I had a Runt Weim, my first, he was the smartest dog I've ever had, he was always on guard around my grandkids and always had my back. At seventy I've had many breeds.

Beautiful Dogs, cute for sure, but they need to be challenged mentally and physically daily. They are not toys, these are vibrant, inquisitive high energy companions during their life. My Master hunter dog retired at aged 13 years with a few easy pheasant hunts and had crossed the rainbow bridge 6 months after his 14th birthday. He was a bit deaf and had lost some sight but always a bright light. My female died two years later at 13, deaf as a door mat and unable to remain standing on four legs. They do need human interaction and companionship or will become destructive terrors. Know what you are falling in love with. Looking forward to connecting to another wonder Weimey again in the future.

so many memories evoked for me I chose a runt of the litter he was smaller than the rest but I knew he made his way over to me took him a few moments but" he chose me and I had 18 years with my scooby you have brought back some happy and personnel memories that I shall cherish till the end of my day's he passed about 8 or so years ago but"i miss him everyday not had the heart to get another to painful thankyou for reminding me what a wonderful breed they are.

We have a runt Vizsla … small in stature BIG in heart .. always looks after the family and protects us .. we’ve had 5 Viszlas .. he’s the most protective and very loving
I’ve had a lot of Weimaraner‘s in my life time. They are my favorite breed of dogs. I actually love the runt of the litters and it’s usually the one I ask for.
Some people think runts are a bad choice of a puppy. But that is not true. Thank you for your comment!

My Weims are both my hunting companions and family pets, and imo, the runt is the absolute best for a hunting dog. I just picked my up newest Weim, she's 9 weeks old and she was the runt. I had first choice female, and it was the easiest decision for me. I'll take the runt every single time.
