I miss the old Polyphia where they don't need all the hot girls to put in their music videos.
ikr
I miss when people wouldn't share their feelings.
Eh
#gilfs
@@wheaties2912 you completely missed the damn joke
Remember Polyphia, this is them now. Feel old yet?
Lexis46 Best comment ever!
That's not Polyphia, those are just old women pretending to play their instruments. Like they don't even look like Polyphia, lolol.
@@DonderoA7 u a dum dum
h0ps How am I the dumb one when I don't mistake old women for young men? Like how could you even think that's actually Polyphia for a second? I think it's you that's the dumb dumb.
u a dum dum.
Imagine this being someone’s first time watching polyphia and actually thought these granny’s where shredding
I have a friend who legitimately thought that and I kinda forgot to explain who they were before showing them the song
i mean you can clearly see they just randomly pressing when their face showed up with the instruments
@@aloysiussd A lot of bands barely pretend to play in their music videos
lol that's me
My mom thought this
LET's be real, this is actually a god tier video, the pacing, the shots, the energy, it's memorable as fuck. HILARIOUS MEME, yes, but also serious work of technical beauty! perfect band really.
honestly true, this song is even better because of the video
Been thinking the same ! Stole the words right from my mouth !!!
I love their scooter skills. They drive better than 90% of Wal-Mart scooter "drivers". And more than one of the could fit down an aisle at the same time.
I wish my Grandma could sweep pick.

This comment cured my depression and killed me
LMFAO 😂 I think I'm dieing
Paul Carroll I appreciate it greatly and you!
When I show my friends Polyphia's music for the first time, I show them this song not because of the musical chops; rather, to tell them that they are a group of old women whom changed the guitar scene forever.
oh im copying you now ;)
group of old women with one in particular has sus hairy arms 🤣
I can’t stop listening help
Hol up you’re the real one!
Why are you not verified yet.

My grandma said she was visiting the neighbors for tea, first thing that came to mind was this video lol
I-
This video honestly has such wholesome vibes to me. A lot of elderly people love to spend time with younger people so I feel like they probably had so much fun filming this.
i listened to girl front so much that now i feel ready to start singing that whenever i hear this song

GOAT BRO
I want to like this comment, unfortunately I mustn't.
Brutal for grandmas yes
Been listening to shred tunes for 30 years. This is one of the best I’ve ever heard if not the best. What sets these guys apart is not the absurd skill but the songwriting .... there’s a world of capable shredders out there, hardly any can pen tunes this good.
these ladies were already the best shredders 30 years ago man, you should've seen them back then 👏👍💪
The worst is in that way one of their best songs in my opinion. It really showed where they were headed in terms of style. With riffs that bounce up and down the neck with all the dynamics you can think of like harmonics, slides, double stops, you name it. So distinctive.
Agreed. There is so much technical stuff out there that just sounds like shred exercises
For all those people rip because this was a loona sample
@@Katiafairyspice nope polyphia and loona both sampled this from someone else
Man, just watched them play this flawlessly in Boston last night. It's a sight to behold.
same here buddy saw them in Paris yersteday. freakin mesmerizing
the grannies or polyphia?
Gojira reference
Honestly what makes me happiest about this video is: these grannys had the day of their life
you can really see it in their eyes, they're having so much fun. I find it so awesome that Polyphia gave them this opportunity.

Did sweep picking exist back then?
Lmao but that actually rases an interesting question- when exactly was sweeping invented?

I just wanted to say, I've been working on a personal project for almost 4 years now, and for the majority of the time working, it was you guys that I listened to. Your music has inspired me for years and I wanted to say: Thank you! ❤
It's great to think they've opened up the flood gates for so much creative talent
Honestly, it’s at 1:50 to the end where the song really shines.
yessss
Strongly disagree. Best part of the song by far is that riff with the sweep up on the 14-19th frets. The part playing literally like 2 seconds before 1:50.

Song Structure For: Polyphia - 40oz:

0:27 - 0:54 Verse2
0:54 - 1:22 Verse3

2:45 - 3:12 Verse5
3:12 - 3:54 Verse6 (Outro)
If you keep your guitar sound same throughout the song. ( I mean Clean, Crunch or Distorted) : You don't need to be worry about consistency of your composition. Guitar sound acts like a glue between parts of the song. Because it sounds same in every part. And sound protects the completeness of the song. For this song: Compressed clean is the tone. In that way, you don't need to have chorus melody in the song. Like Yvette Young or Ichika songs.

@@devonhurt8702 Because: for that specific song, they don't use bridge or chorus.
@@yigitalpdikmen331 right, just like a lot of instrumental music. Which is why music theorists typically don’t use verse/chorus/bridge, and instead use A B A’ etc.
it's crazy how much polyphia leveled up when clay became their drummer

I’m appalled. My son was listening to this vulgarity. I heard the obscenity of their music and am glad I caught it before it was too late. He was listening to the audio video and if I didn’t stop him he wouldve been tainted by this and be using their foul language in no time.
My son had the same problem!

Oh my! Oh my! Oh my!
Oh my! Oh my! Oh my! I wish I could be such a BBA! The old lady's maturity and the sharpness of the sound, this contrast make this magical video. The old lady's maturity and the sharpness of the sound are both wonderful. There are many music videos that use old people, but this one is great in that the real members don't appear until the very end! Yes, it is a Polyphia video.
When they cut to the guitar closeups and the grannies suddenly have arm hair xDDD
Omg I just realised it
This is perfection. The way the riffs integrate with the electronic bass lines is sublime. It's a jam! Absolutely love the video too. Keep up the good work.
What are electronic bass lines
i love the unique style these guys have now, its not just shredding anymore its like the ultimate mix of electronica and shredding its a beautiful combination

My favourite part of any polyphia song. I like when they get soulful and less "beep boop" robotic
Perfect harmony of technique and melody. The lines are complex, yet actually memorable
I love these ones with the more contemporary track and the jazzy playing than their more metal ones

After listening to like 5 songs from these guys for the first time ever... I still can't tell if every bass line is layered with an 808 or something. This song has come up on my phone several times and I loved it, but this is the first time I've seen the video - and I have to say I also love it.
I have some peoples grannies trapped in a pocket dimension on repeat partying forever in loop in a tab while i do other things.
Thanks, for that.
You guys are some of the most talented musicians I have ever witnessed. Bar none. Deserving of a hundred times bigger following
Happy to say I have followed Tim since his early Teens posting videos on CZcams. I have loved Polyphia since their first album.
I finally got to see them in concert at The Factory in Deep Bellum... I have been to MANY shows in my life. It was hands down the best show I've ever been to. I would go to every show they ever had if I could afford it. I was lucky to go to the one because my wife surprised me with Tickets for my birthday. She recorded me opening the present and I legit teared up when I seen the tickets. Not because I am some weird super-fan with some kind of celebrity fetish... But, because I understand that you never know if tomorrow is promised to anyone, and every day that I didn't get to see them was one day closer to the day that I would never be able to.
