Joe Budden's music got me through some tough moments in my life. I used to listen to him and say if he can go through all of these issues mentally and still make it, so can I. There was inspiration within his pain. Glad to see him finally getting the recognition he deserves as an artist. Didn't get it as an artist within music, but he's getting it as an artist within podcasting. Respect!!

thats why joe's mom KEEPS trying to tell him she was built different. even from their first story together telling him she was actually middle class by that point and moving out the hood, going to the right hospitals, etc. she had her shit together and wasnt going to fail with this child no matter how hard he fought against it.
she's a therapist and the community helps out one another regardless of income or person

I remember being in the crib. I remember the room and how long I screamed until someone came with a new bottle. Then I fell right back asleep. My grandfather confirmed that there’s no way I would’ve been able to describe the uniform he had on (he’s the one who handed me the bottle) and that he was done with that job before I turned one year old. I never told him this story until I was in my late thirties but it crossed my mind every day as a child and I’ve never forgotten it. My earliest memory. ♥️
