I was riding with Joe as a fan during the Amalgam Digital days I was in the military. Halfway House, Padded Room and Escape Route were dope as well as the mood muzik mixtapes but like he said, at that time sales and billboard meant everything thanks to 50... so me telling my boys how nice Budden was met with "The Pump It Up Dude?"
They will never understand..I bought his debut.. but from 07-15 omg he had a run.. my years maybe off from almost being married but I got back into joe on Mood Muzik Vol 2

I’m glad I caught the tour for it and he seemed at peace with his decision. He put on an amazing show for us and I’m glad I was there before he hung the mic up. He’s one of the most slept on rappers of all time and it’s a travesty. That last album was for his real fans and he emptied the clip. Lyricism, anthem, real talk and life. In my personal top 5. ✊🏽🙌🏽
The last 10min in context with the entire 45min was so moving and emotional for me. His story and many others is resonating deep within all of our creative stories. It's so encouraging to see someone who has broken out of the mold for the sake of being an artist and true to the creative.

WOW!!! Just wow, and thank you both! So inspiring to hear such honesty and candidness, in such an easy, relaxed setting. I also had never really heard of Joe Budden or listened to him (though I probably will start), but I have to say the moment that really hit home for me as a creator myself, was at timestamp 42:39. Jacks' asks the question about Spotify and Joes' answer was so on point, he said, "if it don't feel right, (not about money), if it don't feel right, if it's not good to the soul, I'm not staying". I commend such conviction and appreciate Jack calling out Joes' obvious strong sense of self-worth, which to me at least seems to be the difference-maker.

This is why we love Joe Budden. He is built 4 this. Thats why Rory and Mal can never be on his level. Joe's obstacles is also an important part of his story. He is an underdog that always win. Rory wish he had half of Joe's personality.
I don’t think Rory and Mal want to be on Joe’s level, i think they never liked that joe didn’t take the second Spotify deal, which would have made them millionaires. Everything after that wasn’t a great vibe for them. But this is because of bad communication and a false sense of entitlement.
