needed more screentime aswell.
Completely agree 💯👍
Depressed Thor is fine for me, makes sense. He was on the edge of breaking down for all of Infinity War, then failing to save half the universe really hit him hard
the part that doesn't work for me is where his own friends mock his weight. I mean, if you knew a guy that lost his entire family and gained a 100lbs, would you really make fat jokes to his face? Thanos would, but not decent human beings.
@@RationalOrc Rocket definitely would…maybe. Tony, ehhh, I feel like he might rag on Thor for putting on weight. But I can see that, some compassion would be nice
Regarding the Endgame concerns about time travel and the stones:
-Cap lived with Peggy in a new branching timeline, then came back to his native timeline to give Sam the shield. He wasn't main-timeline-Peggy's mystery husband, because the rules of the universe don't work that way, there's no time loops, just branches. By going back, he cause that branch to exist.
-Yes, there's a branch universe where Thanos and company left and never came back.
-The stones were destroyed, but their matter and energy is still in the universe; as opposed to that matter and energy being removed by taking it to another universe/timeline.
i will say, i agree with almost everything with what you said, but what you said about the new thanos was a design choice. thanos had always sat back and had people get the stones for them. when it failed and the gauntlet was designed, then he went after them

That. Right there. That's my biggest gripe about engame.
I get that the avengers compound wasn't in a city and it was in a more rural area, but he nukes the compound, and then BAM. A giant FLAT ASS BATTLEFIELD awaits outside, all the rumbke has been brushed aside too!
🥴💀
“You’ll no what it’s like to LOSE” -THANOS 2018
I felt that Literally 😢
TBH my favorite thing about Infinity War is the fact that the Heroes actually lose for once. Whereas most movies (in general not MCU specifically) they just have difficult moments but still win at the end, but in IW they straight have difficult moments for the entire movie and still lose anyway.
I love almost ALL of your videos bro but this one, ehhhh, idk, I never had a problem with end game and always looked at the two as a package deal. I always felt the “ time heist” thing led by Ant Man was very cool and exciting and never slowed down at all in fact I thought it was very fast paced and kept me on my toes with all the jumping around. I do definitely agree with some things your saying like with the stones being destroyed by Thanos why wouldn’t that have completely screwed everything up with well everything!!! That’s what they told us would happen. Maybe they looked at it as a natural way of evolving(used for a purpose then destroyed, idk) & agree having Hulk snap after getting the gauntlet back would’ve been cool but if thanks got it back he would’ve snapped again so there definitely was something at risk. The Thor stuff didn’t bother me. I thought it was cool and funny and definitely wasn’t a total joke as he was able to fight in the end but didn’t have his full power back. Joel’s never bother me except when in the middle of battle so some of those should’ve been cut.
The fact that infinity war had so many characters doing separate things and it all flows perfectly is just amazing
Hey Tex, can you do a versus video comparing Batman v Superman to Captain America Civil war and Man of Steel to Iron Man? Please
So when they undid the blip, what happened to all the people that were in planes at the time, or in a building that got tore down.
11:24 -pretty much correct although you could say Cap used the device to travel back to the original timeline but yes the time travel rules are pretty flimsy
-the newly created timeline gets deleted when the infinity stone gets brought back as explained earlier in the film (also see the Loki series)
-Thanos did not destroy the infinity stones completely, he made them unusable by essentially disassembling them. He literally said they were “reduced to atoms”
11:57 thats a different steve rodgers, but old steve rodgers still went through the same experiences as the young one that left this time line. Proven by Kang and the TVA in the Loki series. And there is a universe missing thanos and his army now, but before the events of loki, this universe is supposed to exist; probably the reason for the infinity loop to exist.
You know what I’m gonna list my CB movies and Tex you should make a video on your Top 10 CBM’s. I’m just gonna do 5:
5. Civil War
4. Man of Steel
3. Logan
2. Infinity War
1. Snyder Cut
There's a really great video by Keane The Bean that explains why the Russo movies had to use this grey filter over it.
