Such a beautiful middle finger to the Country establishment! Don't ever change.
amen
This is what I mean when I say that I love country music
I like it .. Feels like I was transported back in time . Song puts me in mind of John Denver and Jim Croce.
Ian has always reminded me of Croce mixed with Prine
Prine.
@@michaeldavison7947 Croce 😉
David Ian Noe… noe?
So proper Country music is alive & well!!! ❤️🤠
Love this old country, from a country fan in England.
There's something about Ian that always hits home. No one else does it for me like Ian Noe.
I represent KY and I approve this message
saw you live at The Grey Eagle last night ... absolutely incredible, my friend. Truly amongst my favorite concerts of my llfetime. Born to sing. Born to paint the story of the human condition. God Bless.
If anyone wants the chords it's in the key of C, capo 1st fret.
Verses:
C, F, C, F, C, G
C, F, Am, C, G, C
Chorus:
F, C, F, G
C, F, Am, C, G, C
Awesome. Nothing to say.
An early song of the year candidate
Stumbled upon this gem by accident in my remote icy Swiss alpine night ... How could I say how deeply touched I am by these fucking beasts of songs and how strong they keep on kicking ass, growing as they are, them buggers ... Well, I guess, just by saying the thing as it is ... Be it that I am too enthusiastic about these songs, but it has been a long time ago since anything boozed me off like that. You like Nick Drake, Townes van Zandt, Jeff Buckley? The bridge to THIS new melancholic feel of deep misty happiness might be narrow, but the fields on the other side are endlessly wide. Try them, you'll be in good company with Mr. Noe's sheep just floating in that Appalachian Haze. Masterpiece! Leaves me breathless after trying to catch just one sheep!!!
Just searching for the buffalo
He’s singing about my home town holler. It’s a great tribute to all of the folks here that still live in the holler an fish over the hill from our house. An singing those songs. Love it. Home is great.

"I’ll never forget the time I called OH on the phone and his producer, Brown Eyes, told me he was out walking his cat and that he would call me back when he came back inside and he did indeed call me back."

Ian good job from Marion Kentucky
My roots are from and still in Beattyville Kentucky, Ian's hometown. He's painted a beautiful picture of that area
O.H. Napier was from Hardshell
Written about oh napier
Took me at least 5 listens to realize that this song is probably wrote about OH Napier. “HERES TO YE DAWG!”
OH was a legend. We lost that Great Entertainer way too early. Always love OH.
