Mercedes is probably making more money from replacement EIS modules than from selling the cars themselves. It's such a common issue on them, it's unbelievable on such a pricetag! Great video, good tip about the hooks inside the centre vents, thanks.
Thank you, glad I was able to help you out.

Hey
There is a nice cheap ($3-5) eis removal tool for ring. Never have to worry about the screwdriver slipping.
Nice!
Educative video, but how does the EIS affect the central locking, is it shorted on the CAN BUS!?

You use origanal key on new ignition switch,or program new key?
programed new key
Whats if the switch cones with the key? @ECUTeamCorp
Hi, is it the same procedure for my 2009 C63? Thanks.
is very similar
How did you get it out of the dash? What is the cut for. I’ve got bloody knuckles from messing around with that thing for an hour. There’s no way it can just slide out of there not sure what you did but it ain’t working
Keep trying, there a certain position that you will need to put your hand and the EIS to remove it. Be very careful.
Nice how to now a différents série of Mercedes

That's what I'm talking about very beautiful video thanks for your time.
What years please?
This is 2012-2014
But how do you reattach the bezel to the ignition switch?
Bezel? I dont understand.
The Rosetta has a thread inside and can be spin on the case of the ignition
No idea why people feel the need to add music to these videos. Makes them almost unwatchable.
Real
Yeah why? It is somehow really annoying@@ECUTeamCorp
How can i Get a DFM signal in a corolla xli 4e-fe 96. Is it the same as ELS(el-Load) need signal to dfm in alternator🥵
Idk man, this is Mercedes video.
8:40 I do not see how you remove the eis. I’ve removed the plastic tube and the wires from the EIS itself and no matter what angle I try it is too large for the hole provided
Watch precisely as we show every single step in the video. In case if you have a hard time email us at sales@ecuteam.com for additional help.
Did you find any way? Having the same problem.
@@ECUTeamCorp you skip the part of the eis coming out from behind the plastic it just swaps from a scene where your hand is squished between plastics to a scene of you holding the eis
Did you have to program the egnition after installing??
For him, yes as it was a replacement part.
The Eis is not coming out, no matter what as you said push it downwards. No way. What is piece of the metal you removed from the Eis?
There is no Piece of metal in EIS.
@@ECUTeamCorp
I meant the metal bracket behind the Eis.
Anyway, it’s already done. Thank you
What year model is this?
e350 w212 around 2010-2013
@@ECUTeamCorpwhat milage before it broke?
Seems to me you're making access to the EIS too complicated. Did you try simply removing the switch retention ring, ashtray, air control and radio modules to gain access from behind the switch? And yeah, dumping the music and video entry wouldn't hurt either. But yeah, these EIS units, more specifically their surface mounted connector on the circuit card can develop cold solder joints causing intermittent starting problems.
Unfortunately on W212 this is the easiest way to get to the ignition switch. Thank you for putting in extra work to make my videos better, i will take the advice.
Thank you for the video. I waste 2 hours and the eis is not coming out. How did you remove the metal piece at 8:27, is that the one that is holding? I pushed and pushed little down and is not coming out. What is the trick please.
