    After you giving the patient the call,shouldn't you have worn gloves to carry te tray with the specimen?

      No need, it's not a Sterile ANTT technique, just use Universal Precautions, James ICU NURSE.

    Can you please confirm, when transferring the urine to specimen bottle, I was told that the syringe must not touch the specimen bottle

      That's correct, because if you have a real urine to transfer to the bottle -- it will spill over.

    How do I know if the sample port is needless or need the use of needle?

      There's quite a lot of sample in Google Images/Royal Marsden too. If you search for needless urinary catheter and injection port urinary catheter -- it should give you varieties of photos.
