#spacestation14 #ss14 - Hry
violet is used when theres specifically zombies so that everyone can know its zombies and not like, an incredibly robust tot going on a rampage or something
I feel like red alert and simply dropping an announcement that says zombies gives more instruction than just violet. Security has to kill the infected it won't just go away with medical intervention
Unless that medical intervention is high velocity lead injections and full body cauterization.
I can’t wait for violet to mean more than just zombies
Beat me to it; violet alert = zombies in my experience.
@@Liltenheadby that logic you can just violet and make an announcement. violet specifically makes it way easier for latejoiners which is why i prefer it.
Green: everything is fine
Blue: things are not fine
Red: THINGS ARE VERY NOT FINE
Delta: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Yellow: SINGULOOSE
Violet: ZOMBIES
Gamma: WHAT IS GOING ON!
Epsilon: Everyone is fired, effective immediately
I've seen some epsilon admemes but that's usually real late at night on lizard
I'm learning through this comment section that admins use epsilon alot more than I knew lol
I've seen the epsilon equivalent in SS13 (Usually just a CC announcement, rather than an actually implemented alert level) several times without anyone being in trouble, sometimes the station absolutely losing its mind and revolting against CC isn't necessarily command failing to RP as sufficiently servile staff, sometimes it's directly prompted by CC bullshitery, and once it was even a "Corporate Buyout" where one particularly dedicated(insane?) set of syndicate agents had managed to get together nearly five million credits to "Buy" the station. God this game is insane sometimes.
when you hear epsilon you know shits bad
And i think epsilon is a reference to half life 1 "We've got hostiles" chapter
The only time ive seen epsilon was when the Captain played chess against Nukies to determine if they destroy the station or destroy themselves. Captain even won. Nukies killed themselves. 10sec after Epsilon was announced.
Most common occurrence for epsilon is zombies, usually if the zombie pandemic has wiped out ~80% of crew and all of command is dead than you get epsilon and even if you make it back there's a kill team waiting at Central to basically go through the shuttle and kill any and everything still "alive"
I've only seen epsilon once and it wasnt for ban reasons, if was for a zombie outbreak that got out of control VERY quickly. Centcom sent in a death squad to 'contain the outbreak' and all contracts were considered terminated because they operated under the assumption that everyone was infected. Ao, Epsilon can be used for RP reasons.
Once I almost managed to call Epsilon as a lone syndicate operative. Stole most of head's stamps as an engineer, and sent a paper with death threats to CentCom. That was on a server with CentCom fully implemented as playable roles. Operator that recieved my letter and read it, immediatly called back their inspector by shouting into radio and then decided to send an ERT instead. But after interrogation of the heads, blob happened, and everyone died :(
So this ain't ss14 you talking about huh
bro is going thru the basics
Indeed!
Yeah, and this pretty cool tbh
@@SimpleGamer3333 Yeah, I like seeing how the game is meant to be played, not just how I interpret it to be played.
So, to sum it up from what experience I've had:
Green - Nothing's gone wrong. *Yet*.
Blue - Something's going wrong, but whoever's doing it is being inconspicious.
Red - Something's going wrong, and whoever's doing it is being the opposite of inconspicious.
Yellow - Something's going wrong and it's causing structural damage to the station.
Violet - There are zombies afoot. At a later date, this may also indicate that there are dangerous diseases about, but those don't exist yet.
Delta - There are Nukies, and they've set up us a bomb. Run.
Gamma - Like Red, but rarer.
Epsilon - Someone fucked up real badly and the Deathsquad's about to make all remaining crew members pay for it.
I assumed Gamma is:
“Something is wrong! We have absolutely no idea what it is, but *SOMETHING* is VERY wrong!”
I don't know if it's a holdover from SS13 or what but the sound of the alert levels are SO GOOD. Especially when you get to Epsilon and Gamma and it's clear that this is not your average emergency. Gamma sounds like a space whale or something, it's haunting.
Epsilon is fantastic
i only seen Epsilon being activated ONCE and it was on ss13, command where breaking all the roleplay rules and ignoring the space law, the crew where doing a non-rev revolution to get rid of command, security had become basically traitors with extra gear
as an assistant, the only thing i could do was to try and flee the station, only to be caught by a Death Squad member and executed
shit was intense
So that’s what epsilon alert is from, remember hearing it in a cool song, thanks!
He's running out of things to explain i know it.
Anyways. Love the vids!❤
On some servers, there's White alert which is all about glimmer. When the Glimmer is low, reality is stable because Epi makes sure that all anomalies and physics are under control. The high the glimmer, the more likely that there are physics on the station using their powers too much. When it gets too high, code white occurs when reality is ripping because of the high glimmer, causing ghostly enemies to spawn, the revenants. To lower glimmer, physics must be either be golumized or medicated to remove their powers. Worse case is the physic prober in Epi has to be destroyed since they tend to over-load and people have to evacuate because of the whole mess it makes.
Thanks for all the basics! Even though I have almost 100 hours (I know, rookie numbers) I didnt know that there are so many alerts and the reasons behind using them
I got a request to be searched on green before, but I denied it because I was a musician playing music and didn't want to stop to be searched. Sec detained me and dragged me into sec to be searched. I then stole the lawyer's job and sued sec, I had paperwork and everything. The court was boring as hell though because the HOS did not say anything that made any sense, even the HOP, who was the judge, had no idea what point they were trying to make. Luckily the warden made sense and I had a little fun debating with them.
YESSSS IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!
its nice someone is explaining stuff for new people
I've just been in a code gamma as a dead HoP, Nukies killed nearly all of the station, and basically in Delta-V, I'm not from Wizden anymore, but it's basically martial law at that point
I saw an epsilon alert during a rev, the deathsquad had for goal to eliminate the three headrevs. Seemed more like an ERT goal to me but it was fun. These purple light are scary as frick and I merely saw a glimpse of a deathsquad member, a blue light pulsing, before running away...
It was a fun final boss for revs I guess, when they win too fast
Hearing the admin codes again gave me shivers, don't hear them in CD at all just cause nothing that bad happens, but on mander, being HoS during gamma is a real "Oh God oh s---" moment
in my 2 years of plays space station 14 i have never heard epsilon ever go off but i have seen deathsquad a few times for some roleplay moments
I've changed the alert level on the computer approximately 20 times. I've never played anything above entry level (I have < 25 hours in the entire game), and I never play as an antag character. Only play on Wizard West. Pretty interesting stories as to how I managed to make that happen. Most of the time right in front of the captain and head crew, lol.
I've only seen epsilon once, if I recall correctly someone in command found some telecrystals and kept it for personal use which NT didn't take kindly to.
I assumed epsilon was for RP reasons, didn't know it was due to rulebreaking.
My favourite alert is Epsilon, because I know that it means someone(s) is getting banned
Green - Time for a greenshift!
Blue - Huh... this is fine.
Red - Things are very much NOT fine.
Yellow - I should probably be worried.
Violet - * Project Zomboid music intensifies *
Gamma - Things are most definitely fucked.
Delta - Hello Cargonians, Nothing personal but I will be promptly hijacking your ship. good day!
Epsilon - Well shit.
Love it. I miss viral outbreaks.... when will we return to monke T_T
unless you're part of an exclusive club (or the server has less than 15 concurrent player through some sort of miracle), you'll basically only experience 2 alert levels and maybe one or two flavors of said 2 alert levels.
Gamma and Epsilon are quite terrifying to hear, and uh… look, I’ve heard Gamma like 3 times in-game, and that was when shit was *rrreeeaalll* bad. Epsilon? Only once. Never again.
Back before revolutionaries was removed I experienced on-duty admins setting the station's alert level to Epsilon prior to deploying an ERT/Deathsquad team as a response to most or all heads of command being killed or held prisoner (and the revolutionaries usually also delaying the shuttle).
As for Violet; I know everyone has already said it but it's just a Romerol outbreak. Until virology is reimplimented, if ever. Is it meta? Sorta?? But it's more specific than Red, and I think that's a good thing. The announcment states crew should stay distanced which is absolutely crucial to surviving a zombie outbreak; and the open-endedness of "...perform safety measures to prevent further spread." can insinuate everything from barricading medical to pump out vaccines to security handing out lethals loaded with incendiary munitions (maybe a bit excessive).
As a footnote: I don't see enough people requesting search warrants on green when specific individuals are suspect. It's always straight to Blue so anybody who might fail a search is going to hide their contraband anyway... Go ask your warden for a warrant! They'd love to write one for you. : )
Yeah alerts are metad super hard. People just flip to blue instantly so they can search whoever. And violet only meaning zombies is interesting too.
I remember on round 30,000 on wizden (I think on salamander) a deathsquad got pulled in. I actually got to be one of em. Killed a few lads before running out of ammo and getting pushed over and robusted by one of the few survivors. Fun times.
i had forgotten about the diseases, i miss the mokey chaos
Fuck that, I'll give shitsec the biggest hassle if they attempt to search me on green!
Can you go over some of the new chem recipes? Im not sure exactly how much has changed or if its server specific but I went to make space lube for the clown and it was usually oxygen-silicon-water 1-1-1 etc, but it dident work, so I asked the other chem and he was saying something about it needed sulfasilicate (thats not what it was exactly but it was something-silicate) and im like a base level knowledge chem and that threw me for a huge loop and I mostly rely on your videos for all the fun chem stuff :(
Digging these basics videos. I have close to 500 hours in-game and I still never learned some things the proper way.
I see violet alert used for zombies all the time.
Yeah I guess that is an infection, but it doesn't guide security what to do, and red alert telling people to shelter in place covers the not spreading infection part of violet.
more guides)!
hopefully the heads will no longer set red alert to call the shuttle on teslaloose/singuloose as if they're going to shoot it down with firearms
we got epsilon cus theres two(3 eswords and a captain saber) dual wielding esword super drugged on meth syndicate murdering 80% of the crew. They manage to kill 2 death squad operatives. granted they also took the ERT command armor but still.
waiting for the day until epsilon alert appears on one of the wizden rounds…
I've seen it a few times and I only have 50 or so hours
I've seen it a couple times on Lizard/Leviathan, the first time being a round where the nukies chose to challenge the station to a trial by boxing (and lost).
Can you do a video on drafting in papers? The guidebooks and wikis aren't detailed enough. I, for the life of me, can't figure out how to add spacing between paragraphs and other basic formatting.
I'm sure you have plenty of video ideas but I would appreciate a emote guide are some sort of video explaining what different emotes have effects or just some simple ways to type in emotes as I see everyone doing them so quickly
to avoid use of internet speak, certain word abbreviations get changed into their full meaning/an emote (ex. typing “lol” is the same as typing @laughs, “idk” turns into @shrugs etc.)
czcams.com/video/_UL6lv_HY48/video.html Covers keybinds
@@somerandomserbian7077 smh becomes "looks unimpressed"
Frankly, that kinda makes the "don't use internet speak" rule extra annoying, since it actively covers up a pretty useful feature.
Ive seen yellow used for powersinks and it kind of fits
I used to be the one who trolled entire station with communication console, switching alert levels for fun
In Russian servers I see Gamma code A LOT. It usually activates when nukies arrive and sec is kinda dead, sometimes for zombies.
You should do admin commands next will be very useful to people!!!
are you planning on more videos about frontier? like guides or smth?
I helped a detective blow himself up with water and potassium injections once as CMO and the station instantly got called to blue
Hey man, what is the command for changing codes inside private servers?
Ik the nuke is "Nukearm" but what about stuff like code epsilon?
setalert
@@Liltenhead thanks!
this video should be mandatory for all sec and they should be forced to watch it five times a week
have you ever seen an Epsilon?
Yeah
forgot vermillon alert ;)
Whatre the admin commands to set these codes?

hi
My second round on HoP. 🤗
I am the Syndicate Traitor.😍
Capitan falls into SSD.🤔
"You are the Captain now"😮
Admin pop-ups with "Do you want to have some fun?" 💀
Threat level is now [REDACTED]🤡
Hop can't roll traitor, this is fake.
@@Blackern5000 that was on russian ss14 server. I think that's the special server rules or someone's mistake. So I agree that HoP must have a "mindshield" by default... cause having card console and all access is legally cheating. ))
Why are there so many features removed like viruses, PDA functions and location damage?
Some are considered unfun (viruses) and might happen if someone finds an interesting way to implement them, some are just waiting to be implemented (PDA functions maybe?)
@@salem-salem4426 locational damage can be done on where you click on the character and diceroll for it
Also its only the "main" fork he usually covers. There may or may not be servers out there that have viruses.
viruses: removed because the code for it was bad or something?
pda functions: nobody's done it yet
location damage: in a week
>doesn’t mention brown alert
All hard working Jani know what this means…
lmao
Eh at this point new players can just read /tg/'s wiki and learn way faster
We don't operate the same way TG does though
@@Liltenhead You do, because I could join ss14 right now without knowing anything about it, and know exactly what an alert level is, and many other things that have been copied over.
@@mrteco4236 i will read /tg/ wiki to do wizden chem
Day 102 of asking Liltenhead to unban me in his comments
