silent wake as the day is burning
slip back into my silhouette
I don’t know when the trains are running
get me back home to hide away
sky ablaze in the subtle turning
two way motion in a pirouette
wide awake with a quiet yearning
get me seaside to hide away
time waits for me in a blue reverie
time waits for me in bloom
do you imagine
the illusion calls your name
from a world you can’t embrace
hide away
all the rain that’s falling
that the clouds can not contain
until the embers find the waves
hide away
time waits for me in a blue reverie
time waits for me in bloom
hide away
is wandering the cure
to the quiet annihilation
a trilogy of decades gone
knowing now that I’ll always be searching
silent wake as the day is burning
slip back into my silhouette
I don’t know when the trains are running
get me back home to hide away
hide away
slip back into my silhouette
hide away
do you imagine
the illusion calls your name
from a world you can’t embrace
hide away

0:17 When JT gives the iconic "They're not gonna let me scream for awhile" face.
Why is this so true 😂
I spat out my water when I read this dying laughing
That's not a scream. That's a yell

This is mature music. A little Ghost Atlas, a little Drift, a little self titled. This album is gonna be good.
Mature - that is the perfect way to describe this song. It feels like they are really starting to find that perfect balance of mixing the elements that made each era (lol) of ERRA special. Jesse is mastering his craft as a songwriter (the new Ghost Atlas album really exemplifies this) and it makes me so excited to see what comes next.
Adult music.
ITS NOT A PHASE, MOM!
Absolutely
While I agree, I have to say I prefer their sound from Augment, Drift and Neon most. I thought the guitar work was far more interesting and unique on those albums. The Ghost Atlas sound and ERRA sound have become too similar in my opinion.
I’m also getting some Neon vibes here and there. Perfect blend of everything they’ve done
This song is helping me work through a lot of shit right now. My mom passed away about 3 weeks ago and my dad passed away a little more than 2 years ago. I'm 19. I hope to see Erra live one day. Thank you Erra.
sorry to here about that. Erra has helped me as well. Cancer is rampant in my family. Lost my day at 21 and he was 45 with bone cancer. Lots of love from Erra.
My condolences .I have an idea of what you're going through at the moment. I was 24 when I suddenly lost my mom. That was 3 years ago. Erra had just released shadow autonomous and I had it on repeat for quite a while. 19 is so young to have to deal with that. Why is life so cruel? Ugh!😢
Alex continues to be the most underrated drummer in the genre
he doesn't like to stand out... he kinda have the same height of sleeptoken drummer.... lol
I liked his drumming in the old records.
I’m not a drummer, but I really loved the little extra details he put in during the breakdown bit. They sounded so cool!
FACT. This drum fill at 3:13 , absolutely gorgeous
He really is. He needs his flowers
I didn’t realize how insane the mix is until I put headphones on 🤯
Exactly how i felt when I listened to Cure lol
True
Sooo insane. Crystal clear
It's absolutely ridiculous in a car with a full system, amp, sub, reference speakers etc. The heavy ass breakdown/bridge section is literally pummeling yet so clean. Some of the thickest bass I have ever heard captured like that.
I always used headphone or headset when listening ERRA song :)
Man, a really melodic solo would have been killer in here
Fr I miss Jessie’s solos
a solo on any of these last 3 would've been nice........... :( i just want something melodic. the breakdown in this one was really nice though imo.
Nothing will top the Drift album and Expiate / Unify
@@JoshuaImhof-fv9bbfrostbite had a melodic as shit solo 👍
@@JoshuaImhof-fv9bbYes! Expiate and Unify are also two of my favorites on Neon.
It was like, "hey guys, I have this unreleased song for Ghost Atlas, so let's put a breakdown in it and see what happens." And we love it!
Ghost Atlas + technical riffs and breakdowns= new ERRA, im all for it. The Ghost Atlas album was a 10/10. Honorable mention to Texas In July EP but that's more traditional Metal Core and is pretty different compared to the new ERRA material.
Exactly what I thought
This is the perfect mix between Drift and Dust of the Human Shape, and I love it.
ooooo, very good way to describe it
That guitar solo gives me House of Glass vibes 🤘🏼
Exactly!!!!❤❤❤
Exactly what i thought when I first heard it
For sure I’m still praying for that 80 song 20 track 4 season and ending
Erra does ambience so well it's unreal
It's actually really close to contemporary gospel sounding. Similar atmospheres.
This is a late night drive kinda song ❤️🔥🌙❤️🔥
This
💯
you mean synthwave vibe? try Dayseeker & Dreamwake
@firdauszainudin7118 No, lol this just reminds me of a song you would play on a late night drive
This is one of the best songs they've ever written
Jessie looks great with short hair
Guitar riff at 2:17 has gotta be TOOL inspired! Love it
Have you heard shadow autonomous and pull from the ghost?
Sounds a bit like the house of glass riff. But I do like when they do this kind of stuff
@@pljpmas1623straight up thought it was the House of Glass riff at first
A similar tone to the intro riff in the Tool track Vicarious
Very reminiscent of house of glass lol
This one just checks all the right boxes for me. Ambience. Wonderful cleans. Tool riff. Breakdown. JT bringing the heavy screams. This was a whole ass journey through everything they do well!
Tool riff lol ok
@@Fakewhack-st8fl it’s your world and all us stupid people with our stupid opinions are just living in it
I'm so fucking tired of people calling every goddamn palm muted riff a tool riff, holy fuck
@@electricwizard5747 lmao calm down it’s an opinion about a guitar riff 😂
Absolute Tool riff. It's an Adam Jones B-Side riff and I;'m totally fucking here for it.
"a trilogy of decades gone
knowing now that I'll always be searching"
This sentence made me deeply moved. And this breakdown is breaking my brain.
How do you interpret it? Intuitively, it's a great line, but I'm not sure why.
@@shezz150 30 years gone by, still unsure of your purpose, goals, meaning. The song also hits on 'a world you can't embrace' which to me feels like the digital worlds we have engulfed ourselves in. Social media, video games, entertainment, etc.
It's not real, it all adds a superficial but not tangible meaning.
I could be overthinking it but that's my immediate interpretation given how somber the song feels.
@@GeneralChaz9 hits extra hard when you're in your 30s and finding your purpose seems impossible in an increasingly unstable world where narcissism rules the day.
@@GeneralChaz9 You are pretty much there. The lyrics are talking about yearning for something more in a mundane world full of digital distraction. "Is wandering a cure, to the quiet annihilation" adds to the effect. The line stating trilogy of decades is definitely someone (think Jesse) covering 30 years of life and still searching for something.
I related to these lines intensely.
Who's ready to hit new PRs in the gym to this?
More like take a hot steamy shower after the workout to this!
PR of 25 on bench press.
I’ve just hit a PR on my squats listening to cure
And turns out its a ghost atlas song with a breakdown lmao. i fucking love it already.
that album image from balance and composure ♥
My body didnt know how to react to that breakdown. I was on the edge of my seat; didnt know if I should headband or start a lawnmower or even monkey man. Psssh shit was awesome!
Honestly this tips Erra over the edge to become my all time favourite band. This song sounds innovative and modern yet somehow feels nostalgic and takes me straight back to 2010-2014. Phenomenal
ERRA has definitely been my favorite band since 2012. Bilmuri has been creeping up there though. Everything Johnny Franck writes is amazing as well
same here man… its like every other band does a little bit of everything that I love, but erra has it all wrapped into one song every time. 👌🏼
ERRA is cooking and I love it. This is the most mature sounding ERRA album so far. The production and mixing is so damn good. ERRA self titled was going to be a tough album to follow up on. So far they're killing it and these two songs already are just as good if not better than the self titled material.
3 songs, pale iris is on this album too I believe.
THIS IS IT BOYS. This is the Erra I’ve been waiting for. I’m officially pumped for the album.
Best song in 2024 so far definitely.
You guys are fucking perfect. Always have been. You feed my soul.
Legit omg. A blessing.
What in the SPIRITBOX breakdown was that? I’m here for it. Easily song of the year
Whether it's something insane like Hybrid Earth or Snowblood or something slow and melodic like this or Skyline - Alex knows how to find the groove. S tier drummer.
Happy new ERRA day!
иуууууу
April fifff, here we come!
Haven’t really dove deep on this band yet, but “The Hypnotist” is amazing, and I love this song…
Pretty safe to assume I’ve found a GEM that’s been hidden from me for too long..
Dont forget to check out their album Augment also
@@seandavisman1527 will do!! This their best album (in your opinion)??
@@coryjohnson2486Their self titled album seems to be the most popular. Nigh to silence, snowblood, divisionary, gungrave and eidolon are my favorites off of that one.
I love the drummer dude never ages and just an amazing drummer and artists . Thankyou
Like a fine wine 🍷 Erra just gets better and better with every release! Keep em coming bois! 💪
New ghost atlas and now erra let's go. Jessie is a criminaly incredibly underrated guitarist
One of my favorite guitarists of all time
and texas in july's newest ep is my favorite of last year!
criminaly incredibly indeed
You could easily argue that he’s overrated. One of the most popular in the genre right now. Tbf there’s no one else doing any good right now and that’s the only reason he’s the best.
@@jaakezzz_Gbro what 😭 invent animate, currents, spiritbox, monuments, veil of maya, periphery, and so many more bands do it so well
10/10 will binge this song all week.
So cool to hear this side of Jesse's voice in Erra as well, and a chiller side to Erra, more in the vein of Memory Fiction and Ghost Atlas stuff. Sooo different for them. Feels like they're both heavier and softer than they have before and combining the two on this album. Kind of like IA did with Heavener. Must be that Braunstein touch 🤘
Oh man I love heavener and erra's softer stuff so this song is welcome to me
I thought Landon Tewers produced and co-wrote Heavener? Or was it just Shade Astray?
@@JohnDoe-mv2be right you are, I think Daniel only did mixing/mastering for Heavener
2:17 Sounds so much like the riff from House of Glass and I’m all for it
Pure awesomeness. This song captures a vibe that is hard to explain but at the same time is incredibly good. 🎧🎵
Just finished seeing them in Nashville last night with Make Them Suffer, Void of Vision, and Novelists. Went in totally blind with their music, and they easily gained a fan. This was one of my favorites to see them perform.
Anyone else cry so f*cking hard? 😭😭😭 This one touched my soul. Bravo.
elden ring dlc trailer and new erra in one day🙏
Nice to see a fellow Elden Ring enjoyer here
Oh yes! 🙂Tarnished, are we? 🙂
My thoughts exactly 😂
This is legit what I said to the wife 😂
Just saw them live for the second time and they played this song, such a freaking awesome show!
in toronto? that show was amazing.
@@Hattori_Fujiyama Yep it was amazing.
These guys are phenomenal musicians and songwriters. No bullshit, just consistently great music.
"is wandering the cure
to the quiet annihilation
a trilogy of decades gone
knowing now that I’ll always be searching"
Thank you guys for thinking so well, i can relate to my life experiences and it feels good to see others perspectives of people who went through, felt the same and questioned the same things.
As a person who normally doesn't like this kind of music. This song blew me away, thanks to my friend I love this song.
This group will never steer themseleves or their fan base wrong. Ready for the vibes 🤘
Has a Lil bit of the old vintage Erra in it I'm loving it
Favorite of the 3 easily.
Pure ethereal beauty. Every hair on my body is up
The section from 2:48 - 3:36 is just disgustingly good
One of the most beautiful songs I've ever resonated to!
Best timing ever. This song has literally made me cry off of pure, raw, heartfelt emotion. These guys are awesome. Thanks so much for sharing this with us.
Damn, everything Jessie touches is gold.
bro those guitar tones at 3:05 are just insane. yall are just insane at this point!!
it's bass
@@nixilis5352 and guitar, tf? lol
Yeah that was one of the nuttiest breakdowns they've written
northlane ish
I just mean the bass is pretty dominant in that tone. Normal guitar doesn't sound like that@@burneraccounthandle
That Ghost altas vibe intro❤❤
This might end up being my new favorite Erra album
Perfect chorus to play in my car at full volume this summer and just vibing. Can't wait for the album to drop in april.
This is the ERRA sound I love. JTs screams complimenting Jessie's cleans with riffy then chunky then djenty. love it! Throw some Tool-sounding riffs in there while you are at it. This was a masterclass.
Spiritual opium...
was a bit shocked that this was a single, but after listening to the album on repeat I realized how much of a perfect fit this is
the most beautiful song I've heard in a long time
21 mins ago, official time stamp for my future self.
Erra has never let me down. Been listening since Augment. The way they continue to evolve is incredibly inspiring. Loving this album.
Niceee , I was suggested here while listening to the song “Dupe - Balling” 😅😅
that breakdown have some modern day babylon vibes, I love it
Saw these guys live with ABR, one of the best I’ve seen live
I love this, it makes me feel things. I can tell that it's going to be stuck in my head in no time
I'm CONVINCED these boys cant make a bad fucking song.
I'd like to say that Jesse as out done himself, but I know that I'd be wrong. One word to some this song up is Beautiful. Thank you Erra. Can't wait to hear the new album now.
ERRA never ever disappoints. Solid as a rock in turbulent water.
Man, this song was expertly crafted. Each part has space to breathe and have it's moment. Nothing feels rushed and it all just feels so balanced.
2035 forever in mi heart this group
I love how anchored the music is to the bass. Superb song writing from the ground up.
A few years back, the first track I ever heard from Erra was Skyline. After that their stock just kept on climbing.
Hope they continue growing, become big and start touring with a band like Dream Theater.
Super amped for the new album! 🤘😎
That subtle guitar in the background at 3:19 reminds of oldschool Novelists!
God I’m in love. April 5th can’t come soon enough!!!
That’s for damn sure!
God this is why you're my top artist year after year!
Not the song we deserved but the song we needed
This song is a masterpiece. Melodic and aggressive. Really brings out a ton of emotions for me.
just......perfection
just pre-ordered the vinyl
I feel like Erra is hope for the WORLD
I find the humility this band displays so refreshing. Everyone perfectly balances each other. No one fighting to be heard over another. Internal harmony is next level.
I love this new sound Erra has gone with, especially those Tool-esque riffs. Such freaking good stuff!
I wish i had the time and a friend to go see these guys with on their new tour with novelists.
man.. this is probably my favorite song by ERRA off of the 3 newly released for this album, but also feels like a solid favorite for me in what’s been a very long time. The Ghost Atlas vibes are immaculate here - this feels like the worlds from G.A. and ERRA are merging and if there’s more of this on the upcoming album i’m here for it. 🖤
I love how the guitar is tuned to low that I thought the bass was panned left for a second there lmao
Jesse and the boys in their emotional hard rock era and I’m here for it. Hopefully there’s a good mix of this and heavy on the new record.
Hell yeah this is what i want from erra
Jesse makes some beautiful sounds man. Both vocally and guitar lol
These dudes keep gettin better and better.
Erra has evolved so much and has become so versatile. This is such a focused song with all the boxes checked while still being accessible enough that I can play it around someone that's not really into metalcore/prog.
ERRA just gets better and better...
I can't believe how underrated this band is. What a song!!!
I love how human beings are evolving
Never got into Erra, but this is something I could vibe too, looking forward to future releases
This is the best Erra has sounded. Based on the 3 singles so far, this will easily be my favorite Erra album.
Such a motivational song 😎💪💪🔥🔥
It's an absolute freaking banger. Dementia vibes giving me shivers - super catchy.
Connor's bass look so powerful here 💯💯
I was just about to comment about that! Those licks are tasty
This gives me Northlane Node vibes, and im here for it.
Clicked so damn fast, I've been listening to every Erra album in a playlist on shuffle for the past couple months at work. I'm excited for the new album!
I do it all the time. I just put top songs on shuffle, and it’s so fun to bounce around their albums
I can always tell when a fellow drummer wants to step it up for a song. Hats off to you guys for another banger, and a special shoutout to Alex for some really good writing here.
Saw ERRA live with After
The burial around 2018-2019 I believe in a little bar in Lawrence, KS. Unbelievable talent and sound, will forever be one of my top bands ever
So excited for this album. Even more excited to see them live again in May after that album has fully dropped.
Love it, erra have such a unique sound, it's floaty and ethereal and proggy but heavy AF at the same time.
