    If it is in a hospital setting, do you need to do second id check?

      All medication administration station, you always have to do 2nd ID check.

    Why need to read all medication?

      It's a best practice to read all your prescription charts as part of medication safety. Any medication not due your time, you can just read the drug name and indicate if it's not due your time then move to the next prescription. What you have to completely read out is the medication due your time.
