Doesn’t this happen more often? There are often times characters that have several lives or are immortal to begin with. First example that comes to my mind would be Hidan (immortal - he was decapitated but the head can live for itself) or Kakuzu (more alike to Orochi with having several hearts that each count as one death) in Naruto.
And don’t forget dragon ball how often have Son Goku and Krillin now died at this moment? LoL

@@fure745 kaido might not know how orochis df work. Hell even orochi might have no idea. We know that all mythical df comes with an extra ability, that means orochi must have one too. So maybe, for his extra ability to be activated he literally has to beheaded, something i doubt has happened before.

just a random question that came to my mind: why doesn't he cover himself in haki and blow the shackles up?
Orochi, there's an army of samurai outside the door: this is no time to lose your head.
Good thing he doesn't know about them because it would both a headache and a pain in the neck. Fortunately it would seem that Kaido has taken care of both potential problems in the most permanent fashion. Perhaps this will keep Orochi from getting a big head in the future.

I think a big foreshadowing of how Orochi will truly die is Kinemon's fire attacks, since Hercules used fire to stop the Hydra's heads from regenerating. Also, more importantly:
"Heracles called on his nephew Iolaus for help. His nephew then came upon the idea (possibly inspired by Athena) of using a firebrand to scorch the neck stumps after each decapitation. Heracles cut off each head and Iolaus cauterized the open stumps. Seeing that Heracles was winning the struggle, Hera sent a giant crab to distract him."

The fact that Kanjuro drew headless warriors and he is a Korozumi and Korozumi Orochi looses his head later this was probably a bit of foreshadowing of Oda
Foreshadowing in the same chapter makes no sense, you need at minimum 2-3 chapters to call it foreshadow

It could be intentional foreshadowing, although if it is, it's underwhelming af to foreshadow something like that only a couple panels before the act.

Some funny names for Inurashi's prosthetic I came up with:
The Pug Leg = peg leg + pug
Sheperd-tar = german shepherd + scimitar
Boxer-Cutter = boxer + box cutter
Cutana = Irish for "hound" + katana
Curtana = "cur" as in a dog + katana; and that would give it the same name as the "Sword of Mercy" in the British Regalia
Schearzer = shear + schnauzer
Dalmascus = dalmatian + Damascus steel
Husker = husky + to husk something (like husking corn)
Greatdane = couldn't think of a clever way to combine greatsword and great dane
Basker-Hilt = Hound of the Baskerville + basket hilt swords
The Masteriff Sword = mastiff + The Master Sword (from legend of Zelda)
I like the Cutana
Boxer-Cutter is perfect for this channel, because Tekking is master of such blades.

That does seem to be a common theme of the world government. Their attempts to bring things under their control just end up causing them more issues.
@@lordofcreativity9637 well, they gotta show people how strong they are. So what better way than to purposely drop your guards, make an enemy look more threatening then they are. Swiftly beat them and show them how well they protect the world from dangers.
Essentially turning the entire One Piece planet into a Truman show. Can be pretty effective. I wouldnt be surprised the WG planned on a possible reunion of Kaido and Big Mom after what Luffy did, and decided to give them more reason to attack as soon as possible. Which is clever. I mean, lets be real. Big Mom's crew and Kaido's crew will suck at any team work right now, it could take weeks, if not months to have them working together. So their lack of teamwork will be a weakness that the WG can take advantage off. And it wouldnt surprise me if the WG has very specific people or technology to capture Big Mom and Kaido. Even the "unbeatable" Kaido has been captured a few times.

My prediction for the next chapter:
Big Mom will think that Kaido is trying to double-cross her because Luffy is found "together" with Kaido's "daughter" (because Big Mom doesn't know that Yamato identifies herself as a man). She assumes that Luffy is probably engaged with Yamato and she comes up to the conclusion that the Beast Pirates and the Strawhats are allies and that Kaido is somehow involved in the assassination attempt of her life back at the Tea Party resulting into the dissolution of the allience between Big Mom and Kaido and an all out brawl between their crews on the spot.
Sounds pretty Big Mom'y! Watch as she actually doesn't end up mad cause Kaido and Luffy would supposedly allied with the marriage, but that she lost out on an invitation to taste another wedding cake!

This makes total sense.
In the opening we see big mom, king and queen vs. Luffy, Zoro and Sanji though. We know both Kaido and Big mom want Luffy dead for sure
good theory but I think at this point in the story she just wanted luffy dead and to deal with everything else later. and she knows kaido well enough, being her old crewmate, and knows they have a mutual respect for each other to be honest with their mutual agreement (conquer everything then kill each other), but also knows kaido would never make an alliance with "small fry" pirates.
I mean, I'll be honest "Tornado of 1000 Bones" is a pretty badass move name in any context.

@@LMFAOdudeification It wasn't just decapitation look closely at the image in pages 16-17 where he gets his head cut off and look at his entire body, he has gotten cut in several places, his arm and his torso has a big cut in it too
I think him dying is kinda good as with Kaidos new plan revealed he doesnt really fit it. It was about revenge but its truely beat Kaido or Wano is doomed. Remember the main goal was always to open Wanos borders and not kill Orochi. Having said that he does have an 8headed fruit. And i feel his samurai and ninja will join to fight against Kaido now
I just found out about 10 minutes ago that my grandma died today a few hours after we were at the hospital seeing her. So what I'm doing to try cheering myself up is watching my favorite overactive weeb who I connect with on so many levels rant and rave about a giant dragon man decapitating a short old man who can turn into a many headed dragon monster that Matt makes sound like Denzel Crocker from Fairly Oddparents.

I think new onigashima isn't talking about the island itself. The island was not called onigashima in the old times of wano. Onigashima is a title for the lair of the beast pirates, and instead of living on the outskirts, theyre gonna surmount all of wano, making it their "new" onigashima

I think one of the reasons why Kaido refers to Yamato as his "son", is mostly because like in Asian culture, leaders or heads of families want a male heir, that's why sometimes you see them have mistresses or if they have multiple daughters they have them in an arranged marriage where either her husband marries into the family and becomes the new heir or she herself births one, so I think that's why when Yamato started identifying herself as a male, Kaido went along with it

THIS. I've been trying to tell this to people for the last 2 weeks, Yamato began identifying as man because she took Oden's mantle, but Kaido HATES that, so the reason why he calls Yamato his son is definitely different to her reason of identifying as a man. In fact i think we'll get a Kuina like moment, with Kaido telling her that "women cant never become the strongest, so from now on you are a man to me". She'll probably drop all this this "im a man thing" once she stops impersonating Oden....but until them people will still call her a "he" because of Arthur spreading misinformation unless Oda literally states that she is a woman in all senses

I really think the allied forces are gonna get defeated and need to regroup later in the arc. This way we're gonna see a lot more action of big mom and Kaido.
Well, Wano is based around a kabuki drama structure, thus the acts. In kabuki, the first act is an opening with character intros, second act speeds up and sets up the big tragedy and drama in act 3. Act 4 has big battles and the fifth wraps the story up
That is a distinct possibility. Nice explanation regarding kabuki drama by the way. I really enjoy learning these things. I was wondering for some time if Wano would be a three act or five act play.

Mr. Morj has had this theory for months that the raid will fail and there will be another battle/raid later on. He made a video about this theory, I think like more than a year ago and new evidence for it keeps popping up. Great theory imo, you should look into it
Looking at the panel of Kiku's sword, we see a liquid dripping off of it. Some could say it's blood, but what if it's paint?
Remember, Kanjuro can make perfect duplicates of himself. I highly doubt he would be foolish enough to face the other Scabbards in the flesh.

Theory:
I think Shanks was testing Whitebeards strength and reported back to the world government that he was no threat. I also think Yamato asked Kaido that if he rescued Ace she would listen to him. Kaido went to rescue Ace and Shanks got in the way. He was the gate keeper of the entire war.
I think towards the end of the Wano Arc we're going to find out that Shanks stopped Kaido from rescuing Ace.

I can't believe I actually predicted that Kaido's new project was a construction project in the middle of Wano.
A theory that I’ve been thinking about recently that relatively fits is that Kaido in the past was ashamed to have a daughter instead of a son so Kaido gave Yamato a more masculine name and only referred to her as his son throughout Yamato’s life as a sort of punishment for being born a girl. Basically like Kaido shaping Yamato’s life to be a man because he wanted a son to help him rule but was given a daughter instead. And that could be why Yamato identifies as Oden and a man. Basically being raised as a son rather than a daughter

1.having more lives is the thing that made orochi more paranoid my guess is he died before 1 time after he got the devil fruit way before Kaido killing him and he is scared because death hurts so much.
2.transfering the (weapon thingy) to the flower capital is easy because trafalgar law is in Wano meaning Kaido will capture him and uses Law devil fruit to transfer all the Stuff in one swoop.
