    Best Times to Go
If you're looking for the hottest and the busiest, then July and August are definitely for you. For less crowded times, I recommend May or June, or September and even October, which is still pretty hot, averaging mid to high 20s and even low 30s.
    Best Areas to Stay
Kos Town: Where everything comes together.
Lambi Beach is about half a mile away.
Tigaki: Best for families with calm shallow waters, and kid-friendly activities.
Marmari: Quiet and a 20-minute drive from Tigaki.
Mastichiari and Psalidi: For surfing and water sports.
    Kefelos: For budget-conscious travellers.
Kardamina: Known for its nightlife and one of the best beaches.
Ayos Fokas, Asfendio and Lagoudi Zia: For a relaxing time.

    Getting to/from the Airport
Taxis are available at the airport, but they are metered. Pre-booking is recommended for a fixed price. I rsuggest:

Excursions and Boat Trips: Popular trips include the Three Island day cruise (Pserimos, Kalimnos, and Plati) and a trip to the island of Nisiros.
Food and Drink Experiences- Wine tastings, dinner experiences, cooking classes, olive oil and honey tasting.
Historical and Archaeological Tours: Visit the Asclepion and the Nerantzia Castle.
Adventurous Activities: Horse riding on the beach, beginner scuba diving, jeep safaris, and hiking trails.
