In July 2022 Waterway Recovery Group (WRG) held three, week-long, Canal Camps at Malswick

The team are concentrating on digging out a section of canal over the higher ground and using the removed subsoil to increase the ground level either side of the new large culvert pipe. Blockwork is also being laid at the new culvert junction chamber.

This is so exciting as I know the canal route very well.A lot of the canal is filled in between Hereford and Ledbury.

Thank you. A lot of it is filled in at the Gloucester end too. Like much of the route between Gloucester and Ledbury, this section at Malswick was replaced by the Ledbury and Gloucester Railway.
