Weimaraners make great pets for the families and hunters alike. They are generally friendly and have plenty of energy. The sleek gray color is characteristic of the Weimaraner. They need to be obedient, well exercised and socialized properly. In my training world, socialization is a controlled environment where we can make sure each experience is positive and address concerns immediately. I have a 3 month old Weim and he’s a great puppy when we’re one on one with him, but when we’re at home and my older dog is there ugh! He honestly bullies my older dog. It started as him wanting to play but within a month he’s doubled in size and now he’s towering over my older dog so he throws himself at him. Having a long leash is definitely helping us
