Tigress Meow turns out it was actually a mountain lion *cub* that the guy killed with his bare hands. Still an incredible story, for sure! But that cub fucked the guy up enough before he was able to choke it that it solidified my stance that ain’t nobody surviving a 1v1 with a full grown mountain lion. lol
Tigress Meow - like Kelsey said, that was a cub. A full grown mountain lion is 150 lbs and 8 feet long. Fastest land animal in N.A. They can run 40 to 50 mph. Standing jump clears 12 - 15 ft. Bounding jump at running speed is 40 feet. They have extraordinary eyesight and have a 287 degree field of view. Jaws bites at 1000 PSI - its snaps the spinal cord of bovines in fractions of a second. They are ambush predators - they move within 50 ft of their target. They then close that gap in less than 4 seconds. While attacks on humans are rare, unlike with bears, a standing human resembles a mountain lions natural pray. Attacks are very rare, but if it did occur, a human would not survive. Scaring them off is only option if you cross their path, not if they are ambush predating you.

As someone born and raised on Vancouver Island, I find it hilarious to hear how hellish they're describing it as for Alone. It's like how they make the places in Survivor seem so wild and uninhabitable but people totally live there
I know😂 like it's so chill here and they acting like we are in a rainforest but it's a snow forest and all the trees are made out of cougars and bears.
Also hilarious is that it’s one of the most sought after luxury places to live in Canada

My dog watches TV all the time. If she SEES any animal, they don’t have to make any sound, she freaks out. She is a St Bernard/Retriever mix and weighs around 120 pounds so when she notices an animal on tv I more often than not have to change the channel because she will jumped up at the tv 😂 I can’t cast the podcast because Marbles in on the screen and she wants to play. Animals are so funny! Congrats on bunny!! 🐰
