Too bad they made a mistake on the twizzles because this was a super complex and detailed program. They skated with incredible speed and precision and should have gotten a higher score even with the mistake.

@12stel - Tessa has said that Scott takes the lead in making sure they get the most points in fulfilling the elements and Tessa takes the lead in the artistic side of expressing their movements. That balance, as well as the innate chemistry between them, makes them a successful duo.
@12stel - I agree and I'm aware of how important and key Scott's role is in their performances. At the same time, I recognize that Tessa's contribution is just as important. I love them both. She (they) has had 10 years since then to improve, which she has (they both have), so I don't know how you can say that he purposely took the back seat in later years, because ten years is a good amount of time for her to "catch up". Personally, I've always felt like they were equals. I honestly don't see a difference in their level of skill or artistry, but so many people in these comments have said that he's better than her, so 🤷🏻♀️ Also, she had surgery on her legs in 2008, so she could have been in pain at this point which would affect her skating.

she just became as good of a skater as he was i guess. its true that in the beginning he was more skilled but that evened out pretty quickly
