- In this episode I'm going to talk about my decision to buy classic cars instead of new cars. The first car I bought in my search for the perfect classic car was a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429. The second was a 1961 Volkswagen Microbus with 23 windows. The third was a Series IIa Land Rover, and the collection continues to grow.

When I sold high end cars I always pushed people towards leasing if they traded a lot. Buying a classic is the only way to not deal with depreciation đđ»

I had a 65 Mustang back in 1979-80. My brother the mechanic and I had a lot of things to say about it. "Fix Or Repair Daily", "Found On Road Dead", "Fails On Race Day", "F'ker Only Rolls Downhill" and "This was one of their "Better Ideas"", and not in a good way.

I used lemon squad to do an inspection on a 64 stingray I bought sight unseen. Way more fun and more of a head turner than the expensive exotics.
All that collection needs is a good water add : my 1999 Yamaha gp 1200 . Its the jet ski equivalent to a classic. Wonderful cars and idea for the family. i look forward to seeing many more interesting vids. Thank you Mr Ross One day i hope to improve my trading to be able to start a classic sportbike collection.

There is a newer car that holds its value. The 2014-2017 Chevy SS. It's actually a Holden from Australia and it's the last sedan under 100k to offer a V8 and manual transmission.

This is EXACTLY like what I am looking for - a good building for a car collection/man cave.
The right cars for you reflect who you truly are. Car guys are of a type. All your current cars are cool but in the future I could see you with a VW/Porsche collection. Buy the cars you love.
As for me, my thing is 20-year-old BMWs after a lifetime of Mustangs. E38, E46, E31, etc. One beauty of these is that right now they are stone cheap; no depreciation left. They can only hold their value or rise. But you must love them.
I still think you would slay at options trading, especially with your short-term mindset. You should do a $500 or $5000 options challenge. Or just try it on the side to feel it out. If you can turn $538 into $335,000 dollars, you can turn $5380 into $3.35 mil in the same time frame. Build a watchlist of highly liquid options with tight spreads like SPY, AAPL, FB, NFLX. Catch a big move on a powerhouse stock and it will make you a believer. You would be deadly.

Bought my first classic car(s) in 1994, several 1969 mustang fastbacks. Same reason as you, they were only going up in value. Restored one and parted the rest out years later. Would buy them for few hundred dollars. Well those parts brought much much higher money years later

I have always bought used. Recently bought used 2019 new truck to pull a trailer. I usually hold onto my vehicles over 15 years. Love working on older cars

Yous should go around the car and show more details about the car like jumping in opening the doors, showing the engine, show the the whole lineup .... love your videos your voice and they way you talk is really engaging, however we can see you are a finance guy. I'm a car guy and I believe that if you want appeal to guys like us we need to see more of the cars ....Anyhow for what is worth ....anyhow I will see ya in the pre-market !!!

My first car was a 1967 Mustang. I pulled the 289 out of it and put a 302. My uncle had a 72 Mach1 but they didnât give it to me since my first car was at 14. It had no floors. Dream car is a 66 fastback 2+2 stick shift black on black

Sold my 1969 440 Road Runner I had for 22 years. Bought a Model 3 now I save 320/month in fuel Compared to our Honda as I could not even justify buying gas for the road runner anymore.

@@TireKickers-RossCameron I did everything I could. Developed a EFI system built carbon fiber parts (keeping the old stuff) and put a 4spd overdrive tranny in. But its a loosing battle. I ended up building a FWD electric CRX that set a world record running 12.6 at 117 mph and it was faster then the road runner and cost $0.10 in electricity per run. I then realized what I need to do with my life! I am now working on a dual motor AWD electric CRX!

If you're into cars with automotive history, might I suggest the Shelby Omni GLHS? Only 500 made, each one personally autographed by the man himself. Very rare. I have a heavily modified GLHT of the same year, just not the Shelby version
you know i'm not a huge fan of that style, I'd prob go for a shelby cobra or a shelby gt 350/500 mustang instead.

There are a bunch of different forums for different brands, there is a lot out there for Porsche and muscle cars, some of the others are a bit harder.

Hey Ross not to be disrespectful or anything just want to see if I can help as I watch lots of car CZcamsrs but for the car scene of CZcams itâs more entertainment based such as showing the car, engine, driving and much shorter videos kind of click baity too just putting my 2 cents not sure what ur plans are for this channel hope it helps! Also possible modifications but obviously not to these classics unless you want to thatâs why a lot of popular cars people enjoy are ones from the 90s Jdm era because they were great cars and also have high modification potential to really customize them and some mods can be reversed hence keeping the value of the car, some mods also make the car more valuable really depends

If you're gonna splash on a new car I'd go ferrari. They almost always go up in value. I know the 488 pista is way more than it was a few years ago when it came out.
Iâm not sure the production ones like the 458 and 488 are going to really appreciate well over the next 10-15yrs
