Ahh that sucks, mine has been going strong for the 2nd winter now. Even powering thru “icy basketball sized snow balls” that the snow plow a’hole left in front of our driveway! Of course I tried to do one side and take chunks off as much as possible as I wouldn’t dare take it all head on even with its gas brother…hope the fix is easy
I used mine for the first time today and it started making this same sound after a few minutes. Sometime after I finished using it the sound stopped. Really hard to tell what's going on.
Sounds like it's a piece of garbage. I have a Toro Powerclear 721e (gasoline) thats 8 years old. It handles snow a foot deep and never fails to start. I'll never buy into the electric crap.
They have a 60v version of the Power Clear now. I also have a gas Power Clear, but for my needs, the electric would be a much quieter user experience. But you are right- a gas snowblower is just more powerful.
The battery is fine, I can clear 4 driveways on a charge. I should have mentioned the issue is actually a bent auger. I must have hit some ice, which bent the auger and Toro won’t cover the repair under warranty. It’s a common issue with this snow blower, auger isn’t built strong enough to handle anything more than fresh powder.
Wow. I am surprised and disappointed Toro would not cover. It is interesting to note that if you head over to the Toro site, they are releasing a newer version of battery powered snow blower aimed at commercial users. This new unit will come with (dual) batteries, much like the Ego..and , will not have the metal auger but it instead what looks like a rubber or composite material.
@@michaelthomas2746 Unlike the Ego the Toro will run on one battery. This blower is just for light duty stuff. The blower you mentioned is just like the gas power clear.
@@LL-mt2nz Sounds like you may have had a rock get in "there" and then shoot out. Mine did the same thing, the inner black plastic compartment that is just before the exit chute is too close to the auger. If you look at the back where this is attached, there are pieces of tubing that do not and are made to not connect to each other. I removed the screws that held that tight and bent them a little bit towards the back of the unit then tightened things back up. The noise is now gone. That particular aspect of the build is flawed... but so far for me, the 60v Toro works great.
@@whitebeard56 I believe that this problem is what is causing the issue with my machine. Could you please post a picture or a short video on your CZcams channel to show where these tubes are located? I noticed that when I pull back on the chute, the vibrations go away.
It's a chunk of ice. It's happened with mine. Nothing wrong with the Toro 60V snowblower. It's a great machine.
Sounds like a bent auger. Pretty common damage on any kind of snow thrower/blower.
Same as mine. Bent auger. I’m trying to figure out how to take it out and replace it
Never had a problem with mines for 3 winters now ☝🏽

It's thermotransfuctioner is a few thousands off. It's a Quick fix 👩🔧
Same problem. Hit a chunk of ice and now auger out of alignment. May be adjustable or fixable. Very disappointing though. Must agree.
These are great little machines don’t listen
Look at the auger. Something is stuck and hitting the shroud
Going to need more information than that
The roller is bent ,it happens if you hit it with the concrete sidewalk edges
My wife just hit sidewalk and ours is now doing this. Is this easy to fix?
Try to balance ut by hand , remove the battery when you do that for safety, if it didnt work try to order the new part @kyliejo72909
It happened to me, too. Hope it goes away
Somebody dropped a diesel engine in it.
Mine is doing the same thing and it's not ice.
Why not , it sounds cool
Add 3 ounces of Pepto Bismol to one gallon of your 50/1 fuel oil mix ..

😮
It’s a bad motor. Mine just did the same thing.
Well duh

I would love to see all of your gas powered drills and circular saw when you have time. Dumas.
@ScoobyFermentation you probably want to see homos naked too.

Gas lit house. Or candles?
Melt the ice buddy 💩🤣💩
Ice
Almost like storing a battery tool in the cold is bad for it, hmm.
