After years of arguing whether or not it even existed Zack Snyder's Justice League released on HBO Max and other streaming services and the Snyder Cut didn't disappoint. Here is my review. Spoilers.
Easily one of Zack Snyder's best films and one of the DC movies. personally I'll put it in my top 5 favorite comic book movies of all time. - Zábava

Nah, keep it. It's gonna become a rare artifact in cinema history and probably worth a fortune in the future. The Man Thing movie Fox made back in 2005 is insanely expensive if you can find a blu ray/steelbook version, and that film was shit as well.

@Radical Larry I thought he was much better here. He was SIGNIFICANTLY toned down, and actually seems like a threat to Batfleck, rather than George Clooney's nemesis. I will admit he still sounds a bit like Jim Carrey, but this time he didn't go full Ace Ventura and call Bruce a *"Handsome HUNKA HUNKA"* so I can look past it.
@@chrisgreig98 some of his mannerisms also felt a little bit like Heath Ledger: for example when he says "I'll be the bigger man" he shakes his head a lot like how Heath did. Idk if that's intentional or not, but it really works, and those small little details vastly improve Leto's performance.
He never it messed up, it was WB screwing up with everything that was already perfectly executed, just because they wanted to it look like MCU. They literally made Joker from one of the major character in Suicide squad , to a weird cameo.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing Suicide Squad fixed. The movie was actually pretty good before the team met. That's when I feel it went downhill.

It was really cool that, despite being the most OP in the team, there was nothing Superman could do to stop the unity..and then when Barry raises his hand to enter the Speed Force, man...when the music comes in, it feels overwhelmingly amazingly epic..

The movie hinted at Lois being important even thought she did absolutely nothing other than the fact that she was mourning over Superman’s death and they could have had Martain Manhunter did more in the movie as well but he literally appear as in the General and Superman’s mother then to talk to Batman saying “oh I will help more around”.There was too much slow moments scenes and too much slow musical montage too the point where I just felt like “could you just hurry this up”(bad pacing) same way Rex felt about AAOA

Hey Tex! Actually, last scene which included Martian Manhunter, originally shot as Green Lantern (John Stewart) talking to Bruce Wayne. At the very very last moment, they replaced Green Lantern with MM because WB didn't allow GL to show up.

Personally I had no issue with the CGI. I was concerned regarding the Knightmare when the leaks happened, but I was really satisfied throughout the movie ! Great review Tex
My favorite part had to be when Barry turning back time to jump start cyborg.. That little speech he gave literally had me in tears.. And the score at that moment was beautiful

I love Marvel movies too, but there are at least 15-18 mediocre movies. They get a pass, just as mediocre episodes of a tv series gets a pass, because its leading to something bigger. DC doesn't have a bunch of movies, so they get nitpicks and scrutinized to hell. If they let Zack finish is arc, people would have seen it was leading somewhere. There was a plan, unlike Disney Star Wars.

@@nexusshark In terms of the 2017 version coming out and Aquaman coming out, yes they're "canon" with each other. But the Snyder Cut seta it up better. The only things that don't work are Mera's accent, and some of the different designs for characters and objects. King Atlan's armor and trident look completely different in both films. The air bubble on water also doesn't work, but that's in both version of JL.
So, while 2017 version is "canon", Zack Snyder's version is what was supposed to come out, and was the version that James Wan was working with when making Aquaman (until of course the Joss Whedon stuff. But considering both James Wan and Jason Momoa have said the Snyder Cut is the film that goes with or leads into Aquaman, I'm just going with that.
Too bad warner media head already said there isn't going to be sequels, and no ayer cut, but at&t and hbo max could still do it 🙏

I’m a person who saw the 2017 version but didn’t remember anything about it so this was a brand new movie to me and I absolutely loved it one of my favorite comic book movies
Justice League 2017 feels like the first draft of a story, lots of issues, crammed, concepts not thought out, etc. Whereas the Snyder Cut feels like a well thought out end product that has had lots of thought and revision put into it.
best scene in the dceu is the end of the finale battle, with flash avoiding the explosion. the acting, cgi, score, and stakes were all fantastic. arguably a top ten comic book movie scene.
At first I didn't think I could watch the entire movie in one shot. I have since watched the movie 3 times and it is fucking glorious everytime!
The best part was when Barry grabbed the hot dog before Iris.

Finally someone called out that music that ALWAYS plays when WW steps into the scene! I almost expected a scene of her doing normal everyday things, like taking a shower, brushing her teeth, and shopping while that track plays in the background.
I'll say almost every other scenes made by Zack Synder is astonishingly amazing. I'm not going to lie to you.
I’m so happy that finally DC is slowly being done justice with each movie. And I’ve gone from not liking Zack Snyders DC to now rewatching them and liking them more and more. I feel like I did about DC when I was little and... I like it

It’s really close and both of them are up there as the best superhero movies ever made, but winter soldier has less problems and is overall a more solid movie. Same for infinity war and the dark knight, but endgame is damn close.

How I would reduce the runtime:
1. Minimize the slo-mo moments (I would still the have big moment where the team charges to Steppy's base). Keep them for characters with superhuman speed/reflexes (so Flash, WW, and Supes) but don't overdo it with those characters.
2. Trim down some scenes that I felt lasted a bit too long such as the reveal of Lex's escape. Ending the scene after the other patient in his cell turns around was pretty satisfying in the theatrical version. Also the scene where the village women sing to Aquaman could have been redone.
Minor nitpicks:
1. Maybe that WW theme everyone is talking about should not have been included.
2. It will take some getting use to Darkseid having pupils. Maybe it is because I am used to how he looks in other appearances.
3. I read another comment that said Batman's voice was inconsistent at times and I caught that too on a second viewing.
Favorite scene: Steppenwolf's fight with the Amazons. His first appearance shows just how big of a threat he is. You see a dozen or more Amazons physically bring him down as the queen escapes with the Mother Box and after the chamber that held the Box falls into the sea, he leaps out of the water with ease. Plus the part where he uses his armor to break off the arrows that were in him was a "holy shit" moment for me.
And don't throw out your copy of Josstice League. Sell it!
I never thought I would live to see this day come. Comes to show that everything is possible with a little faith. Thank you for everything, Zack, we will all join you in the Sun.
Also, that final scene with Flash, I have no words to describe it other than maximum feels and nerdgasm. Even my wife, who is not the biggest comic book fan, was tearing up a little. Such a great scene.

I just wanted to touch on a couple things in your review. When you mentioned that the individual interactions within the Amazon temple could probably be cut out to trim things up, I mostly agree with you - but I still love those little moments, because they make the sacrifice the queen makes minutes later a little more impactful, both for us and for her personally. Plus you see the Amazon who gets shot later on in the Darkseid War flashback Diana narrates! That was a really cool little detail, and it again drove home the queen's sacrifice; she just had to give up a sister she's served alongside with for thousands of years, one that took on Darkseid with her and won! They totally could have cut the queen's weird wall-run slice though, that was a tad awkward.
I also wanted to say that I actually really loved the slow-mo as she was running from the temple - it made me feel like I was stuck in a nightmare, one where no matter how fast I run I seem to be moving in slow-mo. I don't know if that was the intention or not, but damn it gave me chills, especially knowing that her sacrifice is ultimately meaningless just a few minutes later.

If Warner doesn't want to make money, sure, cast away Snyderverse. But if they want DCEU to succeed, Zack Snyder is the best way to achieve it. He has a vision, plan and knows what fans want.
Zack Snyder's Justice League is a masterpiece. I really love everything in the film, especially, when you take in consideration, it's a starting point. All the characters were able to breathe and you had good, engaging storytelling throughout the film.

old video, but i actually liked that the queen of the amazons called her warriors by name. it made me feel like she cared about them enough to get to know them, and every death felt like a blow to her and the audience. she was not just losing soldiers, she was losing women she had known for possibly thousands of years.

I really liked this movie. The wait was more than worth it. I pretty much have the same complaints but they are very minor compared to the bigger picture. Great movie.
Everything this guy said in his review, MINUS THE COMPLAINTS. Serious, this movie is PERFECT. Especially on my shelf, because I just got my Snyder Trilogy Box Set pre-order from Amazon. Whatta sweet dream I had years ago when I wondered what could've been, after seeing the disappointment of the terd that was dropped by WB's into theaters. I consider this the second dream fulfilled, the first being the release of the Richard Donner Cut of Superman II.
Something I noticed one of the cover (thumbnail basically) is that green lantern or martian manhunter makes it balanced 3 in front and 4 behind.
The flash's jokes and wonder woman' theme are my only complaints. Amazing and engaging movie.
The Snyder Cut was absolutely phenomenal. 10/10 for me. My new favorite comic book movie.
The part I would have cut down is the slavic song in the aquaman intro, I wouldn’t have even thought about it if the scene changed when aquaman left, or even when Batman did, but the song just kept going, had no translation, and was off key (still adored the movie tho)

The Snyderverse has always been about redemption. Redemption for the wrongs of the past. Zack had an arc for these heroes to be better than they currently are, but they have to go through the worst of times before being the opportunistic beings that you've know them as in the comics.

Zack has gone on record to say that when WB made notes that he should lessen how much slo-mo is in the movie...

People never understood that Zack Snyder broke the typical campy formula, and gave us something different. Superman was on his way to becoming the superman we know, he was moody in Bvs, because he was constantly being monitored, questioned and scrutinized, it would make anyone depressed. Cancelling the snyderverse was the biggest loss ever.

I don’t like Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen. The jokes still don’t work and he comes off as really irritating
HOWEVER the “gotta break the rules Barry and you gotta do it now” scene is one of the coolest scenes in a superhero movie
I loved it. They could have tightened it up to a 3:20-25 movie. I was surprised by all the slowmo, because there wasn't much of that in MOS and BvS. But, I get that Snyder was trying to make it feel big and letting the audience sit with an image to admire its beauty. The WW song didn't bother me the second and third time.
the opening of this video makes me want to challenge Anthony Joshua to a street fight 😂 man where do we start The fleshed out Character arc of Cyborg was such a privilege to explore alongside a proper purpose and motivation for steppenwolf and flash saving the world and the Justice League was one of my favorite moments in watching film, the whole movie is a treat for fans and i think its also easy for first-time audiences of the universe to engage with and that Junkie XL soundtrack is Glorious
